Vonage deducted money after cancellation

Vonage customer rep gave me a 1/2 off offer that would have charged me $18 for their world plan. I went ahead and agreed to continue my service. Later they deducted the full amount from my account. I objected to this to which they said I would have to use their service in any case as they would not refund my money. After fighting with them on numerous occasion they refunded my money but then someone went berserk and again debited my account for $20. I filed a disput with my card company and got the refund. F*$k!ng company. I was their customer for 4+ years. I am never going to have Vonage again. Hear it loud and clear - Alan Masarek.

Vonage - Technical Support Review

I call the promotion person in the middle of September 2014 and I use my husband credit card but the account is under my name. I received the box is like a wireless but I can hooked up to my house internet. And the vonage company charge to my husband credit card $29.99. But I call the technical support how to use it in the middle of October 2014 and this technician he don't help me out good and I tell him to transfer me to the billing customer so I can cancel my account but the technician said is already taking care. So in that time I'm nothing to worried about billing me for the future. But this month of November 2014 they charge to my credit card for $42.00 and I call them again. Why they charge me for $42.00 and why my account is not terminated and why the billing account or credit card is transferred? By the way this woman I speak with she said I have one year subscription from the vonage and my account is not cancel. That's make me so mad because I don't even use the vonage to international call and the technician I speak with on the middle of October he don't taking care my cancellation and he don't transfer me to the people or billing customer to cancel my account. And now they want me to pay the early termination fee for $80.00 or more than that. I don't trust this company. Vonage customer service is not good.

Signup for 1 year contract with $300 dollar gift card from resturants.com. At the time of signup, I was told that I would be receiving gift card from resturants.com after retaining 3 months of service. After four months of service the gift card never arrived, I contacted Vonage and they told me it was showing on your file and you need to contact resturants.com. I ended up calling resturants.com and as expected they told me to contact Vonage. I was become bouncy ball between them for next few months. At the end on my 7 month of bizarre service, I have to literally convince Vonage to cancel my service by paying early termination fee. Now I have learn my lessons and will be staying away with Vonage scams. I would definitely recommend to watch out when signing up with Vonage service.

Vonage would not refund Fees

Subscribed to Vonages vocalocity service for 2 lines and paid $100 Setup Fee. Setup went fine however, within a period of 3 days since activation, we uncovered a major flaw which says that Vonage does not have E911 Service in Canada. Checked the website and the quote from the rep and verified that the service is refundable if cancellation is done within 30 days. On the 4th day, Called Rep and Customer Service who showed me another link containing another Vonage contract which was for vocalocity which says the fees are non refundable. It just *** me off why these large companies get by with horrible customer service and that Vonage is acting in bad faith by not allowing their service to be refundable since they are an Internet company and it is in good faith that they should return the money if the service has not met Customer needs. Also, the website is confusing and misleading. I am posting this for all Canadians to know and avoid choosing Vonage as their VOIP carrier!

Vonage - They tried to keep me from cancelling

I've been a fairly well satisfied Vonage customer for 7 years. I have had trouble with intermittent poor line quality, but it has never been clear whether this is a problem with my ISP. I've often found that the quality of customer service is poor, but I've not had alot of reason to call them except to make changes in my service. However, when, after porting out my phone number and making sure it worked on the new phone service, I called Vonage to cancel my service, they made it very difficult to cancel service, gave me a very hard time, and tried not to cancel my service. This was month to month service; I did not have a contract, and I did not expect a partial refund for cancelling in mid month. I actually cancelled the day before the month ended. You can't just cancel service online. I called customer service. First I got someone who insisted that my number hadn't been ported out. I checked to make sure the port was complete and the phone number working correctly on my new phone service before trying again. Then I learned that while all other Vonage customer service is available 24/7, you have to call between certain hours and talk to a special office to cancel service. Then when I called back, the customer service person insisted I tell her why I want to cancel service before she would transfer me, and I had to shout at her four times that I don't have to tell her anything, transfer me, and she actually transferred me when I told her I'd changed my payment method to a card with insufficient money available for Vonage to get their hands on it. When she put me through, a Chinese guy kept demanding to know why I was cancelling my service, and insisting that I had to do cooperations with him, before he would cancel my service. I had to shout at him six times that I don't have to tell him anything, I don't have to cooperate with him, cancel my service, NOW. He finally cancelled my service when I told him that I changed my payment method to a card with no funds available, and Vonage won't be able to get any more money from me, ever. The whole experience was completely outrageous, and at this moment, I can't recommend anything about Vonage to anybody.

WAS a vonage customer

I was a customer of Vonage for over 5 years. I wasn't using the service for several months and decided to cancel. After numerous attempts to sell me a service I wasn't going to use, the "customer service" representative stated that I would not get a refund for the amount that I still had credited to my account. She told me to look at the "contract" for clarification. It's extremely unfortunate that, after being a "loyal" customer (as the representative elegantly stated) for over 5 years, I am not even rewarded for my "loyalty" with a simple refund. I know that I probably wont get a refund. Just wanted to let those who are considering to know the facts. There are plenty providers out there that offer cheaper and better service. It was a great service... until now. I decided to look at all of the Vonage reviews on-line, and amazingly I find that I am among the many that had the same issue. Thanks.

Never go with Vonage, they are cheaters.

I signed up for vonage online in Dec 2012 and was promised a 100 dollar restaurant.com gift card within 60 days. I have been following since that day and these *** guys are giving me false deadline on each call , they never transfer my call to the concerned people. I am really pissed of and agonized. They have3 literally conned on the custumer for binding him into a contract. I will never suggest vonage to any person in this world . As the above was a contract , I have to painfully carry on with them now for some more time. They are complete cheaters.
