Volkswagen of Corpus Christi - Review in Dealers category
As a independent Settlement Specialist I was falsely accused of sexual harassment. I was totally surprised when he came from left
field and accusing me of false charges.
I asked him to call the women into his office so I could confront him he said no and even threatened to fire me when he has no grounds. I be dammed I worked for Luis Perez. He is a very dishonest owner and consumers in corpus Christi have complaint about the service. He can barely speak English, not a friendly man at all.
He will get the last laugh when he closes a car deal. He must be {{Redacted}} when he comes out on the commercials.
His motto is peace love my friend. {{Redacted}} would never buy a vehicle there go else where and buy American.
Service Department-Worst I have ever dealt with
If you need something done, your are going to have to show up there in person EVERY time because they don't answer the phone or return calls. They gentlemen helping us, Scott, is extremely rude.
They did faulty warranty work. They have lost my warranty papers 4 times. They tried to get a bunch of work in before the warranty expired, but screwed things up even more. Then denied that they did the work, then deciding that their work was good and something must have happened.
Yeah, my wife got under the car and loosened the arms they installed. It's one thing after another with them and I will never buy a Volkswagon again because of them, and them only. This has been the norm over the 4 or 5 times we have dealt with them. I feel so strongly about it, I will make sure I am as public as possible about the disgusting level of service in their service department.
They don't disguise the fact that they are misleading and making sure they make their buck.
It's blatant and in your face. At least make me feel good about getting screwed over, come on!
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
RUN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AS FAST AS YOU CAN
On other review sites, the general manager is stating that the car was purchased in August and I didn't contact him about the problems until February. That's true, BUT the car sat mostly in my drive the entire time because my son was waiting to get his driver's license.
(with the exception of me taking it to and from a local business a couple of miles away just to keep the engine in shape). The fact is that the car was driven a couple hundred miles before problems arose that are so severe it is undriveable. The general manager (Eddie) knows this, so it's very disingenuous to state otherwise.
Also, he claims that he told me that he is "willing to work with me on the repairs." Yep, he will take my money to fix the broken car he sold me. No thanks!
I have posted this review with the intention of warning other people so they do not do business with this horrible dealership.
I wish I had read the reviews before I dealt with them.
If you haven't and are considering buying a car from them, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU READ OTHER REVIEWS. They are known for shady practices and our horror story is only one of many.
Wow-this is WORST car buying experience I've ever had. The dealer represented my car as in great mechanical shape.
I was buying my son's first car, and told them I needed a sound car. They said this one was in excellent shape. A couple hundred miles later and it needs thousands of dollars in repairs. And guess what?
The DEALER WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THE CAR. In fact, the service guy told me "Oh well, you bought a used car." The general manager is claiming that I could have bought a warranty, but at signing I was told the "Lifetime" warranty that comes with the car would even cover the engine. In fact, it doesn't cover anything. I am appalled at the response of this dealership when I asked them to fix the car.
Here is one of the things he said to me in an email: "The vehicle obviously did not have these problems when you took delivery or you wouldn't have bought it." Really? I wouldn't have bought it if you'd told me it was a lemon!!! My advice? RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.
THEY ARE CROOKS AND ONCE THE SALE IS MADE, THEIR SMILES AND NICE ATTITUDE GO AWAY.
Just look at some of the other reviews they have. This isn't the first time they've done this.
- Would not do the honorable thing and make things right
- Lied to me about the condition of the car
- Put my teenage driver at risk bc the car is unsafe to drive
Preferred solution: Repair the vehicle so it's in the condition you said it was.
Bad Horrible Terrible Dishonest
"Unqualified, Unprofessional and Dishonest!"
Unqualified, Unprofessional and Dishonest! A most terrible experience.
We brought our pristine VW Phaeton W12 with 55k miles [$103,000 when new] with VW Easy drive Platinum warranty, for a battery drain, sunroof switch problem, door lock problem’s and horn replacement. The horn was replaced, the sunroof switch was replaced, but broke again on the way home from the dealership. The door locks were not fixed and they wanted an additional $2050 in diagnostic fees to repair them. [The car is still under warranty mind you!] They also replaced the "Keyless entry module".
That repaired the battery drain, but they didn't know enough about the car to realize that they had fixed the problem. We declined the $2050.00 fee to diagnose the door locks and we picked up the car under the advice of Vince the service manager. He expressed concern that they're warranty claim of $2300.00 would be declined, as they had not repaired the car properly. He advised us to come back later.
We picked up the car, they had it for three weeks and we had lost confidence in them. When we got home we found a severely scratched roof. Damage to the driver’s door glove box, grease spots on the cloth headliner, rattles in all four doors, and the sunroof was still broken, though they had replaced sunroof parts and charged the warranty company for the repairs. Mark, their lead technician was responsible the REPAIRS/ PROBLEMS..
We called Jason our service adviser several times to express our concerns. He gave us a PHONY EMAIL to send our complaints and pictures too, [ jason_----@Yahoo.com] His email at @***.com came back as undeliverable, [ smacks of deception] We tried to call Jason at the dealership several times and he would not return our calls. After two weeks we called and talked to Kevin, a manager at VW of corpus. We talked about the problems and he said he would get back to us the following Monday.
That was three weeks ago and still no call. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY SERVICE! They charged us $205 per hour, which is commensurate for a VW Phaeton expert. They are far from expert, [I would equate them to a "Jiffy Lube that sells cars".
Not a VW Expert Service Facility. I have 35 years professional experience working on high end German cars. I took our car to them because it is still under warranty, and I don’t have access to VW proprietary information. What a mistake.
I will never do that again. I'd rather pay out of my own pocket than have them work on and damage my car again. In closing, My professional opinion is ," THEY ARE UNQUALIFIED, UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST!. They do not care about their customers, THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!
BEWARE!! Peace love and happiness, Jeff and Debbie
- Poor service and inexperience
When they applied the pinstriping they cut into the paint of the car with a razorblade and are saying they are not liable .
I bought the car from lewiseville vw ,the car was a dealer trade that came out of the corpus Christi dealership. i spoke to Leo this morning and he said they will make it right and my car would be repainted in the spots necessary.I did my own research on the extent of the damage and the first shop i went to said they would not even touch the car because it was too big of a job.
Calliber collision was able to provide a quote for the work but would not perform the work due to their policies i guess ( idk) . The owner leo said whatever it takes to fix we will make sure it is fixed. He then called later on asking for my vin number and then said he would call me back. when he called back the first thing that came out of him mouth was that he had bad news, he says he is not liable because the car is over a year old.
He said if i would like to drive down to corpus and have him put touch up paint on the car. that is not acceptable to me and have been told already cover up paint was not going to cut it.

Preferred solution: a proper paint job on the panels that are damaged.
Bad Dealership Review
Johnny the manager is underhanded in business dealings. I will not do business with this dealership.
They say one thing then do different. Buyer beware.
