Magic Jack Plus neglects to inform new customers not all US area codes are available with their svc

AI Highlights
  • - New customers aren’t told all US area codes are available; Hawaii 808 isn’t listed, refunds and RMA are unhelpful, and no customer service number.

Magic Jack Plus neglects to inform new customers not all US area codes are available with their service, ie: Whole states!!! Hawaii (808) not listed after I'd already been corerced into giving my payment info.

What the heck am I gonna do with a phone number, no one here can reach me at without a long distance call???????????

When I complained and wanted a refund/RMA # (return merchandise Authorization #) I was given nothing but THE RUN AROUND and a whole lotta crapp! And is'nt strange that there is NO PHONE NUMBER to call for ....CUSTOMER SERVICE (HA!) I smell something STINK!!!

Ripped off by Magicjack (Vocaltech)

AI Highlights
  • - Bought a Magicjack with a 5-year plan for $69.95.
  • - Unexplained charges appeared ($10.86, $70, $18) and the line was disconnected and not reactivated.

I purchased a Canadian Magicjack, well it's basically a Magicjack with a Canadian phone #, I purchased it and used it for 1 yr, but after a couple of months, I changed the phone # on it was allowed 1 free # change, while doing so I was offered to sign up for 5yrs for $69.95 so I did, gave them my credit card info and and was charged for $69.95. well a year after I purchased the Magicjack, I had several charges from $10.86 and $70.00 and another for $18.00 all from Magicjack, I contacted Magicjack support and they claimed my card was not charged originally for the 5yrs.

I had my previous CC statement, that clearly shows my cc was definitely charged, customer support says according to their records they never received payment. So I said whatever to them and had the new charges reversed on my credit card, Magicjack never did provide an answer as to what all the weird charges are for. Anyhow a couple weeks after the charges are reversed my Magicjack is disconnected and after confronting Customer Support again they claim this is all a mistake and that they will resume service on my Magicjack soon, and I am too expect and email or phone call from their engineering dept. Well it's been over 3 months the number is no longer in service and Magicjack refuses to reactivate my Magicjack.

So basicallty I paid over $100.00 for 1 yr of service, I used that # for my business and had all my business cards and letterhead with that phone # and it's all useless, I even tried ordering a new Magicjack Plus, because I simply want the phone # back and willing to shell out more $$$ just to get the phone # back, basically my order went through, but the Magicjack wasn't shipped neither was my credit charged so far.

I guess i'm being blacklisted by Magicjack. Basically beware of Magicjack and the company behind it Vocaltech, oh and if you want to know about the owner of Vocaltech/Magicjack, I suggest you Google "Dan Borislow" he's a real piece of work and a piece of *** scam artist.
