Disappointed with car service
- - ABS/brake light beeps every 15 minutes.
- - Fan runs after shutdown, draining the battery.
- - Repair bill $3,582.15; issues unresolved after visits.
On 10/5/2021 took my Jetta 2010 into Vista Volkswagen here in Pompano Beach,Fl.
Explained long term problem with ABS/Brake light on dash constant and making a beeping sound every 15 or so minutes.Also fan going off and on after car turned off.This would drain my battery and I would need battery jump to start car.
I did have a few more things fixed and the bill came to $3582.15.
They kept my car overnight to make sure fan worked and on 10/6/21 I picked up car and was told fixed.
On 10/6/21 after getting home noted car fan turning off and on and not fixed. So I returned car on 10/7/21.
Again they stated problem fixed and would keep car overnight to make sure.
On the 7th they kept car overnight again and was told I could pick up on 10/9/21 to make sure working. On 10/9/21 car taken home and I noticed fan sound again after car turned off...but this time fan ran continuously. This Am car battery dead and Had to have a jump again to return car.
This am 10/10/21 I was given a courtesy car.( They said my car insurance...did not cover courtesy vehicle and if I had a accident ect I would have to pay $2400.00. I did contact my Insurance and yes I am covered on any rental or other vehicles.
On October 7th I did call VW of America to complain and find out if my car had had any recalls on the ABS because I had checked and noted there were recalls in 2010 due to ABS but not my Jetta.
I explained to advocate Kaitlan K. that after reading reviews that many people had the ABS and Fan problems.I received a call back on 10/8 from Kaitlan K..
She said" Please contact VW of Pompano Beach and make complaint there as VW of America could not be of any assistance on the matter.
I have had VW vehicles since 1971 and have never had anything close to the problems listed here.
I truly believe VW is aware of the ABS and Fan problems but did not want to recognize in some of the models . My friend has a Tiquan and also has had the fan problems and has also lost trust in the service her at Vista Pompano Beach.
Any assistance in this matter would be of great help in regaining my faith in VW!
