On my initial visit, as I was being checked in, the lady asked if I still resided at (and said my entire street address). Before I could confirm it, Julie interjected, asked me which house I lived in on that street, and informed me that she also resided in the Windmill Farms neighborhood. It was very uncomfortable, and I felt an invasion of privacy. Im sure other customers could hear the conversations as well. Most doctor offices have a face sheet printed out and ask you to verify that the information is correct instead of blasting your business for the office. Also, my information shouldve been on a need-to-know basis. I felt like Julie was not being genuine. Because each time that I came in afterward, she refused to look at me and buried her face in the computer. Therefore, I concluded that she was being a nosey Karen. We continued to frequent this location, each time with a wait time of over 20 minutes at times. On July 5, 2023, my daughter had a contact exam. We had a one-week appointment to check her contacts for the final contact RX. We waited over 25 minutes to be seen, standing up. A knock was on the door during our exam. She continued the exam and didn't say to come in. However, the door opened. A male entered the room and asked the tech to assist him when she could. I was insulted that we waited over 25 minutes for our appointment to finally get back there, only not to receive courteous and personal attention. After our appointment, I checked out and was assisted by Julie. I told her I would like to complain, explained what happened, and asked to speak with an Office Manager. Julie shrugged and said nothing but printed out my receipt. Over the weekend, her eyes were bothering her, so I scheduled an appointment to have her eyes checked. On July 28, 2023, we arrived for the appointment 9 minutes late to avoid standing and waiting. We received a call 6 minutes after our appointment time, but no message was left. Dylan, the employee that we complained to Julie about, called our name to come back. He introduced himself, and I advised him that I knew who he was. I complained about his behavior and didnt understand why they would send him to see us. He informed me that they told him I complained about him and that he only had three hours of sleep the night before that happened because his grandmother passed, but he never apologized. Next, he said he was more concerned; they told him I said that I was glad it wasnt a doctors office and she was undressed, then asked why she would be undressed at an Optometrists office. I asked him to leave now and send someone else in. A young lady came in, and I explained what happened and asked for the Office Manager. She completed our exam, and we never saw or spoke with an Office Manager. When we went to check out, Julie wouldnt look at me but printed what was supposed to be the final RX. The chubby girl next to her kept staring at me, so I had to wave to her and let her know that I saw her being rude and staring at us. She continued to stare. As we were leaving, I looked back, and Julie and the employee looked at us and giggled. My daughter cried all the way home from how we were treated. Mind you, I buried my husband a few weeks before this incident. On August 1, 2023, the Tech texted me to inform me that my daughters final contact RX was ready and that Julie didnt provide me with the final RX. I referred to Julie as a clown. Then, I received an email from Gary Brown, the Director, informing me that they were terminating my relationship. He never addressed the incident I complained about on more than one occasion. I had already terminated my relationship. My other three children decided not to do business with them. They lost five VSP Gold members due to their unprofessional and unethical behavior. I called on August 29, 2023, to request my daughters RX changed and to get a copy of my RX. Julie called, smiling, to tell me that I was no longer a patient and the RX couldnt be updated. The RX they sent me read PT DISMISSED DO NOT SCHEDULE on it. This was uncalled for as well. That information should be in-house. I called VSP and spoke with Marie. Marie informed me that she called their office and talked to Julie, who was beyond rude and unprofessional to her. She asked Julie if it was customary for a patient to complain about an employee, and they sent the employee in to see the patient. She stated that Julie yelled at her and told her that it didnt have anything to do with my visit and that she was arguing and refusing to return my benefits when another woman in the office informed her that it wasnt worth the hassle. VSP documented my complaint and is investigating whether they will still do business with this company, returned my benefits, and refunded my $80.00. They value employees but not patients, especially ones of color.

First and foremost know that I am a retiree on a fixed income who does not have money to spend frivolously or without great consideration. With this said, I decided to seek out Vision Source in Atascocita as they were in my area, and I had gotten glasses from them several years ago. I purchased a Ray-Bans frame and glasses in January 2023. Last Thursday when I went in to simply get my glasses adjusted because they were falling off my head when I bent over I thought it would be simple, easy without a sad response. The optician took my glasses, returned in less than 5 minutes to say "I adjusted them as much as possible but because you've been removing by using one hand I can't adjust any more this". She handed them to me and I said but they've not been adjusted, as they felt the same as when I handed them to her. She said "that's normal wear and tear of not removing them correctly." I was hurt and stunned by her response and by what seemed to be the store policy. At that point I said aren't they under warranty and she responded "we don't consider normal wear and tear." I left the store and returned home to look at my receipt of how much I had paid for Ray-Bans glasses that can't ever be adjusted. At that point I decided to call back to the store to speak with someone who to explain what had happened, the guy offered to have me speak with the same person again, I insisted on speaking with an office manager who he said was Brenda. He took my name, telephone number and said he have her return my call. She called and I explained the situation to her, she said she would check into it but couldn't help at this point and would need to check further. She did not call back. I awaited a call back on Friday morning and no return call. In the afternoon I called back and was told she (Brenda) was out to lunch. It was getting late so I decided to call back and got a voicemail message and left a message for Brenda. I then located an email address and sent an email to Brenda. No response. At this point I decided to call back 3 additional times when I got voicemail. I declined leaving a message. And asked my fiance to use his phone, he too got voicemail but no message was left within 2 minutes he receives a call back "This is Vision Source Atascocita may I help you". At which time I took the phone and spoke with the same male who I had been speaking with previously to say, "What's going on that you return a call to this number but not to me. I asked to speak with Brenda again, and was told she had gone for the day. Do Ray-Ban frames have a warranty? All the components of Ray-Ban products

I made a appointment for my daughter to be seen by these people while I made the appointment I gave them my insurance information and requested that they retrieved her eye doctor in Washington record when arriving at the appointment I was appalled that they had not requested the records or information concerning the insurance. They was extremely pushy when it came to selling daily wear contacts for which cost 4 times what the monthly contacts cost I had to repeat that we did wish to buy the daily contacts when they fitted my daughter with her new contacts they did so only with the daily contacts for which we did not want. Never did they fit her with the monthly contacts it is no wonder that a few days later we was calling for another appointment because the monthly contacts kept falling out. Also 4 days later my daughters eye lashes started to fall out not once did they clean any equipment before they was putting it on or near my daughters eyes. My daughters eyes became inflamed and swollen this has never happened before I raised this issue when I made the second appointment and had to request that they look at the eye lid part of her eye only to find out that at some time she had contracted démodéx which is a mite they then tried to say it was from poor hygiene my daughter is a constant bather and nobody in our family has ever encountered an eye mites after researching on the Internet we have learned that the incubation time for mites is four day she started having trouble with her eyes exactly 4 days after seeing these people the recommendations when it is suspected that a person has a eye lash mite infestation that the proper procedures is to do a biopsy where your eye lashes are lightly scraped to collect a sample of oils, tissues and possibly mite exoskeleton before treatment is started this was not done instead we was handed a pamphlet and only after I ask did the tell me how to treat it. The doctor became angered and slammed the mite medication on the counter after we refused to set another appointment with them and explained we would be seeing a different doctor. I would not recommend them to my dead dog they are very unprofessional and disrespectful they tried to *** insurance and sell us something we did not want and was 4 times more expensive. then they put the blame for the problem with my daughter loosing her eye lashes on her, making a diagnosis with out following proper procedure.

Worst experience i have ever had getting glasses

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Waited for months for glasses. Once they arrived they wasn't correct so they sent them to be corrected. A month or more once again. After one more attempt and another month i finally gave up. I have good insurance so i requested a second pair and for some reason it was almost four hundred dollars out of pocket for two pair of worthless glasses.

This is par for the course at Vision Source. The lens lab is run out of Minnesota somewhere, and turns out defective, scratched and otherwise damaged and imperfect lenses to customers on a regular basis, and the customer is then forced to either accept inferior quality control by the labs and franchises or have the frames and lenses replaced for months and months on end as a result.

The franchises are also flipped between doctors/owners on a regular basis, making accountability, refunds or even lawsuits difficult to manage, since by the time you try to take them to court over a year later you are then involving multiple franchise owners and employees in your ongoing complaints.

Buyer beware.

VISION SOURCE HUMBLE TX

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I was offered an OCT scan at my initial eye exam appointment and declined. The doctor recommended the test and then they had to schedule for another day (mind you they offered me the test about 20 minutes earlier). I arrived at that appointment and asked why this was not done the prior week when my eyes were already dilated. No one had a reasonable answer. I called the next week to check the status of my contact order and was told the prescription was not finalized because I didn't have a follow up appointment with the doctor. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME"! I asked why this wasn't done on the second appointment. Again, no sensible answer given. I then requested a refund for the contacts they didn't order. Still no response 1 week later. Most unprofessional group of people I have ever seen. D Noel

Awful Service Vision Sourec Deerbrook Humble texas

I had an eye exam in December which was fine, I tried to purchase glasses using my insurance and was informed I must buy progressive lenses at a $200 premium over insurance coverage. As is got up to leave they said I would be allowed to buy bifocals with my prescription. At the first fitting the bifocal portion of the lens was placed to high. when I mentioned this I was told to wear them lower on my face. I refused and asked for my money back, they then ordered new lenses and 10 days later the glasses were repaired. After 4 months the plastic nuts that held the parts together broke and I went for replacement. Initial response was that it was my fault because I bought "cheap" glasses. After loud discussion on the office floor they repaired my glasses. recently the glasses broke again. I took them to the store and was told they would not repair them, they did not have a trained person to do so and I must go elsewhere. Lies, smug commentary about my cheapness and plain rude behavior are to be expected from this business, be ware of Phantom charges to your insurance as well. DO NOT GO HERE!

Vision Source - Eye Exam Review from Lawton, Oklahoma

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS OPTOMITRIST! I saw Dr Swales in Lawton, Ok for an eye exam. He told me he needed to take a picture of the inside of my eye due to questionable findings. While showing me the images and explaining certain things. I asked him "what exactly is Glaucoma"? His reply was "I just told you"! (In a very disrespectful tone). I looked at him in surprise due to his tone and sarcastic answer. He then said "oh, good question and proceeded explaining it to me. I have never been treated like this from ANY Optomitrist. It was very unprofessional! I was then turned over to his assistant, Jini to find frames! They had a very limited selection of frames and I was also told that these frames are out of network for VSP due to some kind of dispute between the manufacturer and VSP so I would not get my full benefit on the frames I chose. I specifically asked him if the frames that I picked out would set on the bridge of my nose and cause a big indention on my nose because I had that problem with my last frames (which I showed him). He said "oh no, they will fit fine! So, thinking he knew what he was talking about (after 40 yrs experience), I reluclently ordered them. Picked them up a few days later. The receptionist tightened the temple piece slightly and I left the clinic. After wearing these glasses for the afternoon, they had left a huge indention on thd top of my nose (which I took a photo of to show him proof) I took them in two days later for an adjustment. He adjusted them, and they still didn't fit right! This frame did not fit my face properly! I then asked him for a refund! His assistant said they couldn't do that. I would have to exchange them for some other frame they had! After looking again at his very limited selection of frames, I found nothing. I told his assistant that I thought I was being treated unfairly. (The whole time, Dr. Swales is setting in the next room overhearing our whole confersation instead of coming to help her with this bad situation and try to assistant, Jini! There are more minor details to this situation but buy now I think you can understand the problem here. I was promised a frame that would fit my face properly by Dr. Swales himself and instead, I am out $214 and have a pair of glasses I can't wear. I have VSP Choice insurance. I am appalled by the unprofessional customer service by Dr. Swales. My only recourse according to them, is for their generic frame rep to send them a few different frames for me to try that might fit better which will take 2 weeks.
