Incompetent Design
The VA Lottery App is garbage. Don't use it.
1.
The app is mostly just weblinks to the webpage. You can just use your web browser.
2. The app crashes, FREQUENTLY.
3. The app HIDES your Mega Million and PowerBall playslips so you can't see them.
Once the draw has happened and you want to validate your numbers, they bury the tickets you bought deep in the app where only a detective could find them/view them.

They "slam" you into buying multipliers on your draw tickets (think "x10") You might want to pay $1 or $2 for a draw, but they seem to force you to buy the super $5 or $10 draw, with no clear way to reduce it down.
5. Money won in the app stays in the app.

Incompetent Design
This app is just a URL weblink to webpages. You could just use a web browser.
The worst part of the app is that when you spent big money on draw tickets, they hide them. You can't see your tickets, and after the draw, getting to your previous ticket to verify it actually didn't win is extremely difficult because they bury it deep in the app. The app crashes frequently. The app does not allow you reduce the "x10" factor or similar for tickets you buy.
You might want to only have a single draw for $1 or $2, but it seems to force you to buy a $5 or $10 ticket. It's a terrible app.
Just buy your tickets at the convenience store, and be safe/sane. This app is garbage.

I don't know who came up with this new self serve machines idea where you have to use it like placing a order online.i for one like to use cash that being said if I put in $20 dollars and want to see the ticket number if I want to buy a $5 ticket to see the ticket number on the bottom it won't let be do it I have to purchase the full $20 dollars on tickets that might not want to buy

It's just my opinion, but if you play the online VA lottery you should do it for entertainment purposes only. I've been playing for over a year.
When I started playing it seemed like i would win on a regular basis, but recently the winnings have decreased significantly. I enjoy the twenty cent games and do it strictly for fun. I may win a few dollars here and there, but nothing worth depositing. Once I tried to redeem a $1 bonus and the va lottery experienced some sort of glitch and did not award it to me.
I gave up on expecting to win. It has definitely changed within the last year or so.

Complete SCAM
This cant even be considered gambling because there is calculated risk and mathematical odds involved in gambling. But this site is purely random on an Algorithm and should be investigated and shutdown. The people that run this app and design these games are thieves and scam artists of the highest level, there is no way it should be legal to monopolize the lottery and be able to steal peoples money without actually giving them a LEGITIMATE chance to win!

Dissatisfaction
I have played the scratchers for years, and can afford to, so this isnt a money complaint. The odds of winning on scratchers is not only inaccurate, but waaaay off what they post on their tickets.
Some are 1 in 3, 1 in 4, 1 in 10, etc. It doesnt matter whether your play 1$, 1$10, $20 or $50 scratches you never win anything over $50. This week I spent $220 on a mix of 10,30, and 50$ and didnt wine one dollar back. This has been the norm, no matter what you purchase.
Total bust/ripoff/scam as far as scratchers go. I have played in MD and boom!, you won every 2nd or 3rd time you purchase.
VA lottery sucks, and i will stop throwing money away on my states lottery. Terrible

Your flawed reasoning and lack of understanding odds and probability is telling. You lost the second you handed the cashier your money.
Clarification of previous lottery winning
The ticket that I purchased in a Safeway store in Burke, Va. paid me $2500 dollars, although in the bottom two thirds of the lottery ticket also had $7 million dollars on three different boxes.
Does that mean I also won $700**** dollars also. I look forward to hear back from you.

These digital instant games are trash. You spend a decent amount of money playing and you don't even win it back.
I'm done with it. I will never give VA lottery another dime of my hard-earned money. It's not worth it. It's very interesting when you get three free play buttons or three bonus buttons and come out of it only winning a couple of bucks.
You never win a decent amount. They swear it's not rigged and that every spin is predetermined, but I don't believe that for a second.
At all. They think people are stupid.

Never received my winnings on Va. LOTTERY online gaming
I am 62 year old person. I was sitting at home in November 2023, So I decided to play the online gaming games on Virginia Lottery.
They so gracefully accepted money off my debit card and when I won 200.00. It was we need you to download your ID, your card. I did. And it became excuses after excuses.
Here it is January 2024. So please consumers think twice before you do the online games with Virginia Lottery. There is a lot of people who works for them is not honest. It was near Christmas time and I assume someone needed that 200.00 and took it.
I needed it too. I have never received my winnings. But I did find this out. I was not the only one.
I have sent this to BBB, FCC, FTC. And so far nothing. So I had my 200.00 taken, but I am glad I was and able to inform others. Beware we all need our .
Times are hard. And fair is fair.
Called when asked, noone picked up. Waited 30 minutes, requested call back, no return call. Here it is 2024 and still no winnings. So yes I reffered this com ppl lsint to FTC anx BBB.
Because my money was stolen from me. And I pray this happens to no one else.

But you can buy lottery tickets out of machine and you can buy pick 3 or whatever kind of tickets for draw games and spend all the money you want all day long so what's the difference you're taking advantage of people paying pick 3 but people want to pay online or play online you limit them makes a lot of sense
Also lately the winning of any game online has been reduced I have play 30 times on one game in a row and won nothing not even a bonus especially a lot of the new games they put out rarely I win a lot of money or any money just watch how you play

Why is there always a question about Location? Start a new game after playing a game.
