My flight from SFO was supposed to be at 8:45pm on Sunday August 14, 2016. But it ended up being the worst flight ever! It was cancelled because a stewardess did not show up for work that day. So they told us the next flight would be in the morning so they would book hotels for the whole plane. I stood in line for my hotel booking for another 5 hours. I had to cancel my flight to Boston due to work issues. I had purchased travel insurance through Virgin America (AIG) and cancelled in plenty of time for Virgin to replace me on the flight (it was already at capacity) I was charged $450 (my two daughters were flying as well) and the travel insurance said they would not cover anything. Most uncomfortable seat I've ever sat in. Pitch was wrong and the headrest was too far forward on seat and made for a sore neck the entire flight. Electric outlet on the floor against seat and had to be a contortionist to be able to plug in a device. Seat microphone plug broken, couldn't watch anything on tv for a six hour flight. VA wants to rip off its customers with a flight change. I paid less than $200 for 2 tix in July and needed to change the passenger on ticket #2. I called in to make the name change and was shocked that they would not change the 2nd ticket w/out more $$. What a scam and ripoff!! They want $100 cancellation per ticket (even though only 1 needs a change), plus charge me for 2 new tickets AND no refund for the original tickets. So in total, I... Read more

Last night I put a seat on hold for 24 hours and was told as long as I purchased the seat 2 hours before my flight, my hold would be good. Confirmation number ETZOMX. I called 3.5 hours before my flight to go ahead and book only to find out there was no itinerary attached to my confirmation number, and the flight was now sold out, including seat 3E, the seat I had reserved. Virgin America offered "go for two" meaning when you get two seats its for the price of one. I tried to book my flight to Puerto Vallarta and my total was $1,119.00, i put my promo code. my total is now $848, not even half off? people are buying this baseball tickets just to get this discount. Virgin america is a rip off. i compare their "discount pricing" to cheapoair and travelocity and they are way cheaper..this airline sucks, will never do... Read more

I needed to make a change to my ticket; I used the "auto call back" system and when the auto call came through was placed on a cycle of questions resulting in the auto call terminating the call. I then called back FOUR times, spent nearly TWO HOURS trying to speak to an agent and each time the call was disconnected. Flight canceled without any e-mail received. No compensation afterwards. I have to order another tickets BY MYSELF because I have to be in LA as fast as possible. Really disappointed and I'll never gonna order tickets from Virgin America. Never

My mom us 88 years old with very limited mobility. I called way in advance to make sure she would get the seat on row 3 so it would be close to the entrance and easy to access, with room in front if her to be able to get up. The lady from Virgin America said she could not do anything for me and that i needed to wait until the day of the flight and request it at the front desk. Was traveling back from SFO to JFK , we arrived 40 minutes before departure due to traffic. I asked help from an attractive young black women who refused to help , she just pointed to the ticketing kiosk, since we were there only 40 minutes vs 45 the system shut down for luggage. The system gave us boarding passes but we could not check baggage. When we ask for help again this young lady pointed to the line and said we needed to get on the line.... Read more
