Update 12/11: Got another call from Vida, they requested that I update this listing again with the positive information I provided them, which I'm happy to do. I did find the first few weeks helpful, as the profile review did pick pictures that told a more "full" story...

Update 11/30/23: Upon this review being posted, Rosalia, customer success manager contacted me. She took ownership of not responding, citing she missed the message internally. I appreciate her honesty and candidness that my experience was NOT what is to be expected...

Original review Nov 29, 2023
SCAM. I am horrified at this service and have so many complaints but cant fit them all here.
Overall, Im out over 2k, was matched with horrific messages, and there was just ZERO effort put into this.

For me it was an ABSOLUTE scam and waste of money. While I should take them to small claims court, as they clearly violated the contract in the 2nd month not providing services or responding in time frames THEIR contract stated, but its not worth my time nor pain to get back the 1200 from the second month, but what I can do is warn any potential person considering using them what an absolute and utter scam that this is
My main complaints are that they did NOT engage with my matchmaking profiles 2x a day as in their contract (sometimes going 3 rounds missing communication, IE day and a half to respond), their matchmaking was little more than just randomly swiping right on profiles and NOT reading or making sure they fit criteria, and they were untruthful about their internal matchmaking until I ultimately quit and shut down my accounts.
1.Violation of contract not responding to conversations as specified in their contract: Per their contract, conversations on the apps are replied to every 12 hours. There have been MULTIPLE times where conversations were not responded to for 24-48 hours plus, and I did send screenshots of this as proof to the company. They claim to do up to ten conversations that but they were only engaging with 1-3 men at a time on the applications across FOUR applications.

This was not due to a lack of matches, as there were always more matches in the cue that sat unattended to.
2.Basic preferences were NOT sought out in men. I had expressed concern about this multiple times, as I was told initially that the goal of their company was to only offer you men that may actually be a match and who fits your preferences. When I voiced concerns, I was always told they will talk to the writers and do better
I am actually HORRIFIED at men that a professional matchmaking company would suggest some of the men they did. They clearly had ZERO regard to what I had voiced that my preferences were, nor did they actually READ any of the profiles of the men that they were swiping right on.

And yes, I expressed concerns to Simmy after all three of these incidents, always to a receive a well work on that.
Some of the most horrifying matches are as follows.
One of the first matches in Nov was with someone who is allergic to woke people and dogs. My only two hard requirements were men leaning more politically liberally, and being okay with animals. This was literally the FIRST line in his profile.
The second red flag, and Im still shocked that a professional match making company would suggest to me someone who is openly only a BDSM dom/sub relationship when this is not a preference that I stated.
A third was that I was matched with someone who openly talks about his genital herpes the first thing on his profile. After the last man, I thought I had been clear I was not interested in ANYONE leading with sex related thigns.
I held out hope that even though I thought the matchmaking was going to be more than swiping on apps, maybe we would have luck on their internal matchmaking.

I was told initially that they would start this process day one, however I started Oct 5th, and finally on Oct 21st I asked again about the internal match making as I had not heard anything and I was told that the internal search is an ongoing one, when we come across a match that meets your criteria, I'll send their info over by email and if you're happy to connect we will go ahead with an introduction.
Of course, I heard nothing more about this, and inquired again November 6th. I was then told that they didnt have time in October, because setting up my profiles supposedly took up most of the available hours (160 hours) and their response was Now that we have a full complement of hours we can dedicate more time toward an internal search for you, of which I should update you before the week is out.
As of Nov 17th, I still heard nothing, until I told them I wanted to be done with this, that I felt the contract was violated on their end. To that, then their response about internal matches was was Regarding your internal matches, in all honesty we did come up with limited matches that either did not have kids/or were not looking to have more kids.

Remember with internal matches, we do have to make sure that criteria is met on both sides, and unfortunately a promising match that came up for you fell through. It became clear that they had no intention to tell me this information, and instead were planning on continuing to lead me on that they *may* be able to find an internal match if I kept paying them monthly.
Overall complete scam, they did not honor THEIR contract.

Hi Jennifer, Rosalia here from the Client Success Department. I’d like to start by acknowledging there were instances where the service you experienced fell short of our high standards, and that’s the reason we refunded 1 month of your service—or 50% of what you paid us—even though contractually we had no obligation to do so.

That’s one of the reasons it’s surprising to see that even though you updated this review, you still kept the word “scam” right in the title. We delivered a set of fully optimized profiles that you were satisfied with. We delivered 7 date opportunities with matches you approved. Plus, you took over an additional 12 conversations with matches you were interested in pursuing.

(We are confident that we would have been able to convert many of those 12 conversations into an offline connection had you not stepped in. And we’re hopeful that you were able to turn some of them into dates yourself.) You wrote that VIDA violated the terms of the contract we execute with every client, and this is simply untrue. While I again acknowledge that in some ways your experience was not representative of the high level of service we provide, at NO time did we breach the contract. If you refer back to it, you will see that the contract does not specify, or even reference, a specific response time to messages received, nor does it stipulate a specific number of engagements.

You also wrote that it took us 160 hours to put your profile together. And in the reviews you posted in 5+ different places across the internet, you claimed it took us 120 hours. Neither figure is accurate: You were on a 50-hour package, and we only used a fraction of that on your profile. The majority of your paid hours were spent on your actual search, not your setup.

Regarding your main complaints… Communication Response Times: Upon internal review, there were 4 instances identified where the response time was not within our typical window. While we strive to minimize such occurrences, occasional human errors may arise. The matter was addressed with the writer. Match Presentation and Preferences: We also identified a few instances where a match should have been more carefully screened or more context should have been provided as to why a specific match was sent for approval.

This was also promptly addressed internally and we apologize that this happened. It’s also the main reason we conceded to a partial refund. Internal Search and Matchmaking: A potential internal match was identified for you. However, it did not result in a mutual match as both of you must confirm interest in meeting, and in this case, our other client unfortunately wasn’t interested.

New clients continuously sign up and create the potential for fresh matches, so our internal matchmaking process is ongoing as we explained to you. Ultimately, the results we delivered to you are consistent with your package level and any expectations we would have set.

That said, we pride ourselves on our customer service and regret that ultimately we were unable to keep you happy. We remain committed to enhancing our service based on the lessons learned and we are glad to have reached a mutually agreeable resolution.

Poor quality of services

The Vida team is a low end team that doesn't follow through nor work with care. When there is an issue you get a personalized form letter minimizing the issue.

Overall really frustrating. The writers were low end and did not even write with good grammar or sentences that made sense. The swiping team recommended a match that had obscene language and was reported and blocked but they said it was not their fault, he may have been someone I would like, it was a matter of taste. NO.

No one is reading profiles.

Great idea but poor level of people executing the work. I DID like the gal that was my account rep.

Waste of Money

Company charges by the minute, so they waste as much as your time as possible. You will not save time hiring them, it will cost you both time and money. They are purposefully slow.
