AI Highlights
  • Proposes IP tracking and 7-day bans after 3 failed CAPTCHA.
  • Suggests CAPTCHA gate before login.
  • Says CAPTCHA rollout during bot attacks could help.

Hey VFEMAIL, If you are getting Denial of service attacks ransom attacks. Why don't you just write a simple server script to keep track of every IP address that connects to your website and then blacklist the IP address for 7 days if they fail to pass a captcha test correctly after 3 attempts.

In otherword, they can't even see your main email login web page unless they answer a captcha page correctly you could just roll out the captcha test occasionally when the bot network attacks... Seems to me that blacklisting bad IP addresses would at least keep the service running until Authurities can shutdown the DoS attack.

Pros:
  • Email service
Cons:
  • Badguy dos attackers
