Verified ReviewerPoor patient care process for pharmacy needs
Hound them so that it is not cost effective to them to be poor service providers
Refuses to list inactive ingredients even upon request (drug co won't list either).
I'm a clinician and worked under hospital pharmacy (for humans) for decades and this pet med company casually says in an email to me, 'here's where the mix-up often happens" on their medication ordering site. Part of the purpose of a pharmacist is to not have medication mishaps. They were trying to explain that while the site says the rx is valid, has remaining refills and is not expired, that it was "confusing" because it had exceed the pill count already.
Uh no, if it exceeded allowed pill count, it's not valid, it should say it is not valid. Then, it could have cued me or itself to seek re-authorization instead of stuck between valid but can't add to cart, bc it was listed valid in one area and not another.
Repeatedly, their poor processes are blamed on the customer.
My first interaction with them, I made a mistake on my order, it didn't let me cancel, so called to get it fixed and their first instinct was to scold me about not checking more carefully before placing the order.
Preferred solution: I want them to be better since I am stuck with them. My vet forces us to use them. I'm anxious about changing veterinarians but I might, this company makes me so uncomfortable.
User's recommendation: Go elsewhere unless your vet locks you in to this pharmacy, then consider new veterinary care

Verified Reviewer |Vetcove failed to deliver my cat's food on time - do not use them for urgent needs
My vet's office recently began requiring pet parents to order from Vetcove to ship their pets' prescriptions to their home, as opposed to Chewy or similar online pharmacies. I ordered on Saturday July 26.
My vet's office approved in the morning of Monday July 28. The product did not even ship until Friday August 1 AFTER I followed up via email, and it will not arrive until Tuesday August 5th (a week and a half after I ordered, and outside of their 1-5 day arrival promise). There was no response to my email requesting an update on my order.
Vetcove misleadingly promises food will arrive within 1-5 days, but this is the actual shipping time. They make no mention of their processing time.
Evidently, that processing time is not included in their arrival time promise. For my order, the processing time was 5 business days in addition to the 1-5 days for ground shipping.
During this time, my cat ran out of his prescription food. Vetcove claims to compete with Chewy in terms of user experience. Chewy would have had our food here within 3 days of ordering.
Thankfully, we were able to get the food from our vet's office at an increased price. Do not use Vetcove for anything remotely urgent or time-sensitive.
It's unacceptable to take so long to send pet prescriptions with absolutely no communication.
My vet now charges a processing fee in order to send prescriptions to Chewy as opposed to Vetcove, which I will happily pay if it means I never have to rely on Vetcove again. They are unreliable, uncommunicative, and do not fulfill their shipping promises.

Verified ReviewerWho are you?
This number keeps calling my phone continuously but never leaves a message. I finally answered to a recorded message saying I'm agreeing to terms, conditions & charges for this call.
Some incredibly rude woman gets on the line with a major attitude asking how she can help. I asked who is this? She said the Pet Parent hotline how can we help? I said why do you keep calling me?
She said we didn't call you, you call us. Nope I answered the phone on my end. Then she said I called & left a message asking for a return call. No, I didn't I don't even know who you are.
She said we'll fine ma'am then you don't need me & hung up.
I'm not sure if you all are scamming people or what because I've never heard of you or never called you- I found this site by googling your number. And after that interaction, I would NEVER want to depend on your company to help with my pets as you seem like jackholes who care nothing for people & I'm sure the same for pets.
- Repeated calls to my phone
- Trying to charge for a phone call that i didnt request
- Rude customer service agent

Verified ReviewerDissatisfied with response to price difference question
i will probably have to as that is the company my vet uses.
Went to the product and price on the description page with autoship discount was $61.50, Got to cart and it shows $64.91 with autoship discount. Send email get a response that they cannot see the prices that I am seeing and it shows correctly on both pages. Never gives me the price they are seeing. I immediately send screenshots of the two pages in question and no response.
Waited over 24 hours and went to chat and explained the same thing to them. This is the response I got. "I see. I wanted to clarify that the prices and discounts you see while browsingespecially for Autoship offersare estimated until all of your order details are finalized at checkout.
2:07 pm
Once youve logged in, selected your shipping method, and payment details, the system will verify final eligibility for promotions like first-time Autoship discounts or manufacturer rebates.
If youve already used a particular promotion in the past or dont meet certain criteria (like selecting Autoship), the final price may adjust accordingly before you complete the order.
We understand this can be surprising, but rest assured youre seeing the most accurate pricing once everything is entered and ready for checkout."
Everything was the same and was autoship.
Terrible customer service. Will be letting vet know and hopefully they recommend someone new.

Misleading shipping times
My vet sent the prescriptions in on May 9th. It is now May 22 and half of my order is still pending.
I contacted them via their incredibly slow chat on May 19th and they claimed it shipped gave me a USPS tracking number. 3 days later the post office has still not received the package.
My vet tells me that they waited until the 20th (11 days after receiving it) to verify the prescription so how can they claim it shipped on the 19th? Calling the number is useless, you just get bounced to voice mail.
User's recommendation: Avoid at all costs

Verified ReviewerResolved: Have not received my dog’s monthly medication
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
They charged my credit card on January 31st and it hasn't even shipped yet. Customer service is a joke. All I receive is a canned email or chat response that says it may take between 5 to 7 business days and you can't get a live person on the phone. Prior orders were always received within 2-3 calendar days of my credit card being charged.
Don't order from these people. I never had a problem with Chewy.com in the 2 years I used them.
My vet said I had to use Vetcove because they wouldn't authorize my prescriptions anymore for Chewy. I will be going back to Chewy.
User's recommendation: Don’t use Vetcove.

Verified ReviewerHAVE NOT RECEIVED MY ORDER!
I put in my order for Apoquel & Heartgard JAN 22, 2025.
WHERE IS IT? It has now been 2 WEEKS and I have not received the order. Per USPS
TRACKING: It has been "Moving thru the network" SINCE FEB 1.
If I knew it would take this long, I would've just walked into my vet's office to order!
I have spent $165 on my order and hope I get it
