I'm generally satisfied with this place. I took away one star because it closed two of their four branches, all in my part of Seattle.
- - Verity closed North Central and NW Seattle branches for not enough low-income people.
- - Remaining two branches are far away and require several buses.
Verity decided there were "not enough low-income people" in North Central and NW Seattle, so they closed all the branches in a huge section of town. The plan to open up a branch in SW Seattle, which is lower income.
They could have closed only one branch and accomplished that goal.
Seattle is full of tech workers and the rest of us are just getting by. Now we have to take several buses to the remaining two branches, which are both far away.
User's recommendation: If you live in or near the Wallingford or Northgate neighborhoods, you'll have great service. If you live in NW or N Central Seattle, not so much.
