Felt like I was buying a car with the financial manager intejecting more than the Veterinarian
I felt like I was buying a car... While my dog was in the back somewhere, in comes the "financial person" to secure payment for services.... not even rendered yet, the Vet seemed that she knew what she was talking about but I felt like the dogs health was being held for ransom until I paid half f the estimated cost. That is what they said they needed to proceed, so after a diagnosis and realizing we in over our heads with cost, we got our dog and went to check out only to be told at we owed them another $400 before we could leave!!!!! Really? WTF So after over $700 diagnosis I feel taken advantage of, They called today to tell us they saw something else on the image..... Yeah probably our electric bill, car payment, and next months groceries........

Smoketown Veterinary Hospital is extremely disapointing for small animal care. I brought my rat in to get a fatty tumor looked at and to see about having it removed. We were told the exam was going to be $66. The vet didn't tell us anything we didn't already know....but she sure charged out the *** for useless information. We ended up spending over $100 and my rat still has a tumor. $50 of the exam fee was for "wound treatment". They didn't do a *** thing except shave the tumor area!!!!! I am so pissed!! I could have brought him shaved (why the *** did he have to be shaved anyway, you can tell he has a *** tumor) and saved $50 on top of the other exam fee they charged. THEN, I was charged $4.99 for a waste fee. Seriously???? $5 to walk to a garbage can??? They didn't do ANYTHING invasive to him, so she basically had to throw away a pair of gloves and my poor rat's hair they shaved off. And now they want $460 to actually remove his tumor.....I expecially appreciate the 2 anesthesia charges on that bill. We will NOT be going back. I wish the hubby would have paid by credit card or check so I could stop payment on these jerks that stole from me. If you want to be financially raped for average to below average veterinary services, Smoketown veterinary hospital is the place for you! Oh yeah, I even forget to mention the hour and a half wait for these jerks to steal $100 of my hard earned money for absolutely nothing.
