Exchanged MyPureMist FREE at Bed, Bath &;;;;;;;;;;; Beyond and when the person in charge at the Store opened it, it was also expired (01/2020)!

Customer Service Issues
I like the MyPureMist but I needed some help trouble shooting. It was not working at optimal capacity and being sick with my allergies and a virus, I needed it to work.
I tried calling their the customer number, after a minute wait a recording stated that they were too busy so I was directed by the automated message to leave my number and I would get a call in 24 hours. I never did. I also sent an email with the same promise of a response within 24 hours, I never did. I called every day for a week.
I spoke to the department where they take the orders. They always answer the phone (of course that is their revenue) and spoke to a different person each day I called. On Friday I spoke to Eric who got his supervisor on the phone who gave me bad information. I already knew if you cleaned it with another substance it voids the warranty.
He started making things up to just get me off the phone. He obviously had no knowledge of the product he is supposed to be selling. Supervisor of the sales department...seriously!!! No call backs from customer service and poor advice from sales.
While it is a good product when it works, your customer service is horrible!!!
I hope my calls were recorded. Very disappointed and shame on you!!!

Vapore Mypurmist Steam Inhaler Review
I bought it 2 yrs back.worked very well for a month. After that its trash as blue light is on for few seconds n then again red. Tired of it.

PURCHASE< RETURN & REPLACE WHEN UNIT FAILS @ TARGET EXCLUSIVELY
We are now on our 41st unit...that is correct! 41 FAILED MyPurmist that worked initially; from a period of one time to about 8 weeks.
VAPORE LLC banks on people using it occasionally and NOT DAILY. If the consumer uses it ONLY occasionally and attempts to use NOW & THEN, and it fails, chances are pretty good, that it will be past the warranty period and you will be out the $149.99 and into the pockets of VAPORE LLC! Our experience has proven that when you use this product on a daily basis, it will fail... SO purchase Mypurmist FROM TARGET EXCLUSIVELY (BEST RETURN POLICY) & exchange it @ TARGET EXCLUSIVELY when the unit fails.
Unfortunately, my family member needs a handheld steamer so we endure the poor quality and the royal pain in the backside to go through the return and replace process. Make sure you ALWAYS KEEP BOX & RECEIPT AND DOCUMENT THE SERIAL # OF THE UNIT to make sure NO ONE is recycling units which is UNSAFE & UNSANITARY>..If your unit fails make sure you report it to the appropriate government agencies.
Follow all operational instructions. They love to accuse consumer of not using DISTILLED WATER as the cause of the unit failure rather than design flaw.
3 MyPurMist Units Malfunctioned after 1use to 2 weeks.Company is falsely accusing customer of using medication or some other substance; not distilled water so they can continue denying known defect
Family member suffers from bronchiectasis and life threatening allergies from a wide array of medications, so MyPurMist, is in theory, a helpful aid ( $149.99 HAND HELD STEAMER/INHALER) to help dislodge phlegm. 1st machine: After 2 weeks of daily use,(FOLLOWING ALL INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDING FILLING UNIT WITH DISTILLED WATER EXCLUSIVELY) in Nov 2013, wire twist tightly, red light & fan come on and unit malfunctions.
We notify Vapore LLC of the malfunction and return unit to Target.#2 unit: The replacement after 1 week exhibits issue with blue lights and steam duration is reduced from 25 minutes down to 5 minutes & then stops. We notify Vapore LLC and they instruct us to send it to them. While we wait the 10 days, we replace the $158.00(w tax) investment with another unit so my family member can continue using this machine.#3rd Unit: When we receive their replacement, we fill the unit with distilled water, plug it in and the red light goes on immediately! We notify the company once again and they instruct us to return it to them.
Meanwhile, they kept our receipt so we could not return it to Target to receive our funds back. Instead of being apologetic, Vapore, LLC accuses us of filling the unit with abuterol ( a common medication used in nebulizers for people who suffer from bronchiectasis) causing a suspicious brown substance on the ceramic filter to turn brown. They sent us photos. We were alarmed and told them it could not be caused by us because #1.
my mother can not use abuterol or any kind of medication typically used in nebulizers ( I believe they chose this medication because the company was told by me, my family member suffers from bronchiectasis) and #2 our household uses DISTILLED WATER EXCLUSIVELY for our 3 steamers; our iron and ALL the MyPurmist we purchased. We told them abuterol was not possible and we could provide medical proof from my parent's pulmonologist she was not prescribed any meds. At first, they claimed the technician was guessing and then informed us they sent it to a lab. When we asked to see the proof, because we knew we were being FALSELY ACCUSED, they refused and told us they did not have to disclose the information or honor their warranty.
We are now engaged in a battle of integrity. We believe Vapore LLC is denying a known defect in their machine and trying to escape responsibility by blaming this consumer. MyPurmist is being assembled in Singapore, and our fear is there is a potential that this brown substance (Vapore LLC photos sent to us), could be a harmful byproduct of the machine and could be a health hazard.After investigating web, we discovered numerous complaints with similar malfunctions. We refuse to accept any responsibility for their manufacturing defect because we did NOT VIOLATE THEIR WARRANTY & WE USED ONLY DISTILLED WATER IN THEIR UNITS and we demand our money back without accepting ANY FAULT.
The absurdity of this situation is that we really want this product because it is handheld and allows my 79 yr.
old mother the ability to watch tv as she steams 3 times daily....BUT WE WANT THE PRODUCT NOT TO MALFUNCTION AND BE SAFE.
Is that too much to expect? If there were another handheld product on the market we would absolutely use that product over the flawed MyPurmist but hopefully they will fix the defects and REMOVE the BYPRODUCT/ BROWN SUBSTANCE on the filter.
Mypurmist I thought it was $19.99 but its not its $149.99
call mypurmist on 2/9/2015 to order mypurmist for $19.95 n. I call 185******** thinking it was for $19.95 so I order 2 but its not what is adverst on tv so I call to cancel order next day but lady said its to late to cancel just wait to I receive the package and return the item so I did that I m still waiting on the 2/19/2015 I receive item which I never open .On there website its says 100 triple guarantee risk free for 60 days my item order n. is 6991**** its one month too long and they have no receive the package which contains handfree accessory for $19.95 I didn't order correction I did not call I order on there website but just make sure I order the right item I call .thanks

I am on my 4th PurMist in about 18 months and it just went caput!!!!!!! Its always the same.
It works for a little while, starts getting hot and the blue light starts blinking. They replaced my last one, so I'm not sure this one will be replaced. I too use mine for loosening phlegm and while its working..................it works great!
I have always used distilled water and wait the 30 seconds before turning it on. I wouldn't mind if it cost $29.99, but for $149.99 its a huge ripoff!!

Please report it to the appropriate state and federal governmental agencies. I have purchased & returned over 100 MyPurmist Units before their "NEW DESIGN" .I reported the flaws these units demonstrated during our use.
I also sent photos & copies of emails that were sent to us and those are on record. The albuterol defense was stopped at least in our case. We received our money back on each unit through Target and( the 1 that was exchanged through Vapore ; without signing a declaration Vapore wanted that stated we would not purchase anymore of their units!) WhenTarget had the 90 return policy, not 1 of the 100 units lasted past 90 days under our daily use.Since web sites get cleaned from customer complaints, take the time and energy to report these issues to the agencies for consumer protection. We must hold these types of companies accountable when they know their products have flaws and continue to sell and falsely blame the consumer.
If more consumers did so, companies would have to step up and make products safe and flawless or get their products pulled from the shelves.
I have not tried the new design so I can not comment on how well it operates, but from EXTENSIVE past history with MYPURMIST, I have a good idea . Good Luck & HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE.
I'm on my second MyPurMist and it is not working. It would be a great product if it didn't constantly malfunction.
They should not be able to sell this product.
My neighbors have the same issue. Very disappointed with this product and will never buy again.
Can a class action suit be launched if enough complaints?
I am from Ontario Canada and have a similar problem!
Wish Vapor had integrity and their product was not flawed but more importantly I pray I did not subject my parent to harmful fumes from the units we purchased & returned.
I would not be so concerned about the 150$ as I would be about their dismissal. Also the assembly in Singapore is very alarming.
I would be tempted to buy one just to have it disassembled and tested by a trusted lab.
The suspicious brown substance could be analyzed.
Ive gone through two MYPUREMIST devices. They work great for about two weeks then it starts to malfunction.
For 150 dollars + tax shipping. Not worth the money in the least. My advice is to buy from a store. You will be exchanging the unit about every two weeks.
My personal opinion the company is a compete scam.
Go with something else. NOT WORTH THE CASH!!!
I'm incredibly disappointed.... I loved my MYPURMIST from the very first use, but alas, after 10 uses, it went out exactly as described above.
To top it off, I didn't keep the box or the receipt. Please know that I appreciate all your comments and testimonials.
Bottom line... this is a faulty product, being manufactured by a not so reliable or ethical company.
iT IS MY OPINION, THAT Vapore banks on users not using their product consistently(AS STATED IN VAPORE'S WARRANTY up 3x daily), because it just does not last. Take it from one who has purchased over 19 units and had to return them because they breakdown.
HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT IF YOU BUY FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN TARGET (A 90 DAY RETURN POLICY) VAPORE GIVES ONLY 60 DAYS TO RETURN.
DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THIS IS A COINCIDENCE OR HAS THIS BEEN STUDIED THAT IT JUST WILL NOT LAST IF USED CONSISTENTLY? TRY IT FOR YOURSELF & YOU TOO WILL LEARN.
the very same malfunction is happening to me; before I can even use up the whole bottle of
water that accompanies the unit; the red light comes on and will not steam again.
this is my third replacement;
im afraid to keep past the reutrn date as it may malfuntion and then i cannot return it to target.
this is disappointing as i really like the unit the first 2 times it performs!!!
help......is this happening to everyone? if so, how can the company stay in business????
