Delivery 7 weeks late, unauthoried charges, broken antiques, haven't paid damages - 6 months later.

They picked up my furniture Aug 2 (as agreed), told me to fly home from summer vacation to meet the truck by Aug 7. The shipment didn't arrive Aug 7. Without informing me (but I found out WEEKS later), they warehoused everything, including antiques from the 1880s, in NJ instead - waiting for another shipment so they could consolidate and make more money. They texted me Friday each week - "not delivering now, will send a text next Friday". Same text every Friday. No indication of when it would arrive, and when I called, they had no info. They finally delivered Sept 22 with only forty-five minutes notice. Rude and threatening. Pressured for additional tips, charged for offloading to smaller truck, although it was unnecessary. Damaged three heavy antiques from 1880s, charged me for their full weight on the front-end but used modern light-weight furniture "comps" to figure their $.60 per pound damage payment. Settled two months ago (on half of what the payment should have been) just to get past dealing with them further. It's been 6.5 months since they delivered my furniture (7 weeks late) - and they still have not paid me. Total disaster as a company.

I HIRED THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE OWNERS AND OWN THEIR OWN TRUCKS AND HAVE THEIR EMPLOYEES. FALSE! THEY SEND ANOTHER PEOPLE TO PICK UP OUR THINGS,3 GUYS ON A U-HAUL RENTAL TRUCK. THEY LOAD OUR THINGS AND END UP CHARGING US 3 TIMES THE ESTIMATED PRICE. ONE WEEK LATER WHEN OUR THINGS ARRIVE TO DESTINATION, TWO YOUNG KIDS IN A PENSKE RENTAL TRUCK DELIVER OUR MOVE. AFTER THEY LEAVE WE REALIZE WE ARE MISSING 4 BOXES WITH VALUABLE CONTENTS. WE CALL VAN LINES OF AMERICA, TALK TO CRISTINA AND LISA AND THEY DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE THEY ENDED UP BEING A BROKER AND THEY HIRED 2 DIFFERENT OTHER COMPANIES TO DO OUR MOVE(WE WERE NEVER INFORMED ABOUT THIS). TODAY, 2 MONTHS LATER, NO ONE TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR LOST ITEMS AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY DOESN'T EVEN REPLY TO US. THIS COMPANY LIES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND AFTER THAT THEY DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS. WE WERE LITERALLY RIPPED OFF.DO NOT HIRE THEM!
