The company van Chevrolet in Scottsdale sold me a car after an apparent inspection that almost took my life due to a broken frame underneath the car along with other damage and all the manager Christopher Gamboa said was not my problem. Sales guy was Ralf. You should probably not buy a car from here and they should maybe think about the media attention they are about to get.

Met with Ron Daly yesterday at Van Chevrolet with my mother in law to discuss my deceased father in laws vehicle he leased at Van Chevrolet. Ron was not helpful, arrogant and texted while talking to us.
When I asked him for GE Financials phone number he told us to look it up ourselves. The was so disappointing on so many levels
Resolved: Will NOT be going back!
I made an 8 AM appointment a week ago to get an oil change on my truck and have them check a vibration noise coming from my muffler. I brought the truck in at 8 AM and received a ride back from the shuttle.
At 12:30 PM I received a call from Van Chevrolet to give me an " update ". Not only have they not had time to check the vibration noise, they had not even done the oil change and said they would probably need to keep the truck overnight to be able to service it. I've never had to wait this long for an oil change! I told them to forget about checking for the noise and just do the oil change.
They called me back an hour later and said they still hadn't had time to get me in.
I told them to forget about it and went and picked up my truck. I definitely will not be going back to Van Chevrolet!
Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale Rip Off
These guys are full blown dirt bags. My GF went there through the Costco program with the expectation of being treated with some respect and integrity.
Not even remotely close. The car she wanted, at a price she could afford...was conveniently gone? But wait, they have a car that they could make "work", but it was at the "sale". Cue in the bait and switch.
Promising to take care of her, they had a guy drive her to the tent sale where she some how ended up paying 4K over what the car was advertised for in multiple venues, plus 3500 for a warranty? When confronted about what appears to be fairy aggressive and less than honest sales tactics....specifically why she was charged over the advertised price, the sales staff passed the buck, feigned insult, promised to look into it, and failed to return calls as promised.
Never heard a peep from them and not surprised. These guys are what gives car sales a bad name, don't trust them.
Chevrolet Car Engine Review
8000 for a new engine on a 2014 Chevy Sonic that we bought from Van. They are refusing to come down in price at all and to make it even worse, sales called us the next day and asked if we wanted to buy a new Sonic! Rip off artists and so shady.
Van Chevrolet Diagnostics Review
Don't bring your vehicle into Van Chevrolet for service. They will misdiagnose your vehicle purposely, so that you will spend money on something else to get fixed when it's not really the problem. Beware!!!!
Bad Customer Service
I purchased a 2013 Chevy Malibu LTZ on 5/24/2014 from Van Chevy. I was working with 2 lady sales reps and they was very helpful and nice.
I had talked with my sales rep and she was aware that I had a car to trade in and to use as my down payment. I have been to car lots before who waste my time and I wasn't going to drive my with no insurance and for me to be told "there is nothing we can do" with that being said, I went to the car lot to see what my options was just based off the value of my trade in and cash down. My first experience with the sales Manager B**** was very uncomfortable and rude. He talked to me in a very unprofessional manner and raised his voice to say I'm wasting his time.
He made a big issue about me not bringing my trade when I was just shopping around. That was our first run in on bad terms. I pick one car but the bank terms wasn't good, so I ended up with the 2013 Malibu LTZ with better terms and more nicer car. When I got the car the windshield had rock cracks and the back window rear door window was missing tent.
I immediately addressed the issues to my sales rep. My sales rep did try to get the issue resloved and get my window tinted, but her manager said he didn't have to add the tint and wasn't going to. The manager suggested that it just be repaired and I stated no the windshield need to be replaced and the rear window need to be tended. This is a 15,000 car with 3 windows tinted and rock cracks.
They assured me that it would all be taking care of and not to worry. Well about 2 weeks went by and no call from anyone. I called left messages, and just got the run a rounds. Finally, I received a call from Arrowhead glass to repair my rock cracks and not to replace my windshield.
After we had agreed to have the windshield replaced. I was told that someone would call me and still no one called. I ended up talking to finance guy and he got on it right away. I did receive a call to have the windshield replaced.
I was advised that the Arrowhead glass did not do tinting or glass replacement. So, I address the concern again to my sales rep and to the manager. I wanted to know why my rear door window had not been setup for tinting. The sales manager than said he was not going to tint my window and that I would just have to deal with it.
I was very upset and have reached out a few times to resolve this matter. I spoke with a sales manager name Keith as of today 6/9/2015 in the early am and he was supposed to return my call and I have yet to hear from him. He was also very rude and told me I could contact corporate but good luck because they are in Texas. He was also fast talking me and being very rude.
I do not at all appreciate this type of service from a dealer and I signed a contract for 15,000.
If this matter is not taking care of I will advise the bank of how they are handling their customers. I will also go up the chain of command and write any letters to get this issue resolved.

My wife purchased a 2011 Equinox from Van. She also purchased an extended warranty that included oil changes.
Everything went well until I came in for an oil change with 30,000 miles. The service adviser told me that I needed to have the transmission flushed, whatever that means.. I told the service adviser that I had read the owner's manually and no such service was recommended at 30,000 miles. He said Chevrolet had revised their service recommendations.
He whips out a booklet open to the page that he wanted me to see. I immediately flip the book over revealing that it was from Van Chevrolet not General Motors. Oldest trick in the book. I told him to just change the oil.
I waited for 2 hrs. I drove the car 5 miles home. I checked the oil, it was black. They hadn't done anything to my car during that 2 hrs.
Now I can't go back to them. The trust is gone. I won't know if they will actually install the correct oil or some cheap substitute. I won't know if the oil filter is actually changed.
No more oil changes even though we paid for them. This is exactly what they wanted and their ain't a d*** thing that I can do about it.
One star service in the end.
Well can not say I would recommend this dealership to anyone buying a car. I am a wholesale parts customer with Van Chevrolet and that is how i found faith in them to go and buy a car. Now I bought a car that was not ready to be given to me and they needed to finish up doing there reconditioning before giving it to me.
Car had terrible reconditioning. Brakes squeaking, alignment was totally off along with a new part they put in damaged. Spare tire not aired up. Car dirty and wax all over the outside.
If this is how you treat people that spend money almost daily with you I can not imagine someone right off the street coming in.
They offered me free car clean again. I declined.
ALSO THEY GAVE ME THE CAR WITH NO GAS IN IT. GAS LIGHT ON.
WOW GREAT SERVICE.
Van Chevrolet
Van Chevrolet in Phoenix Arizona (Scottsdale) and their sales team are all a bunch of lying, sneaky, bullying people. The staff there that aren't directly helping you, ignore you, or say they cant help you.
Their sales staff lie, and waste your time with deals, and imaginary numbers that completely change at the finance time, they will tell you that 'you wont get a better deal anywhere else', over and over again, only to rape your credit, and down payment. I spent literally over 10 hours there, from 10am to 8pm (their closing time) trying to make a deal work. This includes going to other dealerships on that strip to get others opinions. At the end of the day, they told me, that if I didn't 'Take this deal' I would never qualify for anything like it again.
So the deal I took? A 2007 Chevy Silverado, with extended cab, V6, work truck with no other bells or whistles, at payments of 609$ a month, and full coverage insurance of 410$ a month. Now let me put this out, it was 8-830pm, no other customers there, most of the staff had gone home, just me, and my mom. We were both tired, hungry, and fed up with the back and forth, that we weren't thinking straight.
When I initially talked to them, the payments were 389$ or something to that effect, so I agreed at that time, and signed their little makeshift 'customer agreement' paper, which was no more than a blank white paper, with the sales managers writing stating I agreed to purchase said truck at that price. Finance came around, and after it was all said and done, I was stuck at the 609$ payment... After all the stress from the day of being there, and what felt like harassment by the staff, we had given in, and signed, and then we see this change in payment? What gives?
Some deal I got. I feel like they forced me into that decision, seeing the condition me and my mom were in. They spoke to us like we were '***', because my family is Hawaiian? We are just as American as the rest of you.
I feel cheated, lied to, and lost, now that the truck has since been repo'ed. My parents credit is gone (before this they had perfect credit, and of course, I asked them to please co-sign on this 'steal of a deal' or 'deal of a lifetime') Don't let dealerships pull you around.
Tell THEM what YOU want. Not what THEY want.

Hey all you guys whio got scammed and robbed. General Motors has a fraud complaint department 1.800.244.3460.
Lodge a complaint there first ...and with the State Attorney General if your really ticked.
General Motors does have ethical guidlines with their dealers and if they find wrong doing it will cost them in fines and perhaps you might even get some type of compensation.
So take the time have your facts in order and file a claim. Get SOME satisfaction. There are ethical dealers out there and believe it or not General motors does follow up on these complaints. This number is to a 3rd party who General Motors has investigate fraud complaints. Use it.
Just bought a car from these scammers 2 days ago. Verbally, they told me my car was $17,000, I took the car home the same day, My father who is an accountant looked over the paperwork, caught them because papers I signed were for $27,000 or so.
So I just bought a 2010 Honda Civic with 33000 Miles for $27,000 and they are so *** rude and ignorant. They don't accept their fraud and if anything kicked me and my brother out of their dealership when we reported fraud to them. The guy who sold us the car stood in a corner as if he didn't even know what agreements we had.
Total scammers and ***, do not go to this dealership guys. I'm fresh out of college and my frist job and now I'm in debt in this economy because of these jerks.

I understand completely, We just "bought" a 2012 Chevy cruze from them, filled out the paperwork and drove home. after 22 days of not receiving tags or finace info, I called them to see what gives?
The director of finance got on the phone and said " i can't obtain financing and need the car back!" 22 days? and you didn't call or anything? I've paid for insurance, XM radio and almost changed the wheels as I thought we were all taken care of! They stated they called and left me messages, not on my number!?
These guys are shady and crooks. Im originally from NC where you don't leave the lot with a car until it is 100% approved and you sign the bank loan papers that day. That was my understanding of how car buying works?
Now I'm carless and they have ran my credit though so many places that i risk not being able to get financed at another place due to " to many inquires"! They really need to be reported!
yes, the finance guys are sneaky and crooked. buyer beware here, they will sneak in an extra payment, telling you its the first payment, just to hustle another couple of bucks from you.
they are crooks, but then again, they are all crooks.
