Valana Minerals HORRIBLE Customer Service!

The owner of this business "Valerie" is a liar and is a reseller of Essential Wholesale. Her products are NOT completely handmade by her as she says they are....and when I asked if her products were truly handmade (or if she used premade makeup bases) she lied and told me that I could "rest assured" that her products were manufactured by her. This is a blatant lie. Google Valana Minerals ingredients for her Premium Performance Cream Foundation and the base she is using will pop right up in the search bar. She's using Essential Wholesale's Essential Certified Creme Base to make her foundation and is just mixing premade powder to the base and charging people $36 for ONE ounce of it. If you get the SAME base DIRECTLY from Essential Wholesale it will cost you .40 for a sample and $15 for a 16 ounce BOTTLE. You can mix your OWN powder in the same base and will have the EXACT same product. Same thing applied to her lipsticks, she's using the Melt & Pour Vegan Lip Balm base from Essential Wholesale and just adding preblended colorant to it. I've also seen where people have outted this business for posting fake reviews. All of them will reference knowing Valerie as a "friend"...all of the users have the same username, all of them will be from California (where Valana Minerals is located) and SOME of them will even be where Valerie is posting as HERSELF under the username "afribaby" which is her business name. It's RIDICULOUS that this woman has been getting away with this for so long. The problem is not so much that she is reselling premade makeup to people......but the fact that she's reselling premade makeup from people at EXTRAORDINARILY high prices and is LYING to customers about it. "Committed to honesty in labeling" my ***.

There are PLENTY of other mineral makeup lines, Monave, Milan Minerals, Meow Cosmetics, etc that TRULY manufacturer there own products. It's just down right deceitful to tell a customer who lets you know up front their concerns about resellers, that you aren't one when you KNOW you are. She FLAT out lied to me. Point blank. You can get the exact same products she's selling for $30+ for pennies (literally). Ive also seen old forums from the TKB trading website where she is on there looking for recipes (again posting as herself).

The worst type of customer service. Thank goodness I did my research before buying and didn't get roped into giving this woman my money.

Its a shame that this person felt she needed to lie about making the products herself. our industry does this all the time.

all of the big name cosmetic companies say they develop their creams and serums etc but the truth is almost none of them do. everything is private label. even Monave sells their minerals on a private label basis. I market (not manufacture) a skin, hair and makeup line under my name but I tell all my clients I do not manufacture them.

I look for the best products with the best ingredients with the best results and hand pick every single product. don't be too mad at her.

shes just doing what every single hair care, skin care and makeup company does. she just got caught by the one person that actually does their research

Wow. I had no idea, I saw someone mention this somewhere on youtube, but I looked at the ingredient lists for her products and when I saw that "Rosemary Oleoresin" and "Neem Oil" I knew it was true.

No one but Essential Wholesale lists their ingredients like this. I bought powder from Valana before and didnt like the feel of it personally, but it is an absolute shame that she's lying to her customers about her products.

seems like an ethical issue to me, if youre a reseller fine....just let people know up front. Ive never heard of meow cosmetics but I saw someladies on longhaircareforum raving about it, I will try that next.
