Recognizing a nurse from pain clinic Olympic...

Recognizing a nurse from pain clinic Olympic plaza My name is Daveena Thomas and my husband has been going to ut health pain management for some time., Well I usually go with my husband to appointments because he is deaf, He gets fustrated easily when being handled with impatience because of his hearing loss, The last view appointments my husband went to by himself due to me being ill, I was nervous my husband going by himself, He doesn’t do well with people who don’t acknowledge him or talk to him because of his hearing loss, they treat him like he is not there, like he is stupid, He thought he would go to his appointment and have a rough time. Well the last two appointments my husband came home with a smile. He never smiles. My husband has been miserable for years bc of his debilitating pain, He’s not a bad man but he has a hard time finding joy, Well he came home and I asked him both times how did it go. He told me he was seen by the nurse Jasmine. This is the Dr. Houston nurse. My husband told me that jasmine went to the waiting room, and wrote his name on a paper to let him know he was being called, She went as far and had a whole conversation with him using paper to communicate, My husband has never experienced this type of patience or kindness. I know he can be difficult to please, I know it’s a busy place, but jasmine doesn’t rush him, She never has. At last visit, when dr rushes into the room, she continued to take her time, continues to communicate everything to him, she did not allow the dr to rush him. She allows has him to communicate at his pace and she also helps him communicate with others. this is the 3rd time jasmine has helped my husband. My heart and mind is at ease when I know he is going to aww her. I wish their was a jasmine at every hospital and every dr office. I have been taking care of my husband for years, and no one has ever treated him the way I would treat him, Jasmine treated my husband with more care than his own family. If my husband is happy with someone’s service, they have to be an angel. I hope jasmine gets the recognition she deserves. Jasmine if you are reading this please never change. U bring light to everyone you see, Not only did she behave this way with my husband, but I have seen her speak to other patients. She remembers small things about people, she says happy birthday to patients and asks them about their day. You can tell when a person cares and boy is this her calling. Sincerely, Daveena
