Substandard customer service and shipping

Never buy from this online store! I bought a sweatshirt on the USA Baseball Shop website on 11/12/19 for 50.00.

I was charged 5.00 shipping. The XL product I received was too large so I needed to exchange. After reading fine print on website I learned that the customer is responsible for the return shipping charges. On November 19th I wrapped up the item and took it to UPS Store.

It cost me 9.46 cents to return item (cheapest rate USPS) along with the time spent driving there and waiting in line. According to the return policy, I needed to allow 5 days for delivery back to the shop and processing in order for my credit card to be refunded 50.00 ( Now I am into the sweatshirt shipping charges $14.46). Thats not all! USPS showed through tracking number that the returned item arrived at the return address provided on the website November 22 2019 at 1:20pm.

On December 5 2019 I had still not received credit for the return on my credit card. It had been over two weeks since I returned the package. I called the company, on December 5 and, with no apology, I was told that they never received the returned item that I had proof of delivery for. The customer service representative acted like it was no big deal that my package had not been received and I had not been credited in a timely 5 day manner (even though I paid almost 10.00 and my time at the post officeto return it).

In my understanding of the phone call between me and the customer service representative, she inferred casually that losing packages is not unusual for the company and after I pressed her for more information, that maybe it had to do with the address where I sent the package. 2933 S Miami Blvd. suite 219 Durham, SC 27703. Isn't the company concerned about missing return packages?

In addition, I only noticed that my account had not been credited when I was itemizing my credit card.

The representative credited my card over the phone. Again without apology or further explanation.
