Verbally abused by Dr. manning, Optometrist at BJs in Howell, NJ

I went for my scheduled eye exam at BJs Wholesale located in Howell, NJ on 6/8/18. After filling out paperwork, I went into the exam room. Dr. Manning started me off with a "puff" in each eye, then we both sat by the desk area, he proceeded to ask me how long I had been using OTC eyeglasses. He immediately became very verbally abusive, actually yelling at and chastising me! I informed him that I did not have an appointment there to be verbally abused and treated inappropriately. I got up and walked out. I proceeded to customer service and asked for the store manager who was Bree. We went back to optical and talked to John, who defended the unruly Dr. manning! I asked for my paperwork 3 times, which John finally handed over to me. I thanked the BJs manager, she continued to talk to John and I walked out of the store. Do Not go to this store for an eye exam!!!

I went to JCPENNEY Optical (SLC, UT) and received a totally

This is such a long story! I got an eye exam there on October. 6th. Got two pairs of glasses ... After just a few days wearing one pair ... A lense fell out while I was shopping and lost!! They said they'd replace lense free of charge! But I was having trouble with this new prescription and told them so. I had an appt with them yesterday and the Dr redid an exam. He said there was a slight difference in the prescription but tried to blame my sight on my age, being female, having Diabetes and Cataracts!!! Ok ... He also stated that how my answers to the exam had surprised him!!! As there were a few "between 3 and 4''s" (not those exact numbers - just giving you an example!) I answered with what I did or didn't see!!!! Then he decided he'd have to meet with the Optical manager .... They met in private to discuss ME - my issue with needing a diff perscrip. I was NOT in on that discussion! ????? Then the manager came out and basically told me they wouldn't redo my glasses because of something within their "perameters"!!!!!!! I was shocked! FRUSTRATED!!! I wouldn't go back just for the heck of it ... I need better glasses!!! Who are they to see through my eyes??? There are many more details to this!!!!! Can anything be done in MY favor? I told this mgr to get the lense replaced on the pair that was lost, call me and I would pick them up and be done!!!!! Three years ago I got glasses there and they were perfect! That was with a diff Dr. I just can NOT see CLEARLY with these "new" glasses!!!!! Neither far or close up! I'm just beside myself! I want and NEED a better prescription!!!! Please help!

I would like to compliment your associate, Dora at store 11054at jcpenney.Bought glasses at another opital store and went for adjustment 4 times with no satisfaction. I always bought my glasses from Dora and i though she could help me. Sure enough when she looked at me, she knew the problem. Problem corrected. She knows her job very well and was helpful even though i wasn't her customer. I just got my grandaughter's glasses there. Next time i'm staying wth Dora.She has been with that store a long time and has experience.

US Vision Lab for JC Penney Optical

I ordered glasses on 10/20/15, today 1/12/16. They called to tell me they are in. So many things went wrong. Incorrect spelling of name, wrong date of birth. They credited the wrong Dr. so we had to credit that and rerun it under the correct Dr. The first pair were the wrong frames. The second well lets see, they made me dizzy, my eyes physically hurt, the plastic wire to hold the lens was no seated in the grove of the lens and there was sticky on the stem. I took them back on 12-5-15. I just got the call that they were in. Oh and they would credit me $30 for my patience and inconvenience. Really $30 wow how generous. Twice US Vision told me they would have to find out where my glasses were in the process and would call me back. Still waiting. Service was deplorable. I will not ever go to JC Penney optical nor any other place that US Vision Lab services. I will not hesitate to spread the word to not frequent either of these places. Oh and I havent picked up my glasses yet so I dont know if they are ok or not.

glasses are ok. Very Cheap and already scratched and the finish is coming off the frames. I have had better luck ordering online.
