When movers arrived the first thing I was told when going over the paperwork was that the movers take TIPS. I was not told that when the move was scheduled. This concerned me the whole time my property was being moved. When it came time to pay the bill I asked that they add a tip to it as I felt pressure to give one. Turned out they couldn't add it to the company bill so instead the movers in their truck followed me to a grocery store so I could get cash. This entire experience was very upsetting. I will NEVER use their company again. It should be disclosed that the movers are allowed tips IF that is the case when your move is scheduled. I was blindsided with this request.

US van lines - DO NOT USE
This company is horrible, we scheduled our move from Miami to Boston and first of all It took them15 days to deliver our furniture and boxes and when The driver (very rude guy) arrived, he told us we needed to pay extra $400 for him to bring our furniture inside. We called the company and talked to a guy named Juan, he was nice, but transferred the call to a lady who was really rude, she yelled at me and then hung up on me!!!! We refused to pay and the driver and helper left our stuff outside, plus damaged our coffee table, dresser, dining table and our sofa! Please be careful with This company, they lie and then they are super rude. I should have trusted the reviews.

Shame on United States Van Lines and WeMoveIt
My 80 year old mother sold her house and contracted United States Van Lines to move her from Upstate NY to Northern NJ to live with me. We left a few days leeway for moving before the closing in case something came up. US Van Lines was supposed to come Monday, 11/28. They never showed and never called. We placed multiple calls that weekend before to see when they were coming but never received a return call. We finally were able to get hold of someone late Monday who said that the truck was coming from Chicago and hit bad weather. They would be there Tuesday. My brother lives in Chicago and when I called him, he said that the weather was beautiful. No storms or snow as the trucking company said. Monday evening, I wrote a note to the President of US Van Lines and asked for help. I expressed mailed it to get their by noon on Tuesday. At 12:30 I get a call from someone from the Presidents office who would try to help me. She was not very friendly, but I just needed to get this done ASAP. Tuesday she told me that the truck broke down in Milwaukee. On Wednesday, the actual trucking company, (We Move It) who apparently US Van Lines subcontracted to, called me to say that the drivers were stopped at a check point and grounded for 10 hours in Illinois for being over hours and would be there Thursday morning. Thursday morning I was told that they were leaving and would be there Thursday evening between 6 and 8. I had to call each day at least 8 to 10 times to get anyone to call me back to tell me what was going on. I had had enough and told the We Move It company that I now felt this was a scam and was going to report both companies to the Attorney Generals office for perpetrating a scam on an elderly woman. They had taken a sizeable deposit from my Mom when it was initially booked and now did not seem like they would honor their contract. They were supposed to be in Chicago on Mon, Milwaukee on Tuesday, but Thursday morning they were still in Milwaukee? I was tired of the lies and the delays. We Move It got very angry and decided that they would not come after all to move my Mom's stuff. She was now stranded and we had already closed on the house the day before. She had to pay extra to the buyers to stay in the house. She was ill and the stress only exacerbated her illness. My two brothers and I all had to *** time from work because we could not leave our mother there stranded and we might have to rent a Uhaul to move it ourselves. After much conversation he decided that they would come after all. They showed up at 10pm Thursday evening in a 26 ft Budget Rental Truck that was already 1/2 full! They would not load the truck until the next morning unless we all pitched in and helped. So my brothers and I and my 13 year old daughter dragged boxes and furniture out to the truck to get it loaded that evening. We received no paperwork for what they had taken of our mothers or what the actual weight was of the truck. They didn't deliver the stuff for 4 more days. Then they failed to deliver some of the furniture and accused me of having someone else's bed. Obviously they had no idea what they delivered where. When I complained to US VAN Lines I was told that we could get $100 credit back for our pain and anguish and we had to sign a paper that said we were never, ever speak of this to anyone. Frankly they can stick the $100 because the public needs to know not to use this company. They are unreliable and subcontract. It never says that in their paperwork or on their site. They lied about the weather, the truck breakdown and the grounding of the drivers. The drivers confirmed that they were never grounded. Shame on these 2 companies.
