I got expelled from my online school and discovered this school so thought it was not such a bad idea. The pricing was okay, but what they do not tell you off hand is that if you want to buy the course materials that costs extra. Like $29.99. So the pricing is...

Responding to the review up top. I called and spoke to a Rep and didn't feel misled.

Yes the fee changes, because of what I read if you just want the education then the cost is one price but to get certified then additional fees are requested. Mentioning the University of Phoenix as an option seems like a plan but from a parent of a child that attended there you will being paying a *** of a lot more from them especially because it is an out of state college.

You will pay out of state fees up to over an additional $20,000 plus. It's convenient because its online but all their credits are transferable.

I have completed the course with a 96 GPA. There is not one medical facility I have contacted that will let you work from home, as well as not one that is looking for someone without prior experience! $1,500 down the drain. The institute has some random people...

The same thing happened to me! I was promised a job from home would be easy to find.

They also told me I would get a refund if I didn't get a job within a year of completing the course. One big fat lie!

I missed one assignment and was dismissed. Absolute scam!

I seel that now they are charging $1700.00 tuition for the same course, they say I owe over $1600.

Love this experience while you're trying to get it done at home because you won't get a job. Hospitals and Clinics don't look at you as completing or "graduating" because it's not considered the same as going to a REAL school and getting your credits. They also offer...

None of your complaints make any sense. If hospitals and clinics are saying US Career Institute isn't a "real" school, then it sounds like you need to start applying at "real" hospitals and clinics.

US Career Institute is an accredited institution from which you can obtain certification or an associate's degree. The only reason these hospitals and clinics might not accept these credentials is because they're specifically looking for "more" education, like a bachelors degree, or they require other-than-correspondence (Both of which you should have researched beforehand).

Regarding the money-back guarantee and "fighting" because you didn't "follow every rule" because they "didn't inform you": Their policy is spelled out on their website. It's called "the fine print" and every business out there has it. Shame on you for not reading it, then demanding to be compensated for your negligence.

And you complain about "false promises" but fail to explain.

Also, how did they "make" you pay thousands for nothing?

If you literally received "nothing," then yes, you have a case. But if they sent you so much as login information for a course, that's something. And they didn't "make" you pay unless, of course, you refused, they turned your account over to collections, and for fear of further staining your credit record, you reluctantly paid your outstanding balance.

I wager this isn't the case. In fact, I'd go so far as to say you're like the majority of the naysayers who is looking for an easy way out, has an overwhelming sense of entitlement, and expects a degree and career to be handed to you.

On a silver platter.

At the expense of others.

So my advice, should you choose to accept it: Grow up and take responsibility for yourself and your actions.

Be very careful!!!

Run from them. I cancelled after enrolling for just one week and i returned everything they sent me for the first lesson over 7yrs ago.

They then turned around to report it on my credit report that i am owing them over $1000 .

They report it on my credit report every 6month as something new.

They are destiny destroyers and not destiny builders.

Please don't sign up or enroll in any course with US career institute!!!

Customer service is poor, they are only out to swindle people out of their monies.

You will regret doing business with them. Run Now!
