Uniway of Macon
Give Uniway a Chance!
I have been a member of Uniway for 6 years now and in the beginning I was a little confused at their process. I actually did my research and found that you can save money.
Like they say in the beginning you will not save on everything. So I researched and learned what to use their service for and what not to. Their furniture is a Great Savings!! There mattresses is a Great Savings!!
We got a mattress set (starts with Tempur) and saved $3,426.07 on it alone. I am not sure how much it is now but it was worth the $1,999.00 my wife and I spent. Their store lets us buy nicer items we though we couldn't afford but actually can. You will not save on everything (No Matter what is said) but if you research and then purchase it is very rewarding.I had to write something on here because they are not the Scam that some of these people say.Just do your research on Sears or any Company and you will always find someone is not happy with them.
Welcome to life folks...
can't please everyone all the time.
RIP OFF AND SCAM ARTISTS!!!
CUSTOMERS BEWARE!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I received a mailing saying I could win a free car or a free vacation/jewelry as a consolation prize. I was looking to buy a car at the time and decided to try my luck. Their mailing did not mention anything about what they did or the sales pitch that I'll get when I go there. I thought I would go there, try my key to see if I won, and be out of there in a few minutes. I was totally wrong!!
I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and was told to wait in their waiting room until my appointment time. I thought OK, I guess I'll do that. While I was waiting, there was a brochure laying on the table and I starting reading it. That's when I found out what they did. I immediately wanted to get up and walk out, but I really needed a car so I decided to tough it out.
The salesman came in and started to give his sales pitch. I noticed his face was stone cold and emotionless. He was cold, manipulative, and he was out to get my money. In order to be a member, they required that you give them almost $2000 up front. That was a lot of money, so I asked if I could think about it for a few days before deciding. He rudely said NO. Sooo, he wanted me to give $2000 to a company that I knew nothing about.....right that instant?!? Bulls***!!
After hearing that, I knew I wasn't going to be a member. I probably should've walked out, but I decided to play around with him a little bit. While he was giving the tour, I would ask all kinds of dumb and insinuating questions about the products they had and about their scamming company. One of the questions I asked was whether there was anything wrong with the products that he said were high quality and brand new. He didn't like that too much and didn't answer it. A family was with me during the tour and I wanted to make sure they didn't get scammed.
The tour took almost 2 hours and I was lead into a "holding" room. The salesman walked in and he went off on me. He was a lot older than me, so he was talking down to me thinking he was superior. Great way to treat your potential customer! The whole time I smiled and quietly let him vent. After he was done, I went off on him saying this company was a joke and a scam and he was no different than a greedy used car salesman. I told him to *** off and I walked out and drove away. I didn't even try to win the car or get the consolation prizes.
DON'T FALL FOR THEIR MARKETING TRICKS!! If you receive a mailing from them, throw it away. Google "uniway rip off" and you'll find tons of complaints from people who have been scammed and ripped off. Their website even looks fishy and made up. If you have been ripped off, complain as much as possible. Hopefully it would shut them down and stop them from scamming more people.
UNIWAY.... GO *** OFF!!!!!
UNIWAY OF MACON SCAM
It all started when I got a call, telling me I had been selected to win something, I don't remember entering my mind thought, but I bit anyways. So the lady explains she will be sending me a key, the she has a few "survey" question, some of which asked about my household income, 1st RED FLAG!! Next, they want my husbands' info and they will not allow us to visit without one another, 2nd RED FLAG!!! So once we got there, as soon as the guy walk in to greet us, I knew I should have stayed home. He was far worse than a car salesman (pushy, arrogant, egotictical, and dymatic), or any salesman for that matter. Mind you, I was told that they just wanted mt to come in and try my key, and I would receive a contalation prize just for visiting. SO they guy talks, and talks, and talks without allowing us to get a word in edge wise, I promise he talked they entire time (2hours). At the end wanted my hour and a half back. I am a certified CPA; however I did not outright disclose this information. Once the guy started into his hyper driver sales rant, he was shocked how I kept correcting his miscalculated metrics (RED FLAG). He went on and on for about 2 hours, but never wanted to disclose a price (RED FLAG), instead we were walked around a showroom and hand feed a bunch of chicken **** and told it was caviar. In fact, the rules such has what THEY consider gift and not gift and how you can not come with anyone, are all rediulous. If I spend my money how and you deligate what I do with my purchase? THAT'S CHICKEN ****. Also we were told that in was an invatation only process, they because they have deveolped a process of promissing you something to gain your interest and lying to you through the entire process! THE bastards!! I really feel sorry for all the people they sucker!! Toward the end he told us it would be around $3000(OMG) for our membership, and he would give us time to think. As soon as he closed the door, without saying a word myself and my husband signed that we were not interested, as we were told we could not think about it and must make a decision today (RED FLAG). Once the pushy little *** returned, he had the nerve to try and become overly arrogant about our decision to decline, but still running his mouth a mile a minute, but not really saying anything. At this point my frustration level was through the roof, as I felt as if he was trying to be demeaning. If you are *** enough to give these crooks your money you absolutely deserve what you get! You would have to spend at least $5000 on top of your original $3000 to see the benefit of your investment, and let's be honest, even their prices will rise in these harsh economical times. Anytime someone wants you to agree to pay that amount of money, but doesn't want you to have time to think about it, RUN FAST!!!!! He was offended when I told him I was not going to finance a measly $3000, and I actually had to go into prayer to refrain from cursing him out. Once he handed my husband the "Austrian tennis braclet", that I was promises, which really means fake, I gave it directly back to him as it would not even be suitable for my dog! We were the last people to leave the building, and all the other employees had gone home (it was around 9 when we left), and the only other car in the parking lot was a rusted out beat up van, but he told his he had top of the line cars through Uniway (yeah right!). If this was his idea of top of the line, I am confident in my decision. Don't be scammed! Your saving will never ever exceed you spending with this company!! I want to shout it from the rooftop!! This was the worse experience ever, and I am so pissed I could hardly think straight.

Stay AWAY from Uniway of Macon
We were invited to Uniway to try our key to win a grand prize and were guaranteed two prizes (We won a cheap tennis bracelet in a shiny box and a "free" trip for two that we have to pay money before we even see the voucher). We were told it would take 30 min to an hour for the tour, and it lasted 2 hours.
The salesman, John, was good at his job, but he was the epitome of a sleazy salesman. He talked us into it and before we knew it, we were $2600 in the hole for a membership fee and nothing to show for it. If you're thinking of buying into this and have cash and are building/furnishing an entire home, by all means it is for you. If not, hit the sales and don't listen to the garbage coming out of their mouths.
We cancelled within 3 days (per our contract) and received 2 calls from the owner and our salesman trying to save the sale. If you buy into it and don't want it, you will be talked down to and disrespected.
Sorry I didn't want to blow $2600 on junk. Please head my warning and stay away unless as I stated you are a contractor or building/furnishing a home.
Lied to get a large sum of money.
Uniway of Macon is a scam. They lied to us from the beginning to the end. We were told that we could pretty much get anything in the beginning.
In the end, after attempting to purchase a television, a computer and other things, we were offered a rebuilt computer. The television that we wanted, they could not get it for us.
Someone PLEASE find out what can be done to bring this company down and get people back their money that has been spent on nothing. In the end, we will also be paying out over $3000 on financing. This is wrong and unfair.
We really and truly believe that if all the dissatisfied members of Uniway, all come together, something can be done to stop this fraud. What do you think?

Awesome review! I received a mailing from them years ago and was smart enough not to fall for their tricks.
I threw it away.
They called me several times afterwards inviting me to visit their facility and I kept telling them No. Obviously, they can't take No for an answer.
