University Of California San Diego Reviews
Fraudulent and Misleading Marketing at UCSD
- - UCSD Master of Advanced Studies director misled and recruited unqualified students; 17 students and alumni complained to the chancellor; refund denied.
UCSD Faculty Director of a 'Master of Advanved Studies' program misled and recruited unqualified students into their program solely to increase student enrollment. Staff of the program confirmed that the Faculty Director lied to these students and knew that they would not be able to pass what turned out to be heavy math and science classes (but the classes are marketed as being suitable for students without any math or science prerequisities).
17 students and alumni of the program (95% of total students to date) complained to the chancellor. Several students dropped out of program and university will not provide an exception to their refund policy.
