Universal Resorts “package”

Hello, I am writing to file a grievance that I have with the Universal Studios resort package. Due to an IT error on Universal Studios side I was distributed childrens tickets for three adults.

We specifically booked a universal hotel so we could get in an hour early to the parks. We waited in line 30 to 40 minutes when we got to the Check-in we were told we had childrens tickets. We had to leave the line go to customer service wait in another line to be told that there was an IT error and we were redistributed adult tickets back in the line for another 40 minutes so we missed out on the early admission to the park. The reason why I booked a Universal Studios premier hotel was for early admission Even parking was $21 apiece for three cars times two days.

So typically I would not stay at a hotel that charges that much for parking especially since myself and two other adults came from different areas of Florida.

I called customer service and they were aware that there was an IT error but they couldnt help us with any compensation except take away our three day pass and charge the price for a one-day pass. I feel thats unacceptable. It doesnt seem like a strong business model. To make matters worse I was told that it takes 3-4 weeks to refund my credit card for the 80 something dollars?

A large corporation like Universal Studios should be able to refund a credit card without difficulty without taking 30 days.

I know you are a large corporation and the experience that one family has isnt that important., But I feel I shouldve been treated better for an error on Universal Studios part. I am a Florida resident I was with three other adults we all bring visitors to Orlando and having this bad experience doesnt sit well with our family.

BRING BACK THE DINING PLANS NOW!!!!!

Universal Orlando has, stupidly, discontinued all dining plans as of 2021, possibly due to that stupid pandemic that shouldve NEVER happened to begin with! Whoever decided to discontinue dining plans needs to be fired now!

As you may know, Universals friendly neighbors at Disney World have reinstated their dining plans (thankfully), but Universal has made a stupid effort on NEVER bringing them back, period! This is a very egregious corporate mistake, and like I said, whoever decided this needs to lose their JOB immediately!

Ive DMd a Universal Team Member on X (formerly Twitter), and all I got was that they had absolutely NO plans to bring back those dining plans at this time. I dont know what is wrong with them, but they need to know that the pandemic is over, and it is time to go back to normal!

To OP: I apologize if you’re seeing all these nasty comments made by these horrible users. Just ignore them. I do support your review, and I’m pretty sure Universal will come up of something even better than the original dining plans.

They aren’t bringing them back because the profit did not warrant the expense. They have financial results from 2022 and so far this year to justify the decision.

fledge out complaint regarding my visit and when I left that I was never hacked before till I went to one park we narrowed it down too now wife doesnt wish to presume getting to bottom of things like I did, needless to say the hacker still hitting a brick wall trying to charge my old card , and she doesnt want to bother any one about it because she is still uncertain of a lot gotta love tax season! So as of now we will not move forward trying to find out more details the credit card company can not provide !

IBCCES ACCESIBILITY CARD PROCESS NOT VERY CLEAR

AS SOON AS I LEARNED ABOUT THE NEW IBCCES PROCESS I WENT AHEAD AND STARTED THE PROCESS. I HAD TO GET A LETTER FROM MY DOCTOR CERTIFYING MY CONDITIONS.

WHEN I GOT THE LETTER I WENT AHEAD AND COMPLETED THE APPLICATION.

I WAS NOTIFIED BY EMAIL ON 9/13/2023 THAT IBCCES APPROVED MY APPLICATION. AFTER APPROVAL I DECIDED TO BUY AN ANNUAL PASS AGAIN THINKING I WILL BE ABLE TO USE THE ACCESIBILITY BENEFIT AS I FOLLOWED ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS AND GOT APPROVAL. I DID GO AHEAD AND GO TO THE PARK AND GOT THE CARD FROM THE FIRST CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. THEN I KEPT WAITING FOR THE UNIVERSAL STAFF TO CALL ME REGARDING THE ACCESIBILITY CARD.

SINCE I BOUGHT HHN TICKETS I TRIED TO ATTEND BUT THE LAST TIME THE COSTUMER SERVICE REP TOLD THAT THE SELECTION I MARKED WASN'T ENOUGH FOR HIM TO GRANT ME THE CARD AND THAT THE IBCCES PROCESS IS TOO NEW AND IT KEEPS CHANGING THEN HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO GIVE ME 'A CHANCE' TO GET THE CARD THAT DAY BUT I HAD TO GO IN AND MODIFY THE APPLICATION AND START THE PROCESS AGAIN. MY ISSUE IS IF AN OPTION IS NOT 'VALID' WHY IS IT AVAILABLE IN THE APP? IT SHOULD STOP USERS FROM CONTINUING IF THEY SELECTED AN INVALID OPTION. WHY MAKE ME GO TO MY DOCTOR AND PAY FOR A DOCUMENT THAT LATER WILL BE DENIED DEPENDING ON WHICH COSTUMER SERVICE REP I TALK TO?

THERE WERE MULTIPLE OPTIONS FOR ME TO SELECT BUT I SELECTED ONE TRYING TO BE RESPECTFUL TO OTHER USERS THAT ARE ON WHEELCHAIR, ETC. I DON'T NEED ALTERNATIVE STAIRS OR ELEVATOR.

IF THE CRITERIA OF THE COMPANY EVALUATING THE MEDICAL DOCUMENTS THAT ARE NOW REQUIRED IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS WHY MAKE US SPEND MONEY TO GO TO OUR DOCTOR AND REQUEST THAT DOCUMENT. WHY USE THE IBCCES SERVICES? THIS IS VERY RANDOM AND SEEMS TO VARY FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT.

THE AGENT (VICTOR) KEPT WRITTING AND WRITTING AND HE SAID HE WILL FLAG MY REQUEST.

I ASKED WHY HE WAS WRITTING SO MUCH AND HE SAID HE WAS DOING A REPORT. HE MADE ME FEEL LIKE I DID SOMETHING REALLY BAD. THIS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME ON THE SO MANY YEARS I WAS A PASSHOLDER AND I DID HAVE THE ACCESIBILITY CARD IN THE PAST. HE ALSO TOLD ME TO BE PATIENT BECAUSE THERE WERE TOO MANY APPLICATIONS AND NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE TO CALL APPLICANTS.

OTHER THAN THE PROCESS IS TOO NEW AND THEY WERE ALL STILL LEARNING.

WHY HE MADE ME FEEL GUILTY FOR SOMETHING THAT'S OUT OF MY HANDS. IF THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH A NEW APPLICATION WHY IS THAT THE GUEST FAULT???

Disappointed in customer service

Years ago I used to be able to get a disability fast pass to avoid having to wait in the extremely long lines. I was just at islands of adventure and was told that the rules had changed and that in order to obtain a disability fast pass I had to have ADD or ADHD.

I have a physical disability and I can not stand in long lines for too long. The only accommodation they were willing to provide was a wheelchair and that was not right. I dont know when or if Ill ever go back.

Not only that but also some of the works there were also nasty with me when I tried to ask just the simplest questions. Do better!

I’m sure the “simplest” questions were argumentative and passive/aggressive about the new policy. If they provide a wheelchair, your disability is being accommodated. That’s the end of the issue.

Animal show

Disappointed to see that they have an animal show. Animals are not meant to do tricks or entertain humans. They need to live in their natural environment. This is abuse since it is not natural for them. How would humans like to be put in a 20x10 room for life and have to do tricks for food??? Shows with animals need to stop and let the animals live the life they were meant to live in their natural environment.

Serious complain on food menu

Ordered a chicken salad at one of the restaurant. It was served with nuts. It DID NOT show nuts on menu. My family member HIGHLY allergic. Almost ate it without seeing nuts. This could have been extremely serious. Had an epi pen with us. NOT GOOD RESTAURANT PRICEDURE. AT $144 a ticket. I think it would be to your advantage to fix this problem.

Worst place and will never go there again

My son was accused of trying to steal a T-shirt from the company store when he was looking for me to confirm he was allowed to use his credit card for the purchase. I am the father and am the one who purchased the 5 five-day tickets for Universal.

I want to make it very clear how incredibly angry and disappointed with the response and lack of customer service in this company.

My wife and I initially waited for my son just outside the doorway while my son was shopping. It started to rain and eh was taking a long time so my wife and went around the crner to sit at the chairs in front of Auntie Anne's Pretzels. He stuck his head out to ask me if he can charge a $27 T-Shirt on his credit card. He was not trying to steal the T-shirt.

I purchased 5 five-day tickets to Universal and this incident occurred on the first day. He was told a response would be provided within 24-48 hours after the incident.

It is now 1 month later before I hear any response. I would like to have this issue escalated for further discussion and I want to file a case for compensation.

At best your son is a fool raised by a fool.

At worst, he is in fact a thief. Hopefully, you're not having any more if this is the best you can do.

I have no problem except most people here in Michigan would love to see your park but the truth is most can't afford it, we don't have anything like universal studios here and I know the people of Michigan would love it, we have a lot of open land and surrounded by so many other states if you are at all interested it would be better to put it in the middle of the state, and if you take my idea it would be great, and maybe I can get something out of it for me and my husband we need a home in a safe place .

We went to Universal as out family vacations, we went to the harry potter ride with express and took us around 30 minutes when we arrived we wanted to ride in the first row because my daughters were very short and the couldn't see she just gave us 2 seats, the other assistant told us we can go she scream at us told us to go to the side treating us horrible her name is Angela in the harry potter ride she was very disrespectful screaming at us then the team leader came to speak to us and gave her the reason without even letting us talk, the security came and without even letring us talk or defend ourselves frightenibg us that they were gonna call the police they took us out of the park with all my family as if we were trash imaging how traumatizing it was for my family they even came to the car following us as if we were criminals we couldnt even go to customer relations! Horrible experience never in my life had this experience i dont recommend this to anyone they really have no manners and that its not the way of treating customers whos travel and plan this for a year to attend your parks! I am very very dissapointed at this company would not recommend this experience to anyone!

You are NOT entitled to a full refund. If you cannot afford to go to Universal Studios then DON'T.

I am glad they called the police. Now daughters know that if they cause a scene, there are consequences. I doubt that they asked you to leave and called security and the police for no reason.

You obviously displayed a lack of manners if security and the police had to be involved. You behave like criminals you get treated like criminals.
