Union workers credit
I received a letter stating that I was approved for a $10,000 platinum membership card and all I had to send in was a money order for $37 which will be refundable and all they sent me was a paper copy of a card. And not even a catelog and I still haven't received my refund of $37.
I tried to order something but it wouldn't let me because of the wrong account number they gave me and its bogus. I want my $37 back.
My fiance told me to call and I kept getting switched to different departments to handle the matter. Someone please help me with this issue.
United Workers Credit Services
I received a letter in the mail from United Workers Credit Services informing me that i have been identified and pre-approved for an exclusive Platinum Card Membership. To receive it i had to send the annual membership fee of $37 by check or money order along with the attached Platinum Card Activation Form by the deadline.
I thought it could be a great idea, but first i did some research. There were complaints form alot of people who'd received this letter saying that it was a scam.
It turns out, the "credit card" can only be used for the company's catalog items and you don't have to worry if your credit has been denied by MasterCard or Visa. That sounded an alarm in my mind, not alot of banks or credit providers will offer credit if your credit rating is poor.

I received this offer a few times in the mail before but thought it was too good to be true. I went on their website & it looked legit.
I had a funny feeling about this but didn't use my common sense to research this "united workers credit services racket" before mailing in the $37 membership fee. It shows that they cashed it on 02/17/2011 but I thought it was odd how they cashed the check before sending me the credit card. So, I finally researched this "mickey mouse" credit service & found all these complaints. They got me good, I sort of laughed at myself for being the butt of their joke.
This scam should be reported and investigated by our local & national news stations such as MSNBC. So, hopefully, if we cannot get any compensation, then we can at least help prevent this from happening to other unsuspecting consumers.

I received this letter today and I see a lot of you guys say it is a scam and they have not sent you your money. I had a similar incident and what I did is I threatened them with getting the police involved and also you should contact your bank again and educate them it was a scam and you did not get the services they stated you would receive.
I would be very detailed on when you called, who you talked to, what they said to make a better case against them! Good Luck :)I would also report it to the local Police so you can kind of give them a heads up of the new scam
