Faulty tires and policy that disadvantages customers
- - Tire failed after purchase and went flat at night.
- - A hole was found; they asked me to ship back the defective tire.
Please do NOT buy tires from this company if you value your time, money, and safety.
They sounded professional on the phone, and I specifically requested pricier, high-quality used tires with no patches and good tread. Unfortunately, one of the tires failed almost immediately and went completely flat late at night, leaving me stranded.
It was close to midnight, and I had to figure out how to get home, find a ride, and then rearrange my entire weekend to deal with the situation.
It was stressful, inconvenient, and completely avoidable.
The next day, a mechanic found a large hole in the tire, and I had to replace it with a brand-new one.
When I contacted the company, they told me to ship the defective tire back putting even more time and effort on me and showed no concern for the situation or the safety risk it caused. They simply pointed to their return policy, taking no responsibility for selling a faulty product that led to so much stress and safety risk.
Their claims about inspecting tires are clearly not true.
With a policy like theirs, they simply lose nothing by selling defective products and the clients interests are not protected in any way.
Do yourself a favor go somewhere reliable like Walmart or Costco for peace of mind and safety. This company wont care when things go wrong.

I called because I had placed an order on Monday and have not gotten a response. Originally, I was told that there was not an order placed under the phone number.
The call was disconnected and when I called the second time however, I was told that an invoice had been sent but the email was wrong. I was told that the tire would be delivered today.

United Tire is firmly insisting that I must return the defective tire to them first under the terms of their guarantee. That unreasonable condition appears nowhere on their advertised guarantee. I filed a complaint with the Chicago area Better Business Bureau with the same response about the tire needing to be returned, so it left me no-choice but to file a formal complaint with the Illinois Attorney General's Office - Consumer Complaints Bureau.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Their WARRANTY is WORTHLESS!
One of the tires received developed a leak in their patched area less than a week later, which cannot be fixed! THIS SELLER HAS PUT ME THRU *** Long story short, they do not have an acceptable replacement tire to send me and have offered an account credit only if I return the tire.
Problem is, when I had their tires installed, my old tires were scrapped and I have nothing to put on the car while I return their junk tire! SHOP ELSEWHERE!
