I've placed orders with United Salon Supplies since the original order and everything went well.

Update :I have placed a few orders with United Salon Supplies since the original order and overall, everything went well. The items were shipped quickly, (and sufficiently + safely packaged). Customers can send a msg and USS will respond within 1 - 2 days.

Their prices are comparable to other online beauty supply retailers and USS provides free shipping on orders over $50.

I am still confused by USS's affiliation with Glamor Beauty Center - and why they both deny being associated with each other? But who cares, I guess.

Longer Review :
I placed an order w a beauty supply website, United Salon Supplies for all of the "Pros" mentioned above.
They offer online chat, but it isn't manned, you may leave a message via online chat, and they will reply in a couple of days via email.
Waiting for a reply isn't optimal for me w any business. So, I contacted them via info@***.com.

Again, waiting for a reply isn't ideal.
This was about shipping and I wanted to reach them immediately - I googled United Salon Supplies' phone number/contact information, and it came up as :
1958 S La Cienega, Los Angeles | phone number : (323) 655-****.
When I phoned, the woman said they are called Glamour Beauty Center and while they are a beauty supply shop (located on La Cienega), they aren't affiliated w United Salon Supplies at all?! She added that they receive a lot of wrong calls (for United), and said Glamour Beauty is definitely not associated w United Salon Supplies ...?!
Weird.
As far as customer service - it was good (once they get back to you via email). I asked about a shipping change (any carrier is better than USPS).
They made the shipping switch for my order and customer support was helpful. But I asked about the Glamour Beauty-thing and the address and phone number mystery and the reply noted that they do not have phone support (and they are not on La Cienega) and sorry about the confusion.
Order received.

Well packaged. Well padded. Sturdy Box. Super-swift ship w UPS.
I had to initiate a return request for some of the items.

I went through the same as above (leaving msg via online chat, waiting, reaching out to info@***s, waiting...)
They DO accept returns, btw. I paid for return shipping, though.
The reply told me to return-ship the items to :
1958 S La Cienega, Los Angeles
hmmmmm...
So, Glamour Beauty is NOT associated w United? But they ARE. The phone number (323) 655-**** and La Cienega address are not United's...?

But they ARE. I mean...
Every online retailer (w very few exceptions) drop-ships. No big deal. If United Salon Supplies are having their orders fulfilled by Glamour Beauty, who cares!!
Why the mystery?

Why the denials on both ends re United being affiliated w Glamour Beauty?
If United doesn't want customers phoning (and they do not want to offer phone support), I guess that would be a reason for them to deny that it was their phone number (even though it's listed online).

And if they don't want customers showing up at the beauty supply store on La Cienega...
Any way you slice it, it's weird.
This mystery is making an otherwise reputable business seem sketchy.
Real-time online chat or phone support is necessary, IMO. Providing online chat is great but if it is only there for customers to leave a msg and wait for an email reply...why bother?
