Verified ReviewerThey trick people into taking out loans, for nothing, they don't sell you anything
- - AMS, Timeshare Cancellation Management, and United Consumer are the same company.
- - A rep promised cancellation anytime and no charges, but charges continued.
Avoid them; once they have your money or account info, they never respond, answer emails, or the phone. They have a link to submit a dispute, but it sends you to a collections page, with nowhere to enter any issues or complaints.
Their representative tricked us in to signing a contract with promises of retrieving funds from another company that would be more than the cost of the loan.
Then they promised two things; 1. that they could cancel the contract any time, even weeks or months later. That was the first of many lies. Next they told us we would never be charged anything, that the loan was a kind of holding agreement, that when we got paid, they would get paid and we would never be charged anything.
Then they sell the loan and refuse to tell you what's happening for several weeks so that you miss the deadline to cancel it.
Even though we canceled it immediately, they kept saying the contract was in motion, was not available could not be stopped because of the sale of the loan. Then after that they kept lying to us saying things like they did cancel the contract, and we don't know why we are charging us, the cancellation is on my desk, and I've seen it, I can see your canceled in the system, and you should get something mailed or emailed to you any day.
Or, somehow corporate lost your cancellation, corp is processing the cancellation, corporate wants you to wait because something great is happening (nothing happened). And they drag you along for weeks then months, and they do nothing, deliver nothing but keep charging you even though they promised they would not, then promised they did cancel, but they never actually do it.
- Are con artists and scammers they offer nothing
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Avoid them, nothing they are selling is true, its all a scam
United Consumer aCH
- - Money was deducted from my checking account via ACH.
- - I plan to report to the FTC and California AG; I can't contact the company.
They deducted money from my checking account and I am fed up with these scam artist getting your information and they just putting through an ach and scaming you money
things are bad with the ecomony and these people are ripping off people alll of the time and you cant get a hold of them to get your mohney back. I am reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney Generals of the Federal Government and the State of California. They should be driven out of business as they have no morals or ethics they are big fat frauds
UNITED CONSUMER LOANS WON'T LET ME PAY
- - Cannot pay off a $400 loan for one month; extra month's interest was deducted on June 1.
- - No contact details are available; I may pursue action.
Consumer Loans is not giving me an opportunity to pay off a $400.00 loan that I wanted for only one month. They automatically deducted another months interest on the first of June.
Now I don't have an account number, Email Addres, physical address or phone number to contact them. This is really the worst of the payday loan people. They make the loan easily enough then make it nearly impossible to pay it off. This is fraud perpetuated against those who can least afford it.
My problem is temporary and I do have the means to take this as far as I can. Darryl Steiner, Fort Myers Florida

United Consumers Credit Union has nothing to do with timeshares. They are a cooperative financial institution that does traditional banking services. This review seems to be addressing a different company.
It may not be true, but AMS Management claims to own United Consumer. United does the loans (for them and other companies) and AMS sells the bogus timeshare cancellations. But since AMS lies about a great many things it would not surprise me if they were lying about owning United Consumer.
