Disappointing maid agency i ever came across....

This agency really suck... 1st application, maid medication fail due to "don't know as per the agency". 2nd application, ran away in Yangoon airport. 3rd application told us already submit but 2weeks later I call and told me not yet submit coz lost my docs. Now, been 3 month and yet I still pending for a maid. No call from them, no news from them and no reply from them even they told you the person in charge will return your call today. Btw, all 3 application above we have to chase and chase then they will tell you the status instead of they keep you inform. This is really disappointing

Bad service from United Channel maid agency

We get a maid from United Channel on 11 Jan 2014. After several days, we realized we got a lot of bug bites, and we found bed bugs on the maid's suitcase. Further communication with the maid confirmed that the maid's hostel has been infested by bed bugs (same as the one found on her suit case) and she was also biten by those in the hostel. I am pregnant and the bed bug bites are so itchy and irritating that it is not tolerable. In order to control them, we have tried to spray different pestcides. However, pestcides are not very effective against them and it is harmful to human being too. We are hiring a maid to help us, but now the bed bugs brought by her is causing serious trouble to us! We are very upset, because first of all, the maid agency is not doing proper pest control of the maid's hostel.2ndly, the maid agency had not informed us of the situation of bed bug infestation of the maid's hostel and the subsequent risk of our house been infested. Subsequently, we complained this problem to the maid agency, but the maid agency never apologized. The maid agency staff lied that they do proper pest control of the maid’s hostel. Their email reply is: “With reference to the above and our telephone conversation yesterday, we have no issue or bed bucks and ticks or cases occur prior to this, we had routine and regular pest control activities, according to our boarding house stuff. We regretted this isolated incident happened. It might be due to other possible spread by of family members or guest who happen to be a carrier.” Their email reply is ridiculous. Our house is newly furnished, and our house seldom has visitors, and our visitors are hygienic white-collar people. I feel very angry about such irresponsible reply from the maid agency. Hence I would like to remind people to be more cautious when dealing with this maid agency “United Channel”. They have branches at Bukit Timah Shopping Center, Katong Shopping Center and Hougang green Shopping Mall.

We also had the same issue! The maid we got from United Channel also brought the bed bugs from the hostel.

We only came to realize it when my mum had several bites on her legs and arms.

When we check the new $2000 bed we had recently bought, we found a number of bed bugs and we traced them to the maid's luggage. When we questioned her, she said that the hostel had a lot of bed bugs, and she had bites all over.

We also had several issues with their bad attitude when we questioned them why their maids were not trained.

They liked to attribute all the problems to the employer rather than the inadequate training and service. So, prospective employers do beware as you may have to part with thousands of dollars on their so called free replacement of maids.!!!!
