United cargo management inc unethical operations

Description of Complaint: About a month ago I purchased merchandise overseas from a company named Website: Zhejiang Dert Import And Export Co., Ltd During The process I was told by Dert the follwing below: Dear Jennifer, If you agree with what i have explian to you in last mail. The balance you have to pay is USD1067.5+USD200=1267.5, the USD200 is for the Sea charge, of course you also can find a agent from your city, they will contact us from them China office, and you can pay this Sea charge by yourself when the goods arrive your port. If you use your own agent in your country, the balance you should send is only USD1067.50, you can send by paypal, the commission we will not ask from you again,we only hope make this business easy and send you the goods for what you need. Please kindly considerate all the matter, and we hope to do long business with you. Lookign forward to receiving from you. I agreed to these terms and found a very great customs clearing company who has been nothing but helpful through out my ordeal uscustomclearing i would always refer and suggest them. despite the fact this situation had nothing to do with them they were very helpful 305831**** they are nation wide also...... over a month later........ this is what happend Recently UCM INC sent me a bill for over 300.00 dollars, which is the first contact the company ever made with me. I did not elect there services nor did they ever contact me during the entire process and inform me they were handling the shipment. i also recieved from the company a bill of laiding stating prepaid frieght on it with no price indicated. I explained to UCM INC the agreement that was made requested the detail pricing information on what the 200.00 that i paid was used for since the Bill Of Lading i got was blank.(also sent attached letter above to them as well) they refused to provide me with the information and said they will get back to me. few days later i received another bill.. requesting me to pay about 250 with changes it was discounted by roughly 50.00 dollars but was revised to reflect new charge of examing my shipment which was not in the original bill that was sent to me. so now UCM INC has my shipment which i paid over 2000.00 for in there warehouse and is refusing to release it with out payment. also if i do not pay with in 5 days they begin to start charging storage fees. i tried to resolve by contacting them but they refuse to provide information. the bill of lading doesnt show amount that was prepaid, they send me invoice for a bill, never contacted me prior, nor did i request there services. they are holding my package hostage till i pay them and will add storage fees to the cost if i dont pay within 5 days. SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING OUT OF THE GODFATHER basically they put in a positon is either i pay them or do not get my products. this company has no sense of customer service and is runned as if it it was owned by mobsters. they never notified me to tell me that they were the ones handling shipping nor did they advise me that i will be charged upon arrival of my packages. they just sent me a bill and told me i had 5 days...... there excuse was that there are local charges.... my dispute is you need to notify people of this not just send a bill and saying pay up. i never elected there services why am i getting a bill. also what if i didnt have the money to pay them... i f i was going to be charged addtional fees it is there responsibility to inform customers that they are shipping to that they will recieving another bill. the other company elected there service and putting the burden on me to pay them, when to my knowledge this was all paid for upfront. i believe this is done deliberatelty and is a way to force more money out of people by putting you in a no choice situation. so my choice is pay them or lose over 2000.00 dollars worth of products. I want everyone to know what kind of company UCM INC is. very unethical way of doing business. below is a list of all there locations19401 S.
