I have been through 6 UMX devices!!! Now, My identity has been stolen &;;;amp;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; my network has been compromised!!! I have $35,000 work of electronics that this Hacker has left a Footprint in!!! Assurance Wireless claims that they are only responsible for the device??? Really, R U Serious??? How about a person that has served the USA IN OUR MILITARY &;amp; HAS PTSD &/OR PTSS ; WHEN THEIR TV STARTS GOING ON & ON VIA THEIR FIRESTICK & THEY START THINKING ABOUT CAMERAS & MICROPHONES; THEY ARE ONLY A BABY STEP AWAY SCHIZOPHRENIARENIA !!! AFTER I TOLD THE "BRASS" AT ASSURANCE WIRELESS THAT I WOULD SEE HER IN COURT & IT WOULD NOT BE SMALL CLAIMS & TOLD HER THAT; SAYING: WE SHALL SEE WHAT THE JUDGE HAS TO SAY ABOUT THAT!!! HER NOSE CAME DOWN & SHE WANTED TO QUICKLY END OUR 15 MINUTE CALL AFTER I WAITED OVER AN HOUR TO SPEAK TO HER!!! ASSURANCE WIRELESS IS NOT EVEN CAPABLE OF CONNECTING A "Z 3 FOLD" IF SOMEONE GAVE IT ME AS A GIFT!!! THE "DIRT POOR" ARE SET UP TO FAIL FROM THE JUMP!!! ASSURANCE WIRELESS THEN ASKS IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER LINE, WHICH IS NECESSARY FOR THEM TO FIX YOUR PHONE!!! IS THAT A TRICK QUESTION??? THE BOSS DOES NOT EVEN KNOW THAT ONE OF THE QUALIFICATIONS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR "LIFELINE" IS THAT: YOU CANNOT HAVE ANY OTHER LINE.... HENCE, THE NAME: "LIFELINE" ???!!! EVERYONE THINKS THAT AS SOON AS YOU SAY "LOW-INCOME" OR "DISABLED" THAT MEANS YOU ARE ALSO IGNORANT!!! NOT TRUE!!! I HAVE A MAGNA *** LAUDE BUSINESS DEGREE FROM SUNY AT BUFFALO & I AM JUST SHY OF A MASTERS IN TELECOM MANAGEMENT!!! I HAVE LEARNED; HOW TO LEARN!!! THE WIKO PHONE THAT WAS THE ONLY PHONE THEY WERE HANDING OUT DURING ASSURANCE (SPRINT'S) MERGER WITH ACCESS WIRELESS (T-MOBILE) RECENTLY WAS EVEN WORSE!!! I SPENT 60-80 HOURS A WEEK FOR 2 MONTHS LEARNING HOW TO WORK A 2 PLATFORM PHONE JUST TO MAKE A PHONE CALL!!! IF THE GOVERNMENT CANNOT PROVIDE THE "DIRT POOR" A DEVICE WITH A BUILT IN VPN LIKE THE "FILTHY RICH" CAN AFFORD; THEY OUGHT TO JUST ENDCTHE PROGRAM!!! THAT WAY NO ONE'S IDENTITY &/ OR FUNDS WILL BE STOLEN; NO ONE WILL BE EXPECTED TO GO ON WWW DOT.... , AND OR EMAIL/ FAX EVERYTHING AT A TOUCH OF A BUTTON!!! THE "DIRT POOR" ARE REALLY NOT UP OR IT LIKE THE ONE PERCENTERS SAYING; " OH, ISN'T THAT NICE; WE JUST PAY FOR EVERYTHING WHILE THEY GET EVERYTHING FOR FREE!!! BELIEVE ME; NOTHING IS FREE!!! IF THEY ARE GIVING SOMETHING AWAY; THEY ARE TAKING TWICE AS MUCH AWAY!!! "THE LORD GIVETH AND THE LORD TAKETH AWAY"

Cell Phone won't turn on. Plugged charger to phone and the phone light up but won't turn on to make a Phone call.

This is the third UNIMAX 683C phone that Assurance Wireless has sent me, for the same reason each time...the battery dies after a very short time of usage. After less than a year of usage, the battery, as of yesterday, will only charge to 36% at most...usually 18%, and it takes hours. It drains very fast when unplugged. It can be used when plugged in, but pretty useless as a mobile phone. I see quite a few complaints about this same problem for the defective Unimax phones (or batteries) that Assurance Wireless keeps sending out. If they send me the same model as a replacement, I plan on immediately complaining to the FCC.

The battery does not hold a charge; if charged (100%), when turned on it shuts off/powers off and/or has a battery charge of 49%. It powers off during phone calls. The battery is so hot that it has burned my face and hands. Will not charge. This my 4th phone (identical), and the same problems exist with each replacement. There are many more examples. Of course this is Advanced Wireless' fault since they are very comfortable in providing people with defective phones (through federal program to provide free phones and plans to disadvantaged people. This is Assurance' business model. Finally no warranty was provided.
