I wasn't attended in the emergency room, I left there and went to the Unc hospital to dispute this undue bill

name is Golda Nely Guimarães Pimenta, and I am writing to formally dispute a $475

physician charge related to my Emergency Room visit on September 12, 2025.

On that date, I went to the ER only to ask a question regarding a scheduled appointment I had

for 9:00 a.m. I was not evaluated by a physician, I did not receive medical treatment, no

examination was performed, and no services were rendered.

I was simply instructed to leave.

Additionally, I have official documentation confirming that I am approved for 100% UNC

Financial Assistance coverage. I also paid the required $35 emergency fee at the time of visit.

Since no physician services were provided, I respectfully request:

1. A full review of this charge

2. An itemized bill with CPT codes and documentation of any services allegedly rendered

3.

Immediate placement of this account on hold during the investigation

4. Removal of this $475 charge if no medical evaluation was performed

Please provide written confirmation once this matter has been reviewed.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

Sincerely,

Golda Nely Guimarães Pimenta

Have you report it to any support team?

None of your attached pics show any September 12 visit. And why would you pay $35 for asking a question?

Their website has a $200 to $1000 fee if you registered in any way. What exactly was the question?

I have the same issue and have worked for hours trying to fix.Only AI help and no real customer service.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

UNC Health engages in deceptive business practices, does not make their costs known upfront for elective, low-priority procedures and tests, and then tries to stick you with the bill afterwards.

CHOOSE ANY OTHER PROVIDER!!!

Preferred solution: Price reduction

User's recommendation: Avoid at all costs.
