My kitten was very sick so I talked to my breeder and she had her pet sitter come over and look at my pet kitten I just adopted a week ago. The kitten started getting a bit of a cold 2 days prior and wasnt getting any better. So we all agreed ( the breeder, sitter and myself) To take the kitten in to the vet and have her treated. So my daughter and I loaded her up in a pet carrier and took her to this place called emergency pet clinic. After we checked in by phone and had to sit outside or in the car for over 2 hours before the vet even took our kitten in for a diagnosis. So another 3 hours goes by and they finally bring out a estimate for $1600.00! The vet assistant starts explaining a list of 25 different charges from $10 to $310.00 stating they have to do all these different treats tests and/or treatments to the kitten to figure out what is wrong with her. Thankfully for the breeder she was able to answer and ask about some of these proceduresSo the laundry list of charges gets down to $500, $800, $1000. We then decide to procede with the $500 estimate just for the tech to tell us to wait until 12 a.m just before the clinic closes. So after waiting another 45 minutes. The Vet Dr. comes out to tell us a that we can either have the kitten euthanized, and her over to a shelter or pay for her to stay in the hospital after she just got done telling us that our kitten wasnt going to make it. The vet refused to let me take my kitten home that I paid $2000.00 to adopt but I could pay them to see if she was going to make it??? So I had to euthanize the kitten and pay another $176 on to off the $530 . I feel that the Vet Dr. already knew the kitten was going to pass away and still charged and charged. The situation was bad enough without them forcing me to pay another $800.00 !

User's recommendation: If at all possible try to take your pet to the vet that you already know. I feel like me and my family were taken full advantage of in a already bad situation.
