Won't give me Covid shot or help with doctors because I wear a face shield due to calustrophobia.

I have been refused a Covid-19 shot because I I cannot wear a face mask. I am diagnosed claustrophobic and highly allergic to the lint in a face mask, as well. I do wear a full shield whenever I do go out which isn't often. It would be beneficial that someone like me get the Covid shot I'm over 65 with other health concerns, but they don't care. Also, I cannot get a podiatrist to see me. I need new orthotics as the old ones are ready to be redone and I am in so much pain I can barely walk. I understand that they are as afraid of Covid as I am, but they are doctors and their oath says Do No Harm. They are Harming me. My feet will need so much work including painful shots if I have to wait much longer to address the problems. There may not be any coming back from this as the damage may be too great. I pay a small portion for my insurance as it is through my husband, but I am getting no benefits and wondering why I am paying for something I am not getting. Rite Aid has generously offered to help me and I am getting the shot there. I guess they aren't as prejudiced against disabled people as Motion Picture/UCLA Health is.

User's recommendation: fight them with everything you can. They don't care about you if your problems are hard to handle. The doctors will not fight for you. You have to fight it alone.

When Motion Picture industry healthcare aligned with UCLA they made a big mistake.

I have been fighting with UCLA Healthcare this time over an MRI. I had seen my Primary care doctor who is a rheumatolgist because of knee problem,. She did an xray and said my knee was not tracking properly and it was causing pain. We tried PT and when that didn't work she suggested an MRI. That referral was expedited yesterday because when I went to stand at lunch I screamed in pain and couldn't get up. Got home and then I couldn't use bathroom because I couldn't get up from there. I ended up in the ER and they said get MRI ASAP. I can't get referral according to UCLA Healthcare until I go to the doctor. Yesterday they wanted me to go to Primary now they are insisting I go to ortho guy. Wouldn't it better for ortho guy to know what he's looking at instead of wasting my time to have to go there, get MRI and go back. That's three things, rather than 2. Not only are they wasting my time, I am taking up time that another patient could have. I have decided that I am done. I will let this knee go and then when they have to fix it, they will spend more money to do it. I don't care anymore. I just heard another person is having similar problems over her wrist with UCLA.

Dr. Gregory Keller: A Leader in his Field

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Hello, I am Dr. Keller's patient care coordinator, and the negative review is from a competitor engaged in slander. The statements are absurd and easily disproved by a quick fact check. Dr. Keller is Board Certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery. This is a board that is certifiably recognized by the California Medical Board. Dr. Keller is a Clinical Professor at the UCLA Division of Facial Plastic Surgery. You can check their website for his name at: http://headandnecksurgery.ucla.edu/body.cfm?id=62. Dr. Keller is a recognized international authority on facial plastic surgery and has numerous publications and three textbooks on this. He holds the original patents and invented the field of Endoscopic Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Keller is a Castle Connolly "Best Doctor" and Los Angeles "Best Doctor" (LA Magazine). Dr Keller has trained twenty two fellows, some of which are at Universities in the US and several who are Chiefs of major university divisions of facial plastic surgery. One of these performed the first "full" face transplant in the world. Dr. Keller quietly performs revision surgeries with problems from other physicians. Dr. Keller has many other accomplishments that make him unique among physicians. His problem rate with surgeries is among the lowest in the nation. He is recognized as a superb surgeon. He recognized that general plastic surgeons, who are not specialized (facial plastic surgery, occuloplastic surgery, dermatological surgery) often feel that they are the only surgeons in cosmetic surgery, but, in fact, many times have limited experience in certain areas.
