Purchases

On Sep.7 2019, I registered to QUIBIDS Auction just to browse or where they have buy it now.I ended it buying a pair of sunglasses. On Sep.10 2019,I tried to sign in wrong password so I got a new password and wrong email. So I went on FB to sign in. I just wanted to see when my sunglasses were coming. Then I just browsed and went to bed.At 12-1am On Sep11 2019, my phone was buzzing, about a with draw of $60.

I called my bank immediately it was from QUIBIDS auction, I called them immediately. Then I was emailing them. I did send about 3-5 emails my eyes were really seeing double doing all this texting on a IPHONE at 2in the morning.QUIBIDS Auction Response was “we will look into your issue and you just have to send 1 email for this issue. This could take 10-30 days.”I never bid on anything or bought anything else except the sunglasses and I already paid for them. I would never pay $60. for prepaid bids, when I don’t get paid again until next week.

I never ever authorized this transaction at all. I realize $60. Isn’t a lot of money but I work extremely hard for mine and I wouldn’t buy any prepaid bids. The only stuff I would ever buy is buy it now.All is QUIBIDS Auction had to do is cancel this transaction immediately so my $60. would be back in my account. When you don’t get paid until next week it is a Huge Deal.QUIBIDS wasn’t sending no packages at all.

I never bought anything else but my sunglasses and I never bided on anything. I did end up receiving my Sunglasses on Sep.11 2019. Also QUIBIDS Auction put in their email “if you wanted to talk to someone about this issue call Mon.-Fri.9-5. Why in the he’ll would they even put that in there email. That is a total Lie no matter what number you call it’s either disconnected or not available.Even though it is killing my eyes Doing all these emails I just wanted my money back.

I did receive a confirmation #10685**** order #C010685****. It said some package deal $60. for $150.Bids.Maybe it’s a great deal for someone else not for me,when I don’t get paid until next week.

I wouldn’t even bid on anything just Buy Right Now, is what I do.On Sep.7 2019 after I registered and paid for my Sunglasses I also received a Id# 159****. Please Please Get This Transaction Canceled Maureen Field (fieldm76@***.com) or call even text 440-503-**** As Soon As Possible THANK YOU

Sold Me An Item They Never Had And Never Will-Complete SCAM

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I'll make this story fairly short, but please consider it a warning. I tried to purchase a computer from a site called Ubid.com. After them taking my money immediately after they accepted my order, they told me the item would ship in 3 or 4 days.

Fast forward over 2 weeks, and the item still showed a status of "At Supplier's Warehouse". The company said they'd contact the supplier and see were the item was. Turns out they never even had the item to sell and now they claim they can't reach the supplier.

I'll do whatever it takes to get my money back, but I want to share my experience with Ubid.com so you don't get defrauded the way they defrauded me. Better safe than sorry.

Order has not arrived

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Ordered an art book in mid June on Ubid. Have tried to call numerous times because the FedEx number (offered on their site) is not acceptable to FedEx and I can not get them on the phone.

Also, have sent 5 emails to their "Quick Response" email and have not heard from them. Here it is the end of July and still have not heard from ANYONE. I have ordered through them in the past and have gotten the materials purchased.

I guess the only thing left to do is to contact the credit card company and ask for a refund. It is a shame, I really wanted the book offered.

I was high bidder and paid quickly on several items.

Since that time, I have not received the items(Sun glasses, computer, 2 watches, etc.). It now shows cancelled on their page.

I have written emails to them and said the charges would come off my card but that has not happened. Also bought other items (2 sets of sheets, Some bowls, and 2 flash drives) that had shipping info but they have never arrived to me. I wrote notes to the shipper but nothing yet. I have begun a process with the better Business Bureau to get help in the matter.

UBID needs taken off line if they treat others the way they have done me and these others.

False advertisement

i placed a bid for a piece of jewelry for my boyfriend in hopes that it would be something nice. it was my first time using ubid so i was unsure of how everything worked but i didnt think i would be this upset with it for my first time!

after i placed the order they charged my credit card and send my confirmation saying thank you for your order. when i went to "my page" on the ubid website and clicked lot number it showed me a completely different picture of an item i do not want!! and THEN..when i clicked zoom on that picture it shows me a picture of the item i bid on. how confusing and *** is that??

i want to know what am i going to be receiving and if it isnt what i placed the bid on im going to be one angry person!

ive tried doing live chat, emails & even calling some number i found for them online but no luck at all. im beginning to thing that this isnt going to work out in my favor!

No Certificate of Authenticity with Laptop

Updated by user Jul 26, 2013

After posting my complaint on this and many other sites, UBID paid to have my laptop returned to them and rectified the problem. All is good now.

Original review Jun 20, 2013

Ubid states they are a certified Windows OS reseller for refurbished computers. I purchased a Dell Latitude E6400 Laptop PC - Intel Core2 Duo 2.26Ghz Windows 7 on 12/20/2011.

It failed to operate properly on 3/26/2013 and the software requested the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) 25 character key code. According to Windows, it is required to be either on a label attached to the laptop, in documentation shipped with the product or in an e-mail from the certified reseller. It was not. I contacted Ubid for the key code on 3/26/13, and 7 more times after.

They requested photos of the laptop labels, which I provided. They sent a key code but the laptop OS wouldn't accept it. I contacted them with this information on 4/12/13, then again on 5/13/13. Each time I followed their e-mail instructions and included necessary information in the e-mail subject line (I have copies of all correspondence and attachments available for your review).

They ignored both of these e-mails and did not reply.

This laptop is of no value to me without the Certificate of authenticity for the Windows Operating System. BUYER BEWARE!!

Ubid.com refuses to issue refund

On 08-25-11 I purchased a monitor from Ubid.com, after 2 weeks I received my merchandise, after opening the package, there was no power cord included.

On 09-09-11 I contacted ubid.com per telephone and advised the rep. that I need a RMA# and a mailing ticket for FED EX to send the merchandise back.

I was e-mailed all the information and the same day I send the merchandise back to ubid.com

My package was received by ubid.com on 09-15-11 at 1:47 pm sign by E *** .I was told by a rep from ubid.com that my refund will be issued within 10 days.

Today is 10-14-11 and after several e-mails and phone calls to ubid, I received no answer about my refund or a date when I'm suppose to receive my refund.

I tried one more time this morning to speak to a rep. and after being on hold for 75 Min which is an average hold time for ubid.com, I was told there having technical issues and can't access my account and I would be called back within 1 hour.

Needless to say, I never received a call back, nor have I heard anything about my refund via e-mail.

At this point I strongly believe, that ubid.com is not issuing a refund, even though my return was exactly as described in ubids.com returns policy and procedures.

I'm at the end of my possibilities and that's why I'm posting this here today to warn everyone to stay away from ubid.com.

Thank you

Not worth the hassle....

Not worth the hassle if ANYTHING goes wrong with your purchase. THey do not stand behind their products or give you access to the supplier.

Do not use uBid. There is no response to multiple emails. THe hold times on the 800 customer support line are always over 1 hour. THe customer service is simply non-existent and it's just not worth the risk.

UBid Poor Customer Service

This company can zap a customer's credit card immediately for a purchase, ship a DAMAGED product necessitating a return (it was supposed to be refurbished), incur a major undertaking on customer's part to get an RMA issued, and then in so many words tell the customer that it will take a massive technical operation to properly refund the customer's funds.

Unfortunately, this has become a way of life in dealing with so many internet sales companies.

This company IS a member of the Better Business Bureau (don't laugh). According to the BBB, uBid has had 201 filed complaints over the past 36 months and 63 of those were closed over the last year. (They have still managed to maintain a satisfactory record with the BBB but of course those reports don't tell you how much time and trouble customers had to incur in order to receive rightful service.)

After some weeks of monkeying around with uBid (and getting the run-around), this customer finally got their attention by threatening to contact organizations including, but not limited to, The Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General's Office of customer's home state, the Attorney General's Office of Illinois (uBid's domicile), The Federal Trade Commission, and other regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over internet abusive sales practices. It also helps to tell them you will file reports on them with various consumer complaint boards (such as this one) and report them in applicable trade journals warning others of their shenanigans.

After convincing uBid it would be in their best interest to act on my return without further delay, they finally made due and proper refund. Of course the refund directly from uBid finally posted to my credit card account AFTER I had already officially disputed the charge directly with the credit card company. Then I had to go to the trouble of getting the credit card dispute reversed.

Such a shame customers have to work this hard and go to this much trouble to receive due and proper service.
