TERRIBLE SERVICE

TERRIBLE service, I have had an account for my blog for 18 years, and they refuse to fix the problems. Their photo loading program doesn't work, and it just took me over 25 minutes to load 14 photos, and if it worked properly, it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. I have reported this for almost a month and they have done NOTHING to fix it, just lame excuses.

Why can't I pay for a year subscription without paying a FEE?

WHY can't I pay for a years subscription for my daughter, without paying a FEE? Can't I talk to a 'live person''?

This seems like a hoax, not to be able to talk to a live person.

I do NOT want my credit card number to go out to other locations, for a Fee. JUST tell me how to buy a years subscription ....

Trying to get my podcast to download properly from my blog

I have had a blog with Typepad since 2010. I kept the blog even though it went inactive for several years.

I continued to pay their monthly fee and did not cancel the blog. My first blog redesign happened years ago. Since I did not have any problems with them when I decided to reboot my original blog and use it as a format for my podcast I did not think there would be any problems. I was wrong.

There were problems, problems, problems. Starting with the design concept which finally got worked out and I now like the design. The last glitches are not being worked out. My feeling that I am being blown off by them is a consistent theme with me because of how they are communicating in their texts.

I am not in the text generation. I like to talk to people.,

The initial tech problem was compounded by the fact that I don't speak tech. It was difficult to communicate with them because I would express my problem and they would translate it back to me in tech speak and I don't speak tech.

I am sure that I am not the only non tech person that has a blog. What I find in general is that tech people think something is easy.

Yes it may be easy for them but not easy for some one who does not understand basic tech. If you are going to use a limiting media form such as texting and emailing to problem solve, then when it is apparent that the person does not know what you are talking about then you need a translator who speaks non tech.

I had a blog redesign to reboot my old blog and to create a podcast with this blog. I have had no problems with downloading the mp3 podcast with other directories.

Typepad is a different story. I has stated my problem over and over and each time they either can't find the post.

They have asked me to do multiple things to fix the problem and the problem continues. I don't know where the problem starts from but I know that I have been trying to fix the problem for a month.

There method of email does not work.

I am tired of being patient and being blown off by them.

Typepad Sucks | Typepad's Increasingly Unreliable Blogging Platform

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I've been a paid user of Typepad blogging platform for more than a decade. During this time frame Typepad was rarely if ever down.

Authors could access their blogs 24/7. In the last four months something is happening at Typepad. There frequent outtages. Authors cannot access their blogs during prime times.

It's just not acceptable. There seems to be something going on at Typepad. Perhaps the company has cut essential staff, perhaps they don't care. One way or another they suck right now in a very big way so I am going to tell others.

Besides the outtages, Typepad's themes are very outdated and they dont have the extensive SEO tools and plug ins that WordPress has.

Typepad and tehir owneers Say Media could be doing so much better.

I just dont get what the story is with their management. If they dont care then sell the platform to another netity that does care.

This is an update to the above post. Two days in a row authors cannot access their blogs in prime time.

Absolutely horrendous. Something is broken with Typepad.

Their webmaster should be fired. This is happening with regularity.
