Don't Hire. Dishonest Liar

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We had him try to build a house for us. Say he could handle project with no problem and said he has lots of help.

Didn't know what he was doing. Install windows in wrong spots. Didn't have egress windowes in bedrooms. Roughed in doors to low.

Half way through job decided not to show up. Would only show up one or two days a week for 5 months and work for 2-4 hours. I had to hire some else to do trim.

Then he wanted to charge me for his insurance and all the extra trips he made to tryu and finish job. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CONTRACTOR HE IS LIVING IN SOME FANTASY WORLD WHERE DOES NO WRONG AND HE IS ALWAYS RIGHT.

Kitchen Remodel - Don't Hire

Didn't listen to what I wanted as far as style goes. Every time I tried to contact him to go over countertops, cabinets, tile, backsplash, grout color etc.; he was too busy to talk about it.

Once the project was underway, he would start something then leave and disappear for days and not return my calls. I was completely unhappy with the results, the products he had me pick from a catalog and the job in general. There were a few things I wanted corrected and when I asked him to do so he got rude with me. I went without a kitchen in the house for what seemed like an eternity and after completion - I hate my kitchen.

The very thought of him makes my skin crawl. He thinks he's too good for anybody and just does whatever he wants.

Ty Brill Construction - Ty Brill Walk-In Closet Construction Review from Clarkston, Michigan

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My husband and I hired Ty Brill to do an addition and walk in closet for the master bedroom. This was done in 2012. A $47,000 job. We found he was very reasonable on his rate, gave us a start and finish time. He and his workers were always on time and left at dinner time. Extremely concerned about the dust factor since this was attached to our bedroom. Did as much as possible before creating an opening for the door. Always cleaned up, never left any tools or trash laying around. The job was completed on time and beautiful. Magazine worthy! Mr. Brill and his crew were extremely polite and caring.

I do hope that Pissed Consumer did not have the same Ty Brill as I and others that I referred him to, who all had a great experience with him and his crew.

Sincerely, ELATED CONSUMER, Mrs. Thompson

Extremely Unhappy

Didn't have a record of any of my conversation about what I wanted done, what products I picked, etc. Didn;t get the size grout lines I requested, didn't leave me extra tile or grout in case something is needed in the future after wear.

Didn't leave me the color name or product name so I could buy some extra myself. Didn;t grout some areas correctly. Used cheap products. Waited fo them all afternoon - no show no call.

I kept calling wanting to pick out tile, cabinets and countertops and he kept putting me off. Waited till the last minute and when I couldn't find exactly whet I wanted had to settle or something just ok and he had me pick cabinet out of book and when it arrived it was dirt cheap.

thin particle board. Not honorable like the web site claims they are.

Ty Brill Construction

Do not use this contractor. Dishonest, doesn't care what you want just does what he wants.

Used cheap materials, doesn't show up when he says he will and doesn't even let you know when he will show up. Did not come back and fix something as he said he would after the job was done and he was paid. Did not even check in advance to make sure the materials were in stock before he did the tear out. Did not prep the walls before painting.

Left damage to my home and didn't fix it.

Got mad at me when I complained. Doesn't return calls.

"How can I know someone is unhappy unless they tell me"....LOL, Try picking up the phone and returning a customer phone call - You have been paid so therefore it does not matter to you anymore!

Thank you for this post. I had been searching for a construction company in the area for a large winter project.

Steering clear of this company per your advice. :eek :sigh

I have not been aware of any wrong doing. I promote a strong and honest work ethic in my company.

This review is not an accurate picture of my work. These issues, had they been brought to my attention by the customer could be worked out. How can I know someone is unhappy unless they tell me.

Given the opportunity I would like to resolve these issues. Feel free to contact me by phone.
