AI Highlights
  • - Brake light was out when leaving the lot.
  • - Lights are checked before service.
  • - Service worsened after merger with 802 Toyota; customer is done.

I received a call on the 16th of dec from amy in the service dept. (2 days) after service date.

she said all lights are checked before anything is done. I said well I don't think it happened because when I was driving out of your parking lot, my husband was behind me and told me my brake light was out. her comment was, they can go out at any time. I said that is b.s.

and I am done, done, done with twin city Subaru.

she apologized and I said, don't bother to apologize, I am done with tcs. since the merger with 802 Toyota, service is terrible......

AI Highlights
  • - Oil change at Twin City Subaru.
  • - I heard a high pitched noise.
  • - Car still makes noise on acceleration; brake light was missed.

went to twin city Subaru for oil change and maintenance, also had a high pitched noise, looked on line and water pump issue that may cause noise. wrote a note regarding this issue and dropped off my outback.

received a call that car was ready and that mechanic could not hear or find an issue. when I accelerate I hear it. anyway, I was given at least 5 reasons why this may be happening. since t.c.s has merged with 802 Toyota, the service is mediocre at best.

I drove away after having words with service manager and my brake light was out.

really what is SERVICE and MAINTENANCE if brake light being out is missed. I drove to the local auto parts store and for $8.00 they replaced both bulbs and were very nice.

Selling used cars that have serious issues

AI Highlights
  • - Craigslist ad; seller was a dealer.
  • - Test drove; car shook >40 mph.
  • - Sold as is; I spent $2,000.
  • - Claims loss; paperwork favored them.

I responded to an ad on craigslist about a vehicle. When I called the number it was a dealer.

They told me to come down and look at it and road test it. I did on their little test run course the use. I bought the vehicle only to find out when you get it over 40 mph. it shakes.

I called when I got home and they told me it was as is. $2000,00 later the shaking problem was fixed. I brought them to small claims and lost.

The way the paperwork was written up I did not have a chance. buyer beware of new car dealers selling trade ins.
