Turner Tax Services is a unprofessional criminal operation.

I paid Turner Tax Services $440 to complete my 2012 taxes and 2011 tax amendment, on 2-2-13. The money orders I provided them were cashed, and the work was never done. I attempted to contact Mr. Peter Turner of Turner Tax Services numerous times through email, and telephone. He blocked my phone number, and never returned my emails. I had to have my taxes done through another company. In January 2014, I finally spoke with Mr. Turner, and he stated that he had a medical emergency last year, and that he would refund my money to me. It is now March 21, 2014, and once again Mr. Turner, has not refunded my monies, and has refused to return my calls and emails. I want Turner Tax Services to give me a full of my $440 via official US Postal Money Order via priority mail tracking. I tried filing with the BBB, to contact Mr. Turner. The BBB could not validate that Mr. Turner was in business. Mr. Turner will not answer calls, and only uses a answering system. He will not be in touch with anyone after April tax deadline. He turns off his system after the tax deadline, however he reactivates the system in January of every year to make money. I was a customer of Mr. Turener for over 10 years, then he stole from me. I advise everyone out there to avoid this man, it does not matter how long he has done business for your, he will steal from you at a moments notice. He has 5 complaints against him that were unresolved by the BBB: http://www.bbb.org/sdoc/business-reviews/tax-return-preparation/turner-tax-services-in-san-diego-ca-2800****/ Complaints from yelp: http://www.yelp.com/biz/turner-tax-service-la-mesa Guilty of tax fraud: http://www.lawfuel.com/irs-preparer-fraud-fact-sheet-irs-cracks-down-on-tax-return-preparer-fraud La Mesa Tax Preparer Pleads Guilty to Preparing a False Tax Return On December 10, 2008, Peter R. Turner pleaded guilty before United States Magistrate Judge Anthony J. Battaglia, in the Southern District of California, to one count of Aiding and Assisting in the Preparation and Presentation of a False Income Tax Return for tax year 2002, in violation of Title 26, United States Code, Section 7206(2), subject to final acceptance of the plea by United States District Court Judge M. James Lorenz, at the time of sentencing. According to Turner’s plea agreement, he owned and operated Turner Tax Services, a tax preparation business, since 1997, and prepared tax returns for a fee of between $100 to $200. During the tax years 2002 and 2003, Turner knowingly inflated his clients’ itemized deductions to obtain a larger refund for his clients and thereby promote his business. Turner inflated his clients’ itemized deductions for personal property taxes, gifts to charity, and unreimbursed employee expenses. Turner also admitted that, on or about April 15, 2003, he prepared and electronically filed a joint U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, Form 1040, on behalf of a married couple. He falsely reported that the taxpayers had total itemized deductions of $44,709, deductions for personal property taxes of $2,473, gifts to charity of $5,003, and unreimbursed employee expenses of $8,197. Turner knew that these deductions were inflated, and he received no documentation from the taxpayers to support these itemized deductions claimed. Turner inflated these deductions without discussing the deductions with his clients. Possible business address': 1. 7400 El Cajon Blvd Ste 206 La Mesa, CA 91941 2. 5945 Pacific Center Boulevard, Suite 510-A1, San Diego, CA 92121 There are complaints of Mr. Turner falsifying information, not providing audit support, and not preparing your taxes after being paid. Consumers beware. It does not matter how long you have been a customer of Mr. Turner, you could be the next victim.
