in 2019 I paid $4200 for TRUE Commercial Elliptical machine with a 10 year warranty. Purchased it from, and was installed by, a TRUE Authorized dealer.

4 months ago the unit began having a bad squeak. The Authorized dealer had to come out twice to work on it and determined THEY had cross threaded a bolt into the insert on the base of the unit when THEY installed it. Over these 4 months, TRUE has refused to assist with the repair and their Authorized dealer continues to blame TRUE for not honoring the warranty.

When the repair guy from the TRUE Authorized dealer worked on the unit the second time, he had a TRUE technician on the phone and was offered by TRUE to replace the unit. When I checked on the replacement 2 months later, TRUE acted as if the RMA had never happened.

In the same lying breathe, they said we should let the dealer drill a bigger hole and add a nut and bolt. I disagreed and asked if they would just replace the base piece that was damaged by THEIR authorized dealer, and they said NO. The only repair option they'll consider is to drill a larger hole in the base and add a nut and bolt, which will weaken the weight-bearing piece. Apparently $3 is their budget for warranty repairs for $4200 ellipticals.

Best part is I reported them to BBB and the VP of Support (Kevin) has the nerve to lie, stating I'm demanding a replacement and I will not accept repairs. TRUE has not once offered a thing.

Considering small claims but in reality, I'll probably just sell the $10000 of TRUE equipment I have and buy something else.

Just another example that higher prices and long warranties do not mean a thing these days.
