2010 Chrysler Town and Country

My wife and I decided to get another C&T, after my 2001 turned over 199,000 miles, the transmission started to act out. We went back to Truce where we bought a previous vehicle two years ago. We were happy then and we are happy now. Kudos to Tracy,Sandy,Sharon and Fabe for all that you do ! Making a car purchade is stressful but you guys made it easy, comfortable, with less stress. You all are GREAT AND AWESOME.

Resolved: Very Unhappy

Update by user Apr 06, 2018

Due to our situation, Tracy at Truce Auto went way above what could be expected of a dealership; she helped us to get out of our loan on the 2007 Saturn Outlook and was able to get us financed on a vehicle that has been thoroughly inspected by their mechanic! Some of the ongoing problems were apparently created by the "Preferred Mechanic" we were referred to by the warranty company.

I will be sending a recommendation to the warranty company that they remove this mechanic from their list and NOT refer people to them for any repairs. They caused more damage to our car than they fixed!

Update by user Apr 06, 2018

Truce Auto has resolved the issue with this car. I am thankful they sold me the extended warranty or I would have been out thousands of dollars on repairs for this vehicle! Tracy worked very hard, going above and beyond what most dealerships would to get us into different vehicle.

We bought a 2007 Saturn Outlook from Truce in July 2017. The sales rep placed an extended warranty on the loan without asking if we wanted it. The next day when I drove it I was unable to get it in reverse. We took it into the mechanic Truce recommended; the transmission needed replaced. Six months later the engine light came on and several messages such as "Check Stabilitrak", "Traction Control Disabled", "Engine Power Reduced" came on. I called the mechanic Truce Auto swears by and he told me the warranty company would only pay about half of his bill. I then called the warranty company and they have me a list of preferred mechanics in our area. When we took it to a "preferred mechanic" of the warranty company, they found our Saturn needed timing chains and cam gear replaced. After getting it back from the mechanic, the power steering was not working, and one week later our check engine light is back on. Truce Auto sold us a car that has more problems than my $1000 Cadillac I drove for 4 years; we still have 54 months left to pay on this car and are unable to confidently drive it out of town, let alone back and forth to work.

Truce Auto Customer Care Review from Brush Prairie, Washington

I want to say that truce Auto owners and employees are the most professional and caring people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I have purchased two automobiles from Tracy in Redmond and she has gone above and beyond in all aspects of my purchase. I would recommend truce Auto to all of my friends and Associates you won't find better people in this area to work with when you're buying a used automobile. Caesar and Joe in Madras are fantastic mechanics and really care about making their customers happy . My name is Phyllis Adams and I am a very satisfied customer!

Highly Recommend Truce Auto

I know personally and from several friends that Truce Auto is exceptionally honest and that they bend over backwards for people. If anything, they try hard to help people who can't get financed. I have owned a business in Central Oregon for 20 plus years and know a lot of people I have recommended that are very happy. I know some people will have issues and you can't make everyone happy but overall they are good ethical people who care about our community. My Truck was purchased over a year ago and is problem free and I bought it without pressure and am very happy. Jan S

2003 Dodge pickup 2500

http://imagescdn.dealercarsearch.com/Media/7285/670****/635825****1887****.jpg I was trying to buy the truck and I found out that they took the truck from Redmond to Madras and they hit a deer. At the time they had it to sell at $19999 and not tell it to car fax.Now the price went up to pay the body shop. Now the price is $ 20999. Not cool. So it is still for sell so ho is interested in this truck should look at it very closely, it hit on the right side of the front grill and right door. they had to take it to Portland to get it fix.

We are sorry you did not read our response to you in email that we would honor the price quoted to you on this truck. We offered the original price quoted to you AFTER the repair was made by the specialist we use in Portland.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at Truce Auto. We would be happy to discuss this with you.

What a lie. Post your name.

They don't charge to detail. You anonymous fool.

Eventually sites like this I'll be able to trace who writes these and if there are damages that can be assessed I'm sure you'll be sorry when you lie. Who knows maybe there's already a way to trace you

Great service before and after the sale

Test drove a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I commented on the brakes needing adjustment and a couple of other small issues. They repaired the issues and called me to come and test drive again. I live in Redmond and the car was in Madras, they brought the car to their Redmond location for us to drive. We purchased the car ( at a very good price ). Three weeks later the battery went bad, I asked Tracey ( the co-owner ) if they would replace it, without hesitation, she asked me if I wanted to get one at NAPA or Les Swab. Went to Les Swab, they installed a new battery, and I was on my way, at no cost to me. GREAT SERVICE!!

Promised me, then sold it to someone else

Yep, the same thing just happened to me, where Truce Auto in Madras Oregon promised me the vehicle that I inquired about and then turned around and sold it to someone else. I told them that I was traveling 3 hours to view the vehicle and they told me that they would hold the vehicle until I got there, and I even confirmed before I left that this is what they were going to do. When I got there, they stated that someone else offered them more then what they were offering for the vehicle. This is a scam of an auto dealership. DO NOT BUY HERE!!!

Ripped Off on Auto Deal

Truce Auto - Ripped Off on Auto Deal
Truce Auto - Ripped Off on Auto Deal
Purchased a 2004 Chevy Suburban from Truce Auto in Madras/Redmond, Oregon on May 31, 2013 using a 1997 GMC 'Burb as a trade-in ($2500 down). $8500 was financed. Leaving the lot I found the turn signals were flashing quicker than usual. The owner told me to take the truck to their friends place in town. I did and was told he'd have to tear out the steering column to fix the problem. I took it home, removed the tail light lenses and replaced two bulbs which fixed the problem. On June 15, the fuel guage went bonkers and was told I'd have to replace the fuel pump/sending unit (from inside the gas tank) This I did to no avail. Next, I sent the cluster off to Utah and had it totally reconditioned. This fixed that problem. When I asked for some help with all of this from the owner I was basically ignored. Told to find a solution on the internet. Then the front wheel bearings needed replacing along with a tie rod. During this process we had to replace the brakes and rotors. When the digital message appeared on the dash saying "service stabletrack" we then had to rebuild the front diff.(All wheel drive:a Nightmare!!) Went to get the trany serviced and found the output bearing on the transfer case was bad and pulling trany fluid into the transfer case. We rebuilt the transfer case. Had the transmission serviced and went for an alignment only to find the toe-in was 65 degrees toed in. Fixed that. Had tires checked only to find two were de-laming, and two other wheels were splitting. The tire pressure sensors were bad. Did not replace them. Bought new tires and wheels. Had to replace the A/C belt and tensioner. Up to this point I had $3000 in parts and labor plus the down and 3-mos. payments. I was SO fed up at this point. They allowed us to "self-re-po" and still offered no help whatsoever. Every time I talked with them they implied it was all my problem, or, they were too busy to hear me out. I understand the "as is" clause, but having owned the rig for only three months and driven only 1200 miles and to lose it all because I was sold a piece of *** in the first place? In my view this is criminal, at least! These people will bend over backwards to sell you a car, then, have you bend over forwards and "give it to you" over and over. You can find out for yourself if you dare. First the "Lemon" then the "***". Feeling VERY Ripped-Off!! Abused, and "HAD"

The only thing you failed to mention is what due diligence you did before you agreed to purchase the vehicle. Any reasonable person knows that when buying a used vehicle you should have the vehicle inspected and tested by a mechanic YOU know and trust; independent of the dealer.

If you truly "understand the 'AS IS' clause" as you say you do, then you know that you agreed to buy the vehicle in the condition it was in, at the time and place you bought it.

True of false: you purchased the vehicle without any guarantee or warranty from the dealer?

If you wanted them to warrant the vehicle for 90 days, then you should have negotiated those terms.

The fact that the dealer let you back out of the agreement you made, 3 months after the fact, actually says this dealer is more than reasonable.

And, no, I don't have ANY vested interest in this, or any other dealer. I just hate to see people who write reviews accuse others of bad business practices when they are NEGLIGENT as a customer.
