Not honest

  • - Initial calls said no premium sites, but 700 area had sites.
  • - We paid $100 for a background check; 700 had nothing; we believe we are owed $100.

Will repeat this senecio. Our first call was to check on sites available in 700 area but were told nothing was available but there were sites in premium area next to 700.

Decided to take premium location and when called we were told nothing available in premium but there were sites in 700. So we decided to visit to see what was available. We were told we could drive thru 700 area and any site without blue sign was a available. We selected several sites.

Then we were told we had to do background check but person was out. We faxed them next day and paid $100.00 to process for site in 700 area. As soon as we were confirmed we called with our site selection. The girl said no problem she would make some calls and would call back in 2-3 hours.

When I had not heard I called in but girl had gone home early. Young man tried to help but ended up giving me a supervisor who informed me that she did not know why I was told there was availability in 700 because they had nothing. She said she could try 200 area but we said no thank you. All was based on 700 sites and therefore we should be refunded $100 for false information.

She said she would try but got call saying sorry could not get refund.

We never would have given Tropical Palms money for background if they had been honest about availability. Believe we are owed $100.

Unethical

  • - $100 background check charged under false pretenses; refund requested.
  • - Alleges misrepresentation of site availability in the 700 area.

I feel this location took our $100.00 for a background under false information. Starting in September 2019 we contacted the Tropical Palms for a site in 700 location of their park.

First said not available that only premier sites by pond was available long term. When we called back to take the premier we were told not available but plenty in 700 area. So on Monday we stopped in person and assured there were plenty of sites in 700 area. We were able to drive thru the area and any site that did not have blue sign indicating annual site reservation was available.

If we completed the background paper work we could work on reserving site available in 700 area.. Person that did background was out so we transmitted the paperwork Tuesday the very next day. On Saturday we received notice we were approved. Called on Monday to give our site preference - the girl took site number and said would call later to confirm.

When I did not hear I called and got supervisor who said there was no sites available and never was and they were not to say that.. Well they did several times.. If they had been honest in beginning we would not have given a $100 for background check to something that was impossible. Therefore I believe the $100 should be refunded to us.

How many $100 have been taken under false pretense. I am sure Encore does not want such a reputation..

I would appreciate your response as soon as possible. I sent note to rvonthego.com but did not receive reply.
