Verified ReviewerA mistake was made by Susan and was not remedied.
- - Puppy claimed gentle, but it was aggressive.
- - Trainers said temperament issues required firm handling.
- - We returned the dog after four months; no refund.
Susan gave us a puppy that she assured us was gentle and did not even need to be crated! Turns out the dog is very confident and started attacking our 12 year old mix, and lunging at my husband.
We repeatedly asked for help and she told us to go to a trainer.
We met and worked with three trainers. We were told that this was a temperament issue and would always exist, that the dog would need a very firm and skilled hand. We are not trainers.
We wanted a calm and gentle dog and cant devote the time this dog required for maintenance training.
We were told by several trainers to return the dog.
We returned the dog in 4 months after doing our best job and Susan will not replace or refund any money - as though she hadnt picked the dog for us and knowing that we have an old dog!
She has said how well the dog was trained and wanted to give us the dog back until I said NO. Now she is changing her story.
She has the dog and the money.
- Healthy dogs
- Will not take responsibility for matching temperament to home
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Do not take her recommendation and bring your existing dog to meet puppies to make sure it is a good fit.

- - We purchased Peyton Pursuit of Perfection in 2014; they arranged and shipped.
- - Peyton is a service dog and breed ambassador; people stop to ask.
Purchasing "Peyton Pursuit of Perfection" from Dr Susan Schultz and her husband Marty in 2014 was a great experience. They handled all the arrangements, and shiped her to us.
She is perfection and everything they said she was! We have had Peyton for 6 years now, and she is my service dog and our loving companion. Peyton is an ambassador for her breed.
We get stopped everywhere we go with questions about this beautiful well mannered dog. She is truly the love our lives!!
Thanks Marty and Susan.

Questionable Business Ethics
- - Deposits requested; follow-up is inconsistent.
- - Website instructs to call and wait for a callback.
- - Communication is inconsistent; dogs are rushed to airports.
The principal owner of Trisong Tibetan Terriers, has inconsistent and odd business practices.
Their website advises , to send deposits for purchase of their dogs.
The Trisong website, also advises to call the organization and or the Principal's cell phone as listed on the website, to assure that she will call back promptly.
The follow up communication is erratic. Voicemails, informing customers, that she will be unavailable to return calls for several days, listing specific dates, remain unchanged and not updated for as much as a month.
If you are able to reach or her or her husband, randomly , they present as rushed, chaotic, hurrying dogs to airports, to get them to customers.
Nevertheless, as a potential person of interest, who can drive to their home where they have their dogs, multiple squirrely reasons were created only through emails, making it challenging at best to actually meet with them and their dogs.
There is not necessarily anything inherently askew or inappropriate with their ethics as it relates to proper breeding, care and oversight of the dogs and facilities.
However, any reputable breeder and or business owner, with avoidance in having easily accessible and direct communication that is in opposition to what the business represents on their website, raises question of illegitimate business practice at the very least. Even if they chose to be selective in how they proceed with any potential customer, as reputable dog breeder's can be well intended necessarily scrutinizing. However, Trisong's advertising and communication are not aligned, not consistent and questionably sketchy.
As it relates to breeding dogs one may question whether there is diversion from credible and ethical practices related to the care and compassion of the dogs.

We guarantee our puppies temperament is as we say it is upon receipt. We cannot control how you raise puppies and in what type of environment after 5 months.
From May through the end of September you consistently told me all was well. I posted all your text comments to me on my Flickr site (Daphne’s texts album) so those who may question my guarantee can see that you in fact were very pleased with Allie until 5 months later you weren’t. Everyone who met him upon his return or transported him to you and back expressed there was no temperament or behavior problem. He had no issue with people or other dogs and was actually a bit submissive.
TT adolescence is a time when pups test the limits just as humans.
After all - it is why they have the nickname - Tibetan Terrors. You chose not to get a second opinion or work with him
We spent lots of time with a variety of trainers and you mentioned how well trained he was when we returned him to you. I did mention in my texts when his behavior was extreme and you did not follow through in a way that that gave me confidence that you would help.
You said you would “replace” him and then you reneged. You did not return what we paid for him either.
