Support ticket languish unanswered for over two days
In 2012 I had issues with a Tribulant plugin. It routinely took Tribulant over 48 hours to respond to any support ticket.
In 2017 I had issues with a Tribulant plugin not working as advertised, support ticket waited over 48 hours for first response; I'm still waiting (over 48 hours) for next response. Tribulant is only good for people who will never need tech support from them. Tribulant does not provide timely tech support.
It routinely takes over 48 hours for every response from Tribulant tech support. I sure hope that your clients don't mind waiting a week for their website to work properly.

Worst shopping cart ever
Don't use this. We made the mistake of installing this system among several of our clients websites.
The features, layout, etc. look nice and useful at first, and they are! Until, it all breaks. Then, the update breaks it worse.
Then, the de-bug fix they offer breaks it even more. I don't feel their QA or support responses are worth a penny, much less the cost of using Tribulant Checkout. WooCommerce is what we use for all Wordpress sites now.
Do yourself a huuuuge favor and forget about using Tribulant. I have wasted so much time and money trying to fix their plugin for them.

My experience with the Tribulant Check-out feature has been very good up to the end. Whenever I had buggy fixes that needed to be fixed, I provided my login information, and they fixed them for me.
The 12 hour turnaround time is pretty frustrating with them being on the other side of the globe, and not having someone available to support us in our time zone. But that being said, support was always helpful and courteous. Till Site Lock reported a *** to the Checkout plugin. I sent Tribulant the report I received and instead of the next day response, nothing.
Ever. Days went by and I resent the information and nicely asked for help. Tribulant went into my Worpress admin page, and removed their software. No notice or permission.
My online store files and history were gone. I changed the site password, restored a backup to get the information back, rebuilt a ecommerce presence, and am back online. It took three weeks of downtime to adapt and rebuild because of the Tribulant Software failure. Never heard from them.
Obviously, I would not advise use of their products, not because they don't work, but the impropriety and lack of integrity on the companies part.
The frustration and loss of business is enough, but purposely destroying a customer's online store is inexcusable. Buyer beware!!!

I searched for reviews before settling on Tribulant and I found some mixed results. I decided to give them a shot. Boy am I sorry I did.
The first problem is that I can't get their plugin to work on my host at all (Bluehost). I explained this to them, but they refused to give me a refund.
On top of that, I had them build a custom modification to their plugin, and they dragged on and on with the development. Finally they said it was done, but for some reason they didn't deliver it to me. I sent a reply through their messaging system, asking for them to deliver it. 2 weeks later, and no response. I sent another message asking what was going on. Terrible customer service experience. Think very carefully before sending them any money. You will NOT get your money back under ANY circumstances.
You've been warned.

Tribulant Support is *** and their cart is EXTREMELY buggy!
I work for a web design firm with three web designers. We were going to start making Tribulant's shopping cart plugin our go-to for customers who wanted e-commerce sites. However, their software is EXTREMELY buggy and their support is seriously ***
They promise that they will fix broken features and never do. They promise to add requested features by certain dates, then they don;t do it. After that, they NEVER respond to you again.
Do NOT waste your time and money on their products. It is not worth the frustration and you'll have to switch carts in the end anyway.

Tribulant.com Refuses Refund
I purchased the "shopping card plugin" from tribulant.com which kept on causing a major error on my site, the error was to such a level that my site was not available online. tribulant.com have a no refund policy.
I acted according to the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR) which by law entitles me a refund due to the broken product. Tribulant.com still refuses to refund me and legal action has been taken against them. Do not buy from Tribulant.com
I informed tribulant.com about the legal requirements they have to refund me and they now do not reply to my emails or answer any telephone calls i make to them.
They are not a big business, just an online site selling plugins. Stay away from them

I'm the owner of Tribulant Software (tribulant.com). There has been a change of ownership in September 2019 and all members of Tribulant have been changed.
We are no longer in South Africa but in Canada. Thank you for your review. We did not know about this website until recently. Of course, time has passed and it has been 7 years.
I can see that they ignored you at times and took time to respond. We're not perfect either, we sometimes fail to reply quickly, but that's only because we are humans, have multiple tickets daily, multiple tasks, limited staff, and they all have their hands full. However, we attempt to reply within a few days for new tickets, and for existing tickets, pretty quickly. If we're available, then within a few minutes.
If it's at night, then the next morning. Rest assured that we do end up replying, even if it's after 1, 2, or 3 days. We're also a hosting company so we sometimes have situations where clients need urgent help with their websites. Try contacting some large companies.
Some of them take 3 weeks to reply. Unacceptable, but we somehow have to endure that.
I've once had a company reply after 8 months. Thanks again.
