Delayed delivery

We were told 12 business days for delivery. We ordered the 1000W scooter for vacation for my wife who had both knees replaced.

It took 56 days to get delivered. Tightly packed heavy box of many parts to be assembled. No assembly instructions included, no owners manual, and flat tire with the inside and outside beads loose. I don't know how an older or handicapped person could get it together.

We left for vacation and purchased one at a store totally assembled. I did get a link form the company and printed the manuals I needed.

I will NEVER buy anything from this company and would not recommend them. I disputed the purchase twice but VISA reversed their first decision and ruled against me.

TryTYou sign away your rights at the time the order is placed. Never again.

This is a bunch of hogwash. Guess what people reading this.

News flash. There are issues with logistics in this country after the last 3 years of problems that have been forced on us. Even in the golf car buisiness I cant get parts when they say theyre coming because thats the problem in supply chain right now. Sometimes theyre 60 or even 90 days late for simple parts.

The same thing happens when we take a contract to build a $10,000 golf car for someone and then they fraudulently chargeback when an agreement is made after we delivered it. Then you get mad because you didnt get something for nothing. Im only writing this because the internet is filled with these kinds of people who want to destroy businesses for no good reason when the issues in this country are bigger than what small business can control. Im sick of it.

The business has a right not to respond to you after they paid for all the merchandise plus shipping costs and delivered the item, and then after that money is spent on your product for you and delivered it, you think you can file some fraudulent claim with the bank because you have a right to cost them the total amount you paid and the money the business spent on it AFTER you received it.

Nice try. I wouldnt call you back either.

Lack of communication, delivery delays, and multiple excuses

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I feel very disrespected and I am truly disappointed of the lack of communication, bogus emails, the treatment, and the run around Im getting from the Triad Motion Vehicle Company. No one in the Triad Motion Company accepts and/or returns my phone calls any longer, and now Im blocked from emailing them on the company's website contact us page.

Im reduced to a receptionist who ALWAYS says no one is available in the Whole Entire Company. However, they will be happy to forward my messages. Who exactly are you forwarding my message to if no one in the whole entire company is available? Prior to me Paying In Full for the CSX 750, the captains chair, and the lock box Everyone was Always available and I used to ALWAYS get return phone calls.

However, after tTriad Motion Company received my payment, the phone calls stopped and the emails started. Its nearly impossible to speak to anyone except for a receptionist at the Triad Motion Vehicle Company. Im very tired of the Woo Hoo emails saying its on its way without a delivery, I REQUESTED A REFUND IMMEDIATELY! I was told and later promised a no later than a 30 day delivery turn around.

I have left numerous messages, without getting a single return phone call from a live person. Every time I email inquiring about the status of my purchase, I get the same Woo Hoo email stating its on its way; yet always without a delivery date. The same Woo Hoo email Ive received multiple times stating theres been a delay at the overseas manufacture due to hurricane weather and thanks me for my patience. Ive reached my limit with the excuses.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am going to STRONGLY suggest that NO ONE should ever purchase anything from the Triad Motion Vehicle Company. I'm sharing my story with everyone and I wished I found this review website before I purchased anything from the Triad Motion Vehicle Company. I've registered a compliant with the American Disability Association to inform them of treatment Ive received from Triad Motion Vehicle Company.

It's despicable mistreating anyone; but defrauding and disrespectful treatment to a person with Disabilities - Is Extremely Shameful. Im don't mind sharing all of our correspondence (emails, call logs with dates, times, & duration). Buyer Be Aware! Now, I'm trying to getting in contact with the news media.

It will be my mission to make as many people aware of all the broken promises and maltreatment I received from the Triad Motion Vehicle Company.

Due to the horrible treatment, the run around, the bogus emails, getting hung up on, the bogus tracking slip from UPS, lack of communication, not returning phone calls, being blocked from the Triad Motion Vehicle Company website contact us page, The Triad Motion Company is a SCAM company. DESPICABLE! VERY SHAMEFUL!

DISRESPECTFUL!

The Triad Motion Company, treats their Paying Customers with Disrespect! This Is Very Shameful!

OMG I am having the same issue. I reported them to the credit card company and they fought my claim by issuing a document they claim I signed.

I am still disputing this charge. It has been 8 weeks and still no product.

The only way they communicate with me is through the credit card dispute. They still have not returned my calls.

OK, Contact your credit card company. Talk to someone live, not thru a chat thing.

Ask them to send you a copy of what ever Triad claims you signed, and also be ready to send them copies of your signature. I'm betting what Triad is saying you signed is an agreement to a third party dispute settlement. That's all well and fine BUT they - Triad I'll bet haven't proposed a third party. Also point out to the credit card company how long it's been since you placed the order and that you have no tracking info and no product, Point out that Triad is NOT taking your calls, If you haven't e-mailed them do so, and provide any email replies to the CC company.

Most counties have a consumer fraud lawyer in the DA's office. Go have a talk with them. Be prepared with any printed document you have like the complete sales contract. See if they can assist.Triad claims delivery in 30 days.

That's because they order units from the MFG in china on a as needed basis, air ship to the USA and delivered normally via DHL. I've recently found the same scooter at a "made in china" web site for $450, maybe add shipping. I don't fault making money but I point this out as they claim they own the factory in China and that just doesn't seem to be true. One other item, just today Triad had an add on Facebook claiming the 2024 models are now ready to be released.

If that is correct then your unit should have already been sent.I'm wondering if they are having a cash flow problem and are having trouble paying the bills. I am not saying they are but it would answer a lot of open questions.

I know this is a lot but they will just run over people until someone is able to but a brick wall in front of them. Let me know what happens.

This is happening to my dying wife. We have 2 adopted girls, one with special needs and my wife shouldn't have to suffer the shame and degerdation of being treated this way.

It's been months of run around, and the same bougus emails about hurricanes or some such nonsense, we purchased our item months before any hurricanes. Same fake secretaries saying they will pass along messages. ...

please contact me on Instagram @funnybookcollector . I would like to sue this company together if possible.

I would Love too. I even explained it the salesman who answered and called me relentless until my card cleared, that I was a double amputee.

After the emails started, I got one email stating that my salesman is out for surgery. I ordered this scooter in the beginning of September 2023. It’s December 1, 2023 and all I have is a useless battery. I’ve already contacted the BBB, American Disability Services, Pissed Off, and an attorney who turned me down.

I’ve reached out to my credit card company and I’m waiting on their investigation and final decision. Triad keeps assuring everyone it’s all because of nature and a holiday for the delay. Always ending in, it’s on its way.

Please keep me updated and I’ll to the same. I don’t have instagram my email is waresh1012@***.com.

I'll bet the best option for you would to be contact your credit card company and refute the charges. Triad is just going to song and dance.

You could sue them but what are you going to get for your effort? They don't care, they are an internet only sales company that is hiding from paying taxes. At the end of the day just get your money back thru your credit card company ( I did but it did take 3 weeks) call it a season learned. Even if you win, you'll loose because they will just keep on keeping on.... I know it sucks but this is what's real.

IF you do go the league path I am willing to speak to your lawyers. Good luck to you & merry Christmas.

Guest

Shannon, I also have had like type issues dealing with triad.I assume you paid with a credit card and if so why not contact your credit card company and see if they can assist in getting a refund. When I didn't get my refund I called Chase, 15 days later I had my money.

Here's what I think is going on and if I am wrong I will say I'm sorry. Triad is a "internet sales company" only. Their mailing address is a UPS Store in Boca Raton, Fl. When calling the company the calls are answered by a 3rd party call center (one of the operators admitted that to me) and they just pass calls on to ????

A point of interest is that the city of Boca Raton FL, the county of Palm Beach FL know nothing about a company called Triad. No business license and no sales taxes being pain. I don't know if this is legit or not but I smells funny to me. The county of Palm Beach said that as they are a company that mfg electric vehicles (even if the units are made in chine by a 3rd party) Palm beach needs to know who is doing what and where the are doing its and that taxes are suppose to be paid to the county.

This is what I was told over the phone, true or not I don't know If Triad replies to this they will try to deflect any and all blame away from them, They are well versed at is. Please do contact the South FL BBB, file a complaint and expect triad to reply with a long winded response about how they are trying so hard to work with you but your just being unreasonable and use foul language, etc..... They did it to me and others.

Again, contact your credit card company and dispute the charges. Good luck to you, post a update and let us know what happens.

We have provided Mr. K the specific information that he requested in a timely manner directly to his email requests.

The battery was neglected to be charged properly according to manufacturer. Chestine does not know the manufacturing process for high powered automotive grade Lithium battery products, and does not know the safety processes involved in delivery process for high powered Lithium batteries listed under federal mandate as Dangerous Goods, or the maintenance procedures for managing high powered Lithium batteries.

Chestine does not understand the requirements or how the safety mechanism in the computer controlled battery management system works or is activated due to neglect. Chestine is not a client or authorized agent of Triad Electric Vehicles and has no affiliation with the company.

Guest

Lithium Batteries are highly regulated as dangerous goods. We have gone so far as to put a screen on the battery along with a Bluetooth chip that transmits the battery data to a smart phone, so that at any point in time, the batteries can be viewed with real time data in order to maintain a proper state of charge.

Additionally, there is a countdown timer on the physical battery itself within the screen encoded with the BMS system. That will give you a timer how much time you have until you must balance charge each Battery. No other company in the world has gone that far to ensure the ease of maintenance for simplicity to the standards of safety than we have. The ODP & LVC over discharge protection and low-voltage cut off have been activated by the battery management system and have for safety purposes disconnected the battery so that you cannot create an electrical malfunction or sell the battery to somebody who can create an electrical malfunction and cause an electrical malfunction because you have not taken care of the battery properly according to the manufacturer recommendations.

The over discharge protection, and the low-voltage cut off is computer controlled. The computer will export this data with specific accuracy and cannot be discredited. The safety mechanism enabled for your safety. This is not an OEM defect.

Unfortunately, it is neglect. It is activated to effectively eliminated all risk by you not properly maintaining your battery as required and prevent electrical malfunctions. We certainly are not happy to know that you have not managed your batteries properly, but we certainly are happy to know that our safety mechanism and our battery management system is working properly and has been enabled in order to prevent any potential serious problems and even in your negligence to maintain the battery, it is safe. It was our responsibility to build and manufacture the safest battery on the market and that is what we have done.

It is only because of your negligence that the battery is not functioning at this time. The battery disconnect is because it was failed to be charged and maintained properly. The error code that you have provided will not populate unless the battery is left to fall below operating voltage at which time the battery management system automatically disconnects the battery so that it cannot be charged or overcharged to prevent electrical malfunction for safety purposes. Fortunately, due to our highest standards for your personal safety with powerful batteries, the BMS is working effectively.

A new battery must be purchased, and that new battery must also be properly maintained according to manufacturing safety guidelines so this issue isn't repeated.

Please be sure to see the videos, and user guides for proper usage and maintenance of this high powered battery. The screen on the battery is very useful to provide you with the information you need 24/7 365 to be sure you are properly storing and maintaining your battery for many years of reliable use.

Dear Mr. King, We are so very sorry to hear that you have not maintained your battery accordingly.

The battery and BMS is functioning properly as the ODP (Over Discharge Protection) BMS (Battery Management System) is safely preventing you from potentially causing a electrical malfunction for your safety. Thank you for your photos. Your photos clearly indicate the Error Code as we have informed you that by neglecting the proper balance charging of the battery during dormant storage, and by allowing the battery to fall well below the operating voltage, you have allowed the BMS to activate the internal ODP and LVC (Low Voltage Cutoff) for safety and the battery requires replacement. Your participation in maintaining the battery balance charging requirements according to the minimum standards for dormant storage or operations according to the manufacturer requirements as outlined in the vehicle’s user manual were not met.

The BMS activation of ODP and LVC was activated as a result of neglect to follow proper charging procedures.

As instructed by the User Manual, and by our sales team, and the battery maintenance videos we provided, you have failed to follow proper charging practices, resulting in the battery being required to be replaced for safety purposes. Thank you, Triad

Got my Triad and its exactly what we ordered. Had it about 6 months now, and it runs like a top. It has lot more safety built in. Brakes and battery safety was a major concern with all the other products I looked into. I didnt like those heavy old lead batteries and Triad was the only thing out there that gave me light weight and all the power I need day to day because Im almost over 300 lbs.

Terrible product battery lasted a year

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The battery came apart couldnt find Ben get it out of the black bag. So had to cut the bag to get the battery out before it exploded in my garage.

The scooter was a gift for my mom since she cant get around anymore. To get a replacement battery is $750 because apparently you can only buy their battery. Well after spending $2200+ a year ago I cant put out another $750 on a battery to only last a year. I dont care about Bluetooth on a battery my mom cant do that anyway.

She has no idea what to do even after explaining it many times to her. So basically we just have a 3 wheel paperweight now.

This is wrong on so many levels if this for the elderly which most are on a fixed income how are they supposed to be able to affordable a battery every year. This is ridiculous there should be other options especially if you dont need a Bluetooth battery in the 1st place.

Unfortunately, the reporter of this post is not a customer of our product. Fong Yup has never purchased a Triad model from us, has never contacted us for any support and the report of the battery in this post is entirely false.

Triad is the only product on the market with safety prevention included in the battery to prevent electrical malfunctions during improper charging practices. The sole purpose of the Bluetooth BMS system is to provide safety when proper charging practices are not followed. Although the battery may be more expensive on the front end, as everyone knows, with proper charging practices it can replace up to $3600 worth of lead acid battery replacements over time and our battery means safety and value over the long term. Triad's Exclusive BMS [Battery Management System] Protection Provides: Thermal Management of over-temperature protection in dormancy, and during charge and discharge cycles.

Reports real time battery discharge data a during use in operations. Reports real time battery charging data a while charging. Controls the charger to ensure proper charge of the battery. Manages cell balance to ensure optimum performance of the battery.

Over-current protection during charge and discharge cycles. Over-voltage protection during charge and discharge cycles. Under-voltage protection (during discharging).

Thermal Management of under-temperature protection in dormancy, and during charge and discharge cycles. Ground fault or leakage current detection in dormancy, and during charge and discharge cycles.

Product was great looking but they could improve their service. Velofix does not service 750's in San Diego as it referenced on the website

Velofix won't even touch the product in San Diego. I purchased the Triad 750 with the understanding Velofix could service the product.

I spent endless energy & time trying communicate the brake problem.

They do not want to let people know what their service is like & have been told, via email, ...

"At this time your account is suspended for 180 days".

Also, it says "until we can see the Yelp review has been permanently removed."

Beautiful looking product and I would assume it would be fun to ride, but less than 2 miles on it, I probably will truly never find out.

Its not fair to slam Velofix. They have been working with us for years, and they wont touch this specific scooter because the Pat G was rude to the technician who arrived on site at her home, and he had to leave her house because he felt threatened by her cursing at him and that it was a toxic environment.

He could clearly see the damage to the vehicle was not a manufacturing defect, and she got angry and finally explained to him that she damaged the scooter when she was moving. We tried to provide her with 3 different qualified technicians, however, Pat G is unfortunately unable to get along with anyone who is sent to assist her.

James L Lwk

Doesn’t matter how it looks if it doesn’t work. Mine looked great out of the box but after riding 3 or 4 times the weds started to break around the neck

Guest

We have spoken to Pat at length and provided multiple options to have her unit fixed. We have also spoken to the authorized technician who first arrived to her home to repair her Triad.

The technician has 30 years of experience in the industry, and is a highly qualified professional with 18 years at the same location and is well respected in the local community she recently moved to. The independent 3rd party technician who first arrived to assist her explained after a physical on site inspection that during her recent move to his neighborhood, she broke 2 scooters including her Triad. He explained that issue is that there is a broken wire in the harness causing a short. We (Triad) have provided the parts to Pat at no charge so this can be repaired.

We have provided the instructions to her and the technician to repair it. We have sent detailed schematics and authorized and provided this information to 3 other local technicians to assist her. We scheduled 2 appointments on her behalf within 12 miles of her location, and she refused to bring the vehicle to the shops to have it repaired and missed both appointments. When the first technician arrived to her house, after getting started and explaining how to solve the issue, she berated him and cursed at him while he was trying to assist her.

This created a volatile situation inside her residence, so he thanked her, packed up his gear and he left. She then posted a negative review about the 3rd party authorized technician in hopes to hurt their 30 year trusted business reputation. When we tried to mediate the relationship, she refused to assist us. This 3rd party technician and company explained they have the right to refuse her any service from the way she treated the tech on site and for what they referred to as social media blackmail to tarnish the good reputation of their business that has 30 years of experience in the area she recently just moved to.

Additionally, Velofix has territories and they expand territories regularly. We do not control their terms and conditions for service. They have multiple locations in her area and the newest one in her direct territory is managed by a franchisee who chooses not to work on anything except 2 wheel electric bikes. We (Triad) do not control other companies or 3rd party technicians’ service territories or guarantee that they will accept the opportunity to service the item.

There are other companies we have authorized and recommended for her which she has refused. We have had a long standing relationship with Velofix throughout many locations across the country and into Canada for over 5 years, but the decision to take the job is solely determined by the franchisee in the immediate area by zip code and the local Velofix technician in her zip code has declined the service request at their discretion.

Pat has the parts, with the assistance of the first 3rd party technician on site we have clearly identified the issue, and provided the modular replacement parts for her at no charge. She has the instructions, and she has refused to keep the appointments that were scheduled for her by our team after we located, and provided the diagnostic detailed instructions, parts at no charge, and pre authorized the service(s) for her with multiple professional and highly qualified technicians within her immediate area.

James L Lwk

I got the same BS. As soon as you threatened to take action they suspend you!!!!

Mine has never worked from day one.

We all need to get together and sue them. The company is nothing but a rip off.

Absolute junk! Never worked correctly from day one.

They jerk your around about adjusting battery settings on the horrible app for weeks. Sent battery back at their request. Supposed to return in a week and kept a month. Once it came back it was the exact same issues.

Called emailed and messaged and all they want to do is talk about resetting battery again. This product is junk and a waste of almost $2000. If you want to be ripped off buy from them. I am sure they will respond and say they tried to help me but did not.

Send a new battery or send a new unit. Once I pushed and threatened bad reviews and legal action they said they would no longer respond.

I bought in February and issue still not resolved. Have a formal complaint going to the Nc attorney General and the US Post master.

You haven’t inspected or replaced anything. You kept my battery for over a month and did nothing.

Now you just want me to send back again. Either fix it or give me my money back

Triad Electric Vehicles - Battery running down after 5 miles
The 1,000 Quantum model was advertised to run 22/25 miles per charge, and through grass and up hill, it does not do that, my first and only time taking it out it ran about 5 miles on level concrete sidewalks and the last battery level light came on, I called Triad service and they told me to diagnose the problem myself, their service is terrible they will not help at all, I do not recommend anyone buying from Triad

I just need to owner's manual to download. Seems like a secret to get! Scooter not working. Less than 1 year old. Barely ridden. Was but quit. Flashing blue light. Manual was sent via text when purchased. Tried to open again and unreadable.

You are posting about a different company who makes kick scooters. Im sorry that you do not have a Triad 3 wheel electric scooter, and you could not provide a photo of our product to verify, and therefore we cannot assist you with any documentation. We do not make motorized kick scooters.

Good luck!!!!!!! Nothing but a rip off company

Poor quality and customer service

The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because there are no negative stars... My problems began the day the scooter arrived. I could write a 2-page review just on the poor quality alone and that wouldnt even cover the frustration of the poor performance, terrible battery life and having to rely on passing motorists to assist me when the piece of junk died 3 kms from my house. I spent countless hrs on the phone and emails trying to get the issues resolved. Finally, after a lot of back and forth the refused to refund my money but agreed to send me a new scooter. OK I thought way to go Triad. Good on you. Until my new scooter arrived. The replacement is worse than the original. When I tried to contact them, they refused to return my calls and emails. I tried numerous times over a period of wo weeks until it became obvious that they had written me off as a customer. The brake lines were installed so that they ran behind the down tube making it impossible to close and secure the body. I had to remove the calipers and reroute the lines. The brackets holding the calipers were welded to far apart, so they used washers as spacers. No big deal except when you try to adjust the rear brakes pads and find out the washers cause the calipers to be to close to the tire so its impossible to get an allen key in to adjust the pads. They didnt include the bolts to secure the down tube to the body. Good thing I had the ones from my first scooter. Except when I tried to remove them the cheap plastic broke. I found two bare wires and had to look on my old scooter to determine what they were for. Turns out the were for the ground effects lights which cannot be fixed because they are LED strip lights. The plastic body was cracked at one of the hinges. it also had multiple scratches and paint missing. Both back tires were flat and the paint on front wheel was bubbled and peeling off. Obviously there were too many issues so I couldnt even assemble this piece of junk. I decided to put the new and improved battery they sent into my old piece of junk so that I would at least have something to ride, hoping the new battery would solve my performance issues. NOPE. The new and improved battery with Smart technology would completely cut out as soon as it felt the least bit of resistance. I would have to remove the screws, lift the floor and disconnect the battery in order to reset it. I could go on and on but I think you get my point. I also have pictures and video to back up my review. If you want to save yourself from a world of frustration do not buy a Triad scooter. They are poorly made Chinese junk and the company has Zero compassion for you as a customer.

Triad Electirc Scooter Complaint

Updated by user Feb 03, 2018

2/2/18 Friday - I contacted Triad again by phone today and once again went thru everything with the receptionist. (Asked for someone in management but they were all busy.

Said they would have someone call me back.

NEVER HAPPENED). Most frustrating and I'm deeply...

Original review Jan 31, 2018
On January 30th I received (2) Triad 750 series electric scooters. Having waited two weeks longer than promised, I was most anxious to get our new machines.

Upon arrival, one of the units had sustained substantial damage during shipping and was partially re-boxed in a furniture carton. Upon calling Triad, the receptionist advised me to contact their shipping dept. by email as they would not accept any incoming calls. So, I contacted them as instructed, included a full explanation along with photos.

NO RESPONSE. The next day I contacted the receptionist again and told her I hadn't heard from their shipping dept. and then sent a second request. NO RESPONSE.

The 3rd time I called the receptionist I expressed my dissatisfaction in not being able to talk to someone then asked for "New Sales" (thinking I could talk to the salesperson that originally took my order). NO LUCK! My friendly receptionist then tells me all the sales people are busy and makes no commitment to have anyone call me back. So, if your thinking of purchasing a Triad Scooter, remember, any product is only as good as it's service.

Now I'm pissed and wish I hadn't made the purchase. Joe Drazich, Lynnwood, Wash.

best way to get the issue resolved is to file a complaint on-line with BBB.org. this will get their attention.

But be for warned Triad is very well versed at deflecting any blame or wrong doing or the lack of communications. This is just my opinion but read the reviews at the BBB web site.

Then contact your credit card company and start the process to reverse the charges. Good luck to you
