I was considering buying the new Trex Outdoor furniture, however after doing some research on the internet, I found a lot of people saying some bad things about trex. Hence this post.
Has anyone purchased trex patio furniture as of yet? I would love to hear your comments and opinions before we make a mistake and purchase trex furniture to find out it is no good and we wasted our time and money.

I know this furniture is made out of the HDPE plastic, which is what we are looking for, however I was under the impression that all furniture made from the HDPE Plastic was the same. I found out I was wrong.

Trex is the worst company to do business with ever. Their warranty is NO WARRANTY
We've got the glider, and two rocking chairs and are looking to pick up some more this Spring. It's solid furniture, and has stayed outside in the snow all winter.
No issues. It's expensive, but well worth it.

We did a Google search for "trex furniture reviews" and "trex reviews". I found quite a few sites and people not very happy with trex at all. That is what made me a little concerned. We're still shopping around, so no decisions as of yet. Hopefully I can get some more information on this, but as it stands you so far have been the only person saying a positive thing about trex, even though it is not their furniture line.
I do know one thing for sure; trex is quite a bit more expensive than other brands out there, which is another great concern for us.

Where did you see the bad things said about Trex? We have Trex decking and absolutly love it. If their furniture is as good as their decking, i would buy!
Forgot to mention that the price of this furniture is almost twice as much as normal HDPE Plastic furniture, so am I paying for the Trex name?
no this is warranted solid and even a storm like Sandy wont take it away . I have heard nothing but great things but also see it as a wise and solid investment. HDPE is flimsy in side by side comparison.
