Tres Amigos Furniture

I placed a $5,000 order in January 2015 to be shipped to Canada. In addition to the cost of the order, I also prepaid approximately $1,500 in shipping and associated costs. When the shipment arrived, there were several pieces missing and every piece in the shipment was damaged with almost half of them completely destroyed. Tres Amigos advised that the only compensation available would be through the shipper. The shipping company sent a claims representative and offered only $2,200 in non-negotiable compensation. The claims representative arranged for the shipment to be picked up so I was left with nothing. I was advised by the sales manager that replacement pieces would be sent to supplement the shortfall from the claim. After repeated assurances that the replacements were being shipped over an 18 month period, the owner told me that only a further $1000 credit towards a future purchase would be offered. The replacement units were never received so I lost $4,300USD on this transaction.
