Don’t buy Trawick Internacional travel insurance. My flight was cancelled due to hurricane, I submitted the hotel and a meal for $140 and after 8 months I am still waiting for my check. I can not imagine if you really have a big bill from an emergency.
Now it's June 2025 and I still do not have a check. I spoke to representatives several times with the same runaround. Finally, I got a response saying a check was mailed, so I waited several weeks, but nothing came in the mail. I called back explaining the situation, as far as me not getting a check.
I was advised that they would open an investigation to track the check; this was over a month ago. I never received a follow-up.
I tried calling several times again, with the same response that the check needs to be tracked first. I just want to get my money back for my insurance claim.

Filed a travel claim, they canceled it. Filed another claim.
That took more than 3 months to resolve. They do not always respond to emails and are difficult to reach.
They keep asking me to provide information much of which had nothing to do with my claim. At times they would ask me again for information I had already sent.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified ReviewerResolved: Put up a fight when I filed a claim. They canceled my claim, I had to submit another claim that 5pm 3 months to resolve. They did not always answer emails and were difficult to reach on the phone.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Months of communication. They finally gave in and paid me what was owed.
They kept asking me to submit information. In some cases they would demand information I had already sent them. I spent hours getting together information to send them.

Verified Reviewer |Bad experience with Trawick International
I was stranded in Belfast, Northern Ireland when a cruise ship could not pass a safety inspection and, therefore, could not take on passengers. Trawick creatively interpreted the travel insurance policy to deny my claim for reimbursement for a hotel and travel home. They have more than 100 complaints on the Better Business Bureau.
