I needed to adjust a prepaid and scheduled hotel stay to the next following day/date from the original date due to unforeseen cross country travel complications. Both dates, regardless of arrival, had the same charge rate.
So there was no financial cost to reservationcounter. I was not asking for a refund just move the arrival date forward one day. The customer service rep refused to facilitate my need of change. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was spoken to very rudely with, They are just going to tell you the same thing!
before being placed on eternal hold. I later called the hotel front desk directly and they were more than happy to assist me but could not since it was scheduled thru reservationcounter. I was forced to rebook another stay with additional charges for the following date. How nice it was to get good customer service from the hotel directly they were polite, considerate, and willing to help with my needs.
I will now always book direct with the hotel from here on out with all my business travels.
The *** and rude treatment, I literally paid for, from reservationcounter will never be happen again because I refuse to do business with you both personally and professionally. I will also tell everyone I know the same and I will be calling the hotel corporate offices directly and letting them knows how you treat their customers.

Verified ReviewerThey charged me a service fee of $17.99 on 9/12/2025 for a reservation I made at a hotel in Massachusetts. The reservation was never made and my credit card was charged for $400 for the room also
Answer my phone call to discuss their charge. Their phone number on my credit card statement is not answered.

Called asked for a specific hotel they booked me at the wrong hotel . Definite language barrier .
I opened confirmation email within a half hour of booking and called back right away to tell them they made a mistake and I was told sorry policy is no refund . Tried BBB and customer service . Tried contacting CEO Ryan McCoy and no response . They stole from the consumer .
Will keep posting this all over until they do right and return my families money . #ryanmcCoy reservation desk .74564****

I looked a room at the Hampton Inn, Mesquite NV and paid for it no knowing they switched me to this unknown company. All the booking receipt say s Reservation counter.
I called them and they said the charge is nonrefundable so I'm paying double for room.
I think this is outrageous that you think your dealing with the actual company and you get switched to some fly by night outfit the won' refund your money. Never used this website!

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
I called and as soon as they answered, I asked if it was the hotel that I wanted to stay at - I was lied to and told it was. I did not agree to the rate because it kept changing and going up, but there were still two attempts for the full stay made on my card! Run the other way - it's all a scam.

First, I thought I was booking with the hotel directly. If I could offer you one piece of advice (besides steering clear of this fraudulent company) it is that you should ALWAYS book direct.
Companies like this like to make you feel like they'll take care of everything for you when in reality they just want your money.
They charge your card as soon as you book, rather than when you arrive like most hotels do. Next, if you have an issue, they will drag their feet, lie about contacting the hotel, and keep your money.
I contacted them two weeks prior to my reservation to change it as I had experienced a death in my immediate family. They said they would be in touch with the hotel. At first, I was relieved that I could rely on this company to take care of this for me during this awful time.
When nothing came in, I called, again, one week prior to reservation and was told the "hotel is not responding".
A day after the reservation passed, I received an email denying the request. Oh, and I was charged as a "no show" because TP never reached out to the hotel.
When I reached out to the hotel directly, they said they were never contacted by TravelPass Group regarding my itinerary and since it was booked through TP the hotel could not refund it.

Verified Reviewer |Changing a date for hotel
I tried to change the date through your company- Reservation Desk.com the woman i spoke with kept telling me i had to show up at the hotel on that day that there was no way of changing this date. I finally requested a supervisor and she went on to tell me the same thing.
I am going to Rochester Minnesota at Mayo Clinic because of health issues. No one should have to deal with this kind of runabout nor lose money at anytime let alone when they are having health issues. We have enough on our plate to deal with let alone spending money to drive and pay for medical bills.
I am not happy with this situation. Now I have lost time and money because i just needed to change the date?
Please explain this to me so it makes sense?

I was talking to one person and he was about to give me the confirmation # when another person started talking and charged me again for the same thing only more. She would not give me my money for a service charge which I didn't sing up for the room with her.
Never got the conformation # from him. I was quoted one price and charged another. They charged my account twice.
BAD, BAD AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I was talking to one person and the next thing I was talking to another. He was about to give me a conformation # and next thing a woman is on the phone and charged me again and more for the hotel.
And would not refund my money for the service charge she charged. Unprofessional about the whole thing. I was looking forward to staying in the hotel.
Someone suggested I stay there. NOT ANY MORE!!!

Rude and sarcastic. Alex and the manager Cris.
I needed to change my reservation I was asking if I could add one day to the end of my week stay.
When speaking to Alex he was not responding to my questions and was just telling my we can't help you. I asked for a manager, Cris the manger gave me the same response and told me he'd call me in 30 minutes to let me know if they could help.
He never called me back. I'm still waiting for the call.
They took my money with no problem.

Fraud fraud fraud
I watched charges happen on my credit card,while I was on the phone with the second *** liar! Trying to keep me on the phone to book a better deal.
I immediately ended the call and got on the phone with my credit card company. There was 2 separate charges already!!!

Not just reservation desk. Don’t use any third party site.
Almost all the rooms, flights and car rentals are non-refundable. If you booked directly with the hotel you can cancel up to 24 hour prior to check-in.
