No status update. I’ve still yet to hear back from my multiple requests sent to various emails for them.

A company that employs liars!! They trap unsuspecting customers in marathon sales meetings giving you no chance to think about their offer, no time to consult anyone-they get you to sign under duress.

Then you find out that the salesperson lied about what your points could be used for, how easy it would be to sell them when you wanted. I was told I would be able to travel to other resorts and found out that was a lie too.

I have had the place for six years and never been able to use it. I have tried repeatedly to reach out to Trading Places International and no one has ever responded to my complaints or request to return.

Preferred solution: Cancellation of timeshare that I was harassed and forced under duress to sign the contract.

User's recommendation: Stay as far away as possible from this company, it is the worst!

Cancellation adjustments due to coronavirus

My name is Janice Tavares and my customer number is 305334. I have reservations for 2 wks in Hawaii in May 2020.

The newest cancellation adjustments are very customer unfriendly. TPI might think they are so generous in waiving the cancellation fee and giving a bonus week which unfortunately ends on 12/31/20 and has other booking restrictions, but that is a terrible response to the current virus situation. For one thing, I have been given 1 or 2 bonus weeks and I have used one several year ago. They are worth squat to me.

What's important to me is getting my two weeks back. Seems the only way I can do that is to pay the $100 regular cancellation fee which would amount to $200 in our case. We had a reservation in New Orleans with Wyndham and they waived the fees and gave us our points back to use in 2021. THAT IS REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOWN TO THEIR OWNERS.

TPI is a subsidiary of VRI so the latter should make current cancellation adjustments that doesn't penalize their owners.

GIVE US OUR TWO WEEKS BACK WITHOUT HAVNG TO PAY A CANCELLATION FEE. The current situation due to the virus is unique and businesses need to show caring for their customers and clients.

Preferred solution: RETURN MY WEEKS WITH NO CANCELLATION FEE

User's recommendation: don't deposit with TPI. They don't care about you.

Hotel Horrors

We checked into Desert Breezes Resort for a romantic weekend. I had called the resort 3 times to request a 1st floor room because my girlfriend was disabled.

They said that they didn't have to comply with the American with Disabilities Act even though they were renting these units to the public.

During our stay there, because of the accommodations we were given my girlfriend was injured and we had to leave early so she could make an appointment and see her physician for pain medication.

You would think that the resort and its management company Trading Places International would be responsive to the injuries caused on their premises but they said they would not provide any insurance information unless I wanted to sue them. This company is not Senior Friendly.
